日本語と韓国語は本当によく似てるが、聞き分けるコツは：

・日本語は閉母音が少ない、韓国語には頻繁に現れる

・日本語の清音/濁音と、韓国語の平音/濃音/激音を、英語の有­気音/無気音に置き換えるときに、後者のほうが「分類しにくい」­状況が比較的多い

・[f]の音を外来語として音訳する際、日本語では[φ]、韓国­語では[ph]に置き換わることが多い

・韓国語に[z]や[ts]の音はなく、外来語では[d3]や[­s]（あるいは[∫]）に置き換える

でもやはり、片方の言語に精通していないと判別は難しいのは確か­。

ShiMeiWo is trying to explain how the two languages sound very similar but how you can tell them apart (heck, it's even difficult for other Asian language speakers to tell the difference) how there's certain letters that don't exist in either language, how the pitch is different, and what-not.

But sentence structure & grammar wise, it's almost identical... it almost sounds like just a different dialect !
