Wichita is the 51st most populated city in america, the biggest in kansas, bigger than st. louis and des moines, the 5th biggest in the midwest after chicago, oklahoma city, kansas city, and omaha. And has a metro of about 500,000. not to shabby ehh?

You got a heavy rail system? Urban boundaries are artificial, and invisible. The Atlanta area numbers over 5 million. You compare an urban population for other cities, then use the metropolitan population for Wichita. You compare apples and oranges.

However, the metropolitan area numbers 5.5 million, and if you include Baltimore which it runs into - referred to as a consolidated statistical metropolitan area, numbers around 9 million. Wichita is "bigger" than St. Louis? Oh please, grow up. Wichita is a small town. Small and particularly dull. Construction? LMAO. In D.C. we have billions in construction, about 5 billion on our subway alone. Happy to miss Wichita.
