That freedom was re-secured during the war of 1812, when England (then an Imperialistic nation) wanted to take those freedoms back. Once the USA started to pull human rights on him (not killing people for religious infractions/ making women equal), the Al Qaeda became active again.

As a veteran I want to say thanks for your continued support. There are many veterans who have made greater sacrifices than I have but none of us could have made it through without the continued support of friends, family, and everyday citizens in this country. This country wouldn't even exists today without those who were willing to step up and fight for what they believed in and joined the United States armed services.

That freedom was re-secured during the war of 1812, when England (then an Imperialistic nation) wanted to take those freedoms back. Other countries don't get the freedom to vote, voice their opinions, choose their religion, have a press that can criticize the government, etc. What did you do differently to earn your freedom? Nothing.

@benovere There is no such thing as al quaeda. It doesn't exist as a group. Al Quaeda is a list of people maintained by the CIA who helped them during the invasion by russia of afghanistan.

@realman1000000000000 That's the taliban. Al Qaeda is a different group that has been active even before former president Bush (Sr) placed Saddam in charge. They are a group of shi'ite muslims who have two objectives: 1. Keep Islam pure 2. Spread Islam through any means necessary. Saddam kept them happy for a while since he was a Shi'ite dictator. Once the USA started to pull human rights on him (not killing people for religious infractions/ making women equal), the Al Qaeda became active again.

@benovere Wrong again. You don't know what you are talking about. The Al Qaeda LIST was made up of Mujahadeen fighters that the CIA worked with. It had absolutely nothing to do with the Taliban. Al Qaeda is ficticious in that it's not a group but just a list of names. There is no Al Qaeda to join. There are no Al Qaeda training camps. It's all one big fat lie.

There are many veterans who have made greater sacrifices than I have but none of us could have made it through without the continued support of friends, family, and everyday citizens in this country. This country wouldn't even exists today without those who were willing to step up and fight for what they believed in and joined the United States armed services.

When we took the oath of enlistment we either lied or knew nothing about the document and ideals we pledged to defend. We were negligent in not looking into the easily accessible information about the history of US foreign policy and the use of force abroad
