Everything about this skit was epic. From the animatronics, the costumes, the people and all the hard work they put in.

Only thing I didn't like...Shepard was hunched over and had some odd wiggles going on there. And I've watched her videos and seen the blog, the costume didn't really restrict her much. So, she could have stood up straight and just had a normal pose/movements. Maybe just a little jittery being on the stage thinking about all her months of hard work hoping it turned out well?

The acting doesn't seem THAT bad. I mean, it's just a convention, and it's passable.

And I actually like hearing the crowd scream, though definitely NOT through the dialogue.

I'm so tired of conventions where the costumes/acting/skit idea/exciting event/ etc. plays out in front of the crowd, and they're just silent. The people on stage are doing this for the audience, the least they could do is cheer loudly when appropriate. Apathy really kills the enjoyment.

I think the girl did a great job of portraying the idle animations of the female Co. Shepard, this wasn't an acting compitition. She got it right. and like most games the idle animations are crazy funny, ME and ME2 are prime examples. But it's a heck of alot better then if they were just standing like stone statues, her lip syncing was right on the money as were the Krogen and Tali's, there costumes were great for being hand made by them. The reporter ending was EPIC funny :)

I'm an artist and a detail freak. These are people with professional level skills (and outright professionals) without the backing of a studio. They put together movie quality FX and did an admirable job of acting. The stage presence was definitely felt. The audience response tells the story. And I have to rank myself thusly as a fan of the work. Can't say enough good things of Holly and her crew.

Hat's off. And I wish them well at PAX! Show 'em the love folks, they earned it.

@SephyInABox well in this instance, they were mimicking the movements of the characters from the game (they dont exactly stay still). In real life, nervousness is part of the answer.

@RipCurl808 Yeah I noticed Shepard swayying a lot, but she did a really good job towards the end with the facial expressions and hand gestures. The pointing movements are very typical of Shepard.

Though I also noticed she's got curved posture. Shepard usually has her shoulders pulled back and stands up straight.

But give the girl a break, she's a costume designer not an award winning actress, and I think she did an amazing job at what she's good at; designing and creating costumes.

If anyone has ever played Mass Effect 2 they would immediately realize that Holly and the rest of the crew are imitating the gestures and movements of the game characters, which for us, ME fans makes it much more familiar and fun to look at, so I guess I can understand why some people are saying that acting is bad; it could be because they've never played Mass Effect?

Anyway, I loved it, and enjoyed it thoroughly, well done guys! :)
