A brilliant piece of filmaking. When will film snobs learn that Sci-fi doesn't always mean aliens. Sometimes it can be just as and even more dramatically powerful than a drama taking place in modern day. It has is a power piece of filmaking that just the score almost brings me to tears.
What an amazing work you did man, there is no doubt that a collective consciousness is being created and in one way or another; wants a change in this political, economical and religious system, associations and enterprises.
As someone who also loves Children of Men, I wanted to let you know that I used clips from your upload in my fan vid about "The Hunger Games." I hope they use Alfonso Cuaron & Emmanuel Lubezki in the final book of the trilogy (Mockingjay). My fan vid has Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Hunter Parrish as Peeta, Jadagrace as Rue, Chloe Moritz as Prim, and J.D. Pardo as Gale. Alias fans will like it, I think... Anyway, thank you for making this video.
@stick1000 Thank you! (totally blushing & deeply grateful.) On that note, congrats on having the best "favorite movies" list I've ever seen on a channel page; what's awesome is your taste, so I look forward to seeing your films on the silver screen in the years to come. Thx again!
This film was prophetic. We are on the brink of this actually happening and nobody knows. People can't see what the men who own the planet are planning. Chemicals in the food, water, air, soil. Permanent war based on lies and propaganda. Worldwide forced "innoculations" that are admitted by Bill Gates to be designed to reduce population not save it. Eugenics being discussed openly as if it is normal and not psychotic. This is going to happen long before 2027. Look to the jew bankers who own us.
That fit perfectly, and btw this movie made me tense up more than any other I've ever seen. The fate of humanity lies within the most fragile thing on Earth, a child, and yet it is thrown into a warzone. Scary stuff.
This is one of my favorite movies its really dark and makes you think about things we take for granted, aswome video you really captured the spirit of the movie
Today I've posted an entry about this magnificent film by my countryman Cuarón ("Take a visual peek into Europes grim future") in my blog "The West's Darkest Hour", which deals with massive immigration into Europe, including the UK. Our children will surely see scenarios like this...
I cant believe how americans react to this movie simply because their country, like most of the rest of the world, has crumbled. It it just a fictionnal situation and not everything in the world has to be related to the u.s.a. breathe deep and relax for gods sake.
What are you talking about? Define rambling. Besides, how do we (I'm American) react? I was stunned by the quality and sheer beauty in every aspect of this movie. I would like to read the book as well, though I unfortunately don't have the patience for much other than "light reading" by nature. :(
I think the fishes wanted to use the baby's existence to launch an uprising against the establishment... this is why they killed juliet because juliet wanted to smuggle the baby undetected into the human life project facilities to protect the our DNA and save the human family... juliet was all about the continuum
You must have had your eyes closed when you watched this movie, because it has a very strong anti-nationalist, universal humanist message. If anything it promotes more "multiculturalism" and unity amongst all peoples, showing the plight of refugee populations and discriminated minorities in particular; it also helps that the person who gives birth to the first child in almost two decades is black...
I just paused at Hong Kong and saw the flames engulfing the city.. How horrifying.. Also the New York part..I wonder how Britain still exists when the world falls into chaos.. I would've expected the U.S. to stay in the game but I guess they are a major target to terrorists.. If this was real, like happening right now, people in the chaotic areas would need to band together and unite as a community.. I wasn't sure when I watched the movie, but who was mainly causing the chaos?
The book pulled strings to set up the environment where everything was so seemingly hopeless. Those images aren't so much to imply that terrorists have taken control as they are to imply that the world has "gone to ****", as Theo states quite a number of times. I don't think that terrorism is meant at all by the pictures, just chaos and loss of control, and ultimately, the life of any society whatsoever. Beautiful movie, isn't it? Great user video as well
I think PD james who wrote the book knows that societies are breaking down and we will be experiencing this kind of world within 20 years. Its beginning now with police states in the UK and U.S. We wont recover from this depression, its the beginning of the breakdown of the system, and goverments know it which is why we have police states being incorporated more. They ar epreapring for it, and When the oil runs out it will just accelerate it even more
This song is, and always will be a great song. But yes, it is widely overused. BUT certain songs suit certain video's, so there is a time and place for everything.
Yeah, nobody really payed enough attention to it. It got good reviews and eventually did alright at the box office, but the Academy never even noticed it.

(SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) The Sad Part was the part at the end when they were in a boat when Theo was shot in the stomach but then the americans came and took kee and the baby back to safety.

yeah your right clive owen hasnt been in any movies worth mentioning (SIN CITY, SHOOT EM UP, THE NEW QUEEN MOVIE) your a dip shit you don't know what your talking about so shut ur fucking face.
NEW RULE: just because you're making a montage of a sad movie, does not mean u have to use Gary Jules' 'Mad World' as the backround song!!! im sorry buddy but this is such a played out idea. and besides there are other sad songs out there with just as much impact. you might know this if you didn't spend all your time philosophizing over the ending to 'Donnie darko' after u caught the last hour of it on MoreMax last week
You think Clive Owen is one of the greatest actors in the world? Which world are we talking about here, because he's not been in any movie worth a mention. Maybe you mean YOUR world, which is obviously a completely different fucking planet.
Alright, people have the right to their own opinions. Some people love this movie, and some dont. I think it depends on how mouch you pay attention to it. I thought everything about the movie was awesome. But it depends on who you are. While I said that was a kickass movie after the first time I watched it, my dad said it sucked...
first of all this movie was a fantastic movie, it won 3 academy awards and clive owen has to be one of the greatest actors in the world, secondly this is a good song, thridly ur a gay twat, fourthly you were an accidental, fifthly I don't even want to say, you and I both know it, sixthly your dad ran out on you and your mother dropped you off at an orphanage when you were 1 yr old and you don't kno that you're adopted yet :)
Dude.....come on.....don't say shit like your parents abandoned you.....thats a stupid way of insulting people.....and if that shit was true you would proably cry about what you typed for like a year.....I hate when people say shit like that.
im looking for a song which was in the movie
its about in the few min of the start at the movie
something with ppl wearing yellow jacks or something
its a quite song ...
i donno if its this one
but its something cute
can anyone help me out with song list which appear in this movie ?

BTW, the commercial playing on Theo's tv is for Quietus, which is basically a specially formulated suicide kit freely distributed by the government

You know, people, if this was included in the soundtrack and some other song montage was used, we'd be arguing over that

You think Clive Owen is one of the greatest actors in the world? Which world are we talking about here, because he's not been in any movie worth a mention. Maybe you mean YOUR world, which is obviously a completely different fucking planet.

Eric Cartman?.. Sesame Street's Big Bird?..a random person off the street with no actor training whatsoever?.. the list is endless.
