  • You are Amazing! Please make another PURELY Logic tutorial... *Perhaps on the different and more complexed uses for side chaining... or perhaps on how to rapidly speed up hi-hat or snare hits to an exponential degree to create a awesome drum fill effect...*

  • great job, i am just starting with logic, and will be able to use this information often.. thanks

  • great tip...

just went in and created a nice groove.

    cheers

  • Ultrabeat cuts the beginning off all samples loaded into it.

Ultra-unfortunate, especially since a drum unit shouldn't cut the beginnings off of drum samples.

  • @8messa Right click on sample name in blue>Initialize>Sample - Takes away the envelope and settings from the sample you replace leaving you with the whole sample.

  • Ultra Beast!

  • Thanks man! I just got given a computer with logic on it and have been making some beats, but couldnt work out how to use my own samples. Thanks.

  • Your Tips Rock... just sub'd

  • thanks, just imported my first 1 note 24 sample layer exs to ultrabeat :)

  • this REALLY helped! thanks, man!

  • I notice a few things require you to right click....What if you are working on a laptop that does not have a right click option...I wonder how to go about compromising that

  • Every macbook has ;)

  • either use two fingers on the track pad and click, or hold down control button while you click

  • The only 1 button laptop I'm aware is a macbook, and you right click by holding option and then clicking.

  • My bad, control, not option.

  • control-click

or if your on a newer macbook, you can customize the right click to be the right side of your trackpad

  • Is it possible to save your own Samples in the Drag and Drop Kit?)

  • You should be able to save the Kit in the drop down menu at the top.

  • i did the same drag and drop on the sampler bank ,it doesnt work with some of my wav samples, a wierd click will start playing and it mutes all my other samples

  • hey monkey i found your tips very helpful but i cant find my samples i checkd my external hard drive and my desktop do you have any tips on fiinding it PLZZ thank you so much asome vid 5 star

  • Cold you explain how I can drag and drop Apple Loop files into it ? Do I have to convert them first cos they don't drop in? They say they are caf files. Are all Apple Loops caf files ? Thanks for everything

  • This is amazing stuff. You answered my queries without me having to ask !! The samples from elsewhere, the drag and drop is PRICELESS..Many thanks.

  • I second that, he just saved my some precious time. a lot actually.

  • Very nicely explained... Logic it is..!

  • excellent vid...think i might upgrade to 8....sequencer is a great addition

  • hey gtargreg, in ultrabeat just click on the drop down menu, bottom left next to pattern, and select a pattern which does not have sq next to it, those are blank patterns, then you can import the sounds you want by following the instructions in the video.

  • Anyone know how to clear out a pattern? I can't seem to find it!

  • Great video. Thanks for posting!

  • right click on a mac?

  • legend! thanks for these awesome tips. you should've written the manual :)

  • i use logic 7 but i dont see ultra beat sequencer button.

is that only avail. in logic 8 ???

  • Yeah, this is only in Logic 8.

I didn't realise this, as I'd never really used 7.

Hope some of it's useful to you still!

  • g'day mate, im using logic 7 as well, i was wondering if u could tell me an easy way of loading my own samples in to ultrabeat... And if theres a way i can use samples in the arrangements page, to make drum loops, and record vocals etc over the top past the loop if u know what i mean....

  • @MASEVOE I used to use logic 7 and im pretty sure ultrabeat is in logic 7 pro, not express though. Ultrabeat was in 7 though.

  • Great Tips:) Thank you!

    Keep them coming.
