  • this kind of system is not good to your printer probably you can only use it until a year or be happy within 6 months.. because it can cause massive damage to your printerheads and it will clogged your nozzle.. I KNOW I TRIED!

  • Thanks for the upload Gemsaninkis, much appreciated,, got my ciss of ebay with no instructions..

  • nice one. thanks

  • does this work for the r280

  • will this work on the epson p50?

the p50 is basically the updated version of the r285

  • i dont suppose they make something like this for an epson workforce 600?

  • hi

no doubt that i can do it, but dont have the chips.

due to my brain sutgery recently,i havent been working, but i am in talks with someone to take over the ciss side of things.

once i have handed it all over, i will give them allmy contacts, and tell them to see of they can source the chips.

if the chips are available, i will give you free advice on how to fit and nake it work, as i need to keep my mind active, as i am bored shitless just sat around

  • I have this same CISS - fitted it. Everything was fine and then I got the old flashing light showing the yellow ink was out. I just cannot get it to recognise the ciss now. Any ideas as only had the system a few wks and driving me mad!

Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Nice vid btw

  • Buying this 1 good cheap 18ml ink cartridges good value compared to my other Canon Pixma IP4600 miserly 9ml cartridges at x2 price.

  • hello. I seen some more vid in your page about ciss(es), and can you make one about Epson C43? :P

  • hi

sorry, the c43 is non-uk, so i cant do it

  • cool ciss, thanks for the vid, i'll need it cz i've ordered mine just now :D

  • you'll save some cash then !!

any probs, let me know, i don'tmind.

  • some? r u kiddin? I don't know what your currency is, but I think it is either USD or EUR. In either case buying the orig cartriges won't cost so much if to pay with theese currencies. But in my currency it will cost 500r black and about 1200r color cartridge. So you're a bit wrong: I will save GREAT amount of money :P

  • please help me Ive attached the CIS no problem but when i turn it back on awardwards the printer goes across once then stops and the light comes straight back on and the printer still says need change of cartridge no idea what else i can do i keep turning it off and on any ideas?

  • hi

this will be one or both of 2 things.

check that each cartridge is clicked in as far as it will go, press each one individually, quite hard, you will not break the printer.

the second thing can be the piping. if you havent got it right, it will cause a not recognised situation.

i lean towards the cartridges not being in properly as it is going straight to not recognised.

if you purchased from me, feel free to call the helpline in your pack.

i will have you going in 2 minutes.

  • Hi Peeps

Does any1 have any idea why the ink constantley keeps pouring out the printer head . After 4 picture prints the ciss is half full and the paper and printer is drenched with ink , ive just bought both of them , so not sure on problems relating with the printer and ciss.

Any help would b really appreciated

    regards mick

  • have you put the ciss bottles too high? put them LEVEL with you printer, not higher.

you got them from someone else?

i can still help, but cannot guarantee to sort out a problem with someone else's ciss, it may be faulty

  • gemsaninks thanx matey .....i put bottles above printer because no space to put level , so ive made a new shelf big enuff 4 both to go level .. and hey presto !!! no more abnormal ink flow ...if u ever in darwen i,ll get the beerz ;)

    CHEERZ

    regards a happy mick

  • great, glad to see that it was the bottles too high.

maybe other people will see this and do it at the right level, as it is a common error.

always have ciss bottles LEVEL, if anyone is reading !!

  • hi gemsaninks - great vid.

i've just installed a ciss in my new r285 but cant get it to recognise the carts - ink light remains on & ink monitor utility shows some carts 'grayed out' & others with red X mark..

i tried removing & replacing carts etc but no luck.

the carts have no reset button - any help appreciated.

  • hi mate

it is because the carts are not clicked in, make sure they are all clicked, press hard, you wont break the printer

  • hi gem - thx for your reply regarding carts not recognised by R285.

carts are installed ok. prob is random on each attempt to reset ie some grayed out & some empty - seller sent new carts (all V5) still the same.

is there a prob with the new R285's ? mine is model B412 A.

the original epson carts are recognised ok.

worried about buying another system just in case same thing.

  • hi mate

    this could be the setup.

if it happens randomly, but sometimes prints, your ciss is fine, it is down to a slight error in the installation.

a randon "not recognised cartridge" message is usually when the printer senses a slight jam, like the piping a little too slack or too tight.

any more probs and i can take a look if you can email a pic to me, i usually spot a problem within a second or two when my customers send pics.

  • hi gem cheers again.

at the beginning of your video your printer, at the end of its initial setup (with no carts installed), stops at the 'opening' for cart installation.

this does not happen with mine - it stops at the 'extreme right hand position' & i have to position the cart carriage using the printers 'ink button'

this is why i'm wondering if epson have modified (updated firmware) of the newer R285 models ? - i bought mine about 4 weeks ago.

  • hi ive just ordered a new r285, is there a set version of the ciss i would need for it

  • Hi sir! How do you reset the waste ink pad counter?

  • hi

you need to byspass the waste inkpad

i will do a video at the weekend, showing how to

  • Hi sir!

Do you have a waste ink pad resetter for EPSON TX200? How do you bypass T series EPSON printers? Tnx for the reply!

  • hi mate

not done the TX yet, so bloody busy.

it isnt a popular printer yet, so will look into it when a few more are in circulation.

i think its going to be like the c48 was, just the odd few sold.

i may be wrong, but keep an eye out, if it comes popular, i will crack it.

  • I just got my first CISS system, the one with out reset button;0(. I fittted it today, at first the orange light showed and after a little playing around it went off an it all seems to be working. The inks all show full now. I don't think I have the reset button that you said, thats on the system with the original cartridge, right? Thanks for the fast response. Any tips welcome!!

  • Great video, very helpful. Can you explain how to get to the reset button? Do I need to remove the CISS cartridge block to get to it?

  • hi

the reset button stick up, it is aatached to the cartridge chips.

you just press it for 5 seconds and it resets them to full.

do you already have this ciss?

if not, dont buy one without reset button.

i sell them with reset button

  • hi andy

    sorry for late reply

when your printer light (yellow/orange) flashes for inks run out, press it a few times until the carriage gets to the "replace cartridges" position. under the hole where you put cartridges in.

press the white reset button once.

then press your printer light again and let it go on its merry way.

your levels will go back to full.

  • how do you reset the cartridge chips?
