The water is about 6-7 feet in the deepest spot in that pond. I have been across lakes but they were fairly small. You can cross bigger lakes but have to be careful. My ROPS is top heavy plus water can come in through exhaust hole.
Roll Over Protection Structure. which is normally called a steel rack. Yeah. you should be able to. I can send you a pic of me crossing a lake with all the material to build a tree stand. I will do that when I get home. I am visiting the in-laws at the moment. The embankment is the other issue. It can't be too steep to get in and out.
Yeah, it's not bad. I have to avoid sudden movements because it is top heavy. We used to go north of the dam through the creek but the vertical cut banks gave us problems every time. Through the pond is way easier. i will admit, I was a little nervous the first time I crossed. LOL The ROPS is homemade with 1 1/2" tubing plus I have a steel wrap-around made of 2" angle, 1/4" thick. It's a 1987 8X8. ODG didn't start making the Conquest until 1994, i believe. Thanks for the comment
Nice video.Seems to float steady even with the ROPS roof on.Sure beats having to try to go around the pond. I think your machine is a Conquest? right?

I made my own outboard motor bracket but it is not necessary to cross dams and small lakes.

Was the water very deep? How deep was it? And can the ARGO go through any type of water? And can it go through a deep lake?

So in other words it can cross a 40 feet bay or lake right? And what is ROPS.
