This is exactly right. I don't et why every1 like old school so much. The rhyme schemes are so simple and slow. One syllable rhyming just doesn't cut it anymore. Rap has evolved. I know that the song "Nuthin But A G Thang" is a classic but I don't understand why it is. IT SUCKS!!

As much as we need to respect old school and how far it took us, we also need to realize that because old school layed the foundation, modern rap has evolved a LOT. Plus a lot of you people are confusing "old school" rap for the gangsta rap of the 90's. Back in the 70s and 80s, groups like Sugar Hill and Run DMC were great, but back then rap was much more about simple rhyme schemes and having FUN. And there's nothing wrong with that. Because of that, we had fun too! :D
