  • he was nero, and thats it

  • Geez, this piece is crazy hard. Props to the guy who played this.

  • I listened to this while studying for a national test and got 20 out of 20, score obtained by 1000 out of 600 000 test takers. Thanks Bach!

  • Bach is always awesome, esp Tocata & Fugue in Dm. Bar graph rep looked somehow familiar. . Rotate it vertically and think "player piano roll"

  • I actually prefer this style of bar-graph score as opposed to your new ones with the oval. I just like the white light-up notes as opposed to all the auras and lines, it's easier to read and follow. Just an opinion.

  • and this was Bachs "warm up" piece.. Amazing!

  • PHOENIX WRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Vry good

  • Love the visualisation. It's like Organ Hero!

  • Excellent putting music into a visual and quantitive format. Bach is my favourite when it comes to organ music. An instrumental amplified rock band, I played drums in, had a go at Toccata and Fugue. I will find the old cassettes. This is great. Do you remember learning maths using different colours and different lengths blocks of wood? It worked for me. Depending on the child, it could scare them. Some kid's will play with snakes and spiders, others will freak. This piece was for church after al

  • It's sooooo looong, my goodness.

  • Holy shit! That is so awesome!!!!

  • being in orcchestra since the age of 13 really helped to discover my passion towards classical and orchestral music. im 16 and still loving the stuff

  • Hell yeah, new ringtone!

  • are there any resources on the internet that explains the in depth music theory of this piece? i hate when ppl just teach music theory and not teach it WITH a piece of music like this.

  • Isn't there a way to play this on piano?

  • @SuperPeruano13 I'm sorry but no. He plays half of it with his feet.

  • @TheOverlordJay2 I'm replying to myself, but what I mean is there are feet keys-things.

  • Kids LOVED This! It was wonderful to see the notes by note as they're played. Very cool! Thank you,.

  • @norcalmommy07 Children are my primary intended audience, so I'm pleased to hear that.

  • @musanim What age of children are you aiming this at?

  • @ilovestareon As young as possible. I've gotten reports of infants as young as nine months responding to the videos in a way that demonstrated that they understood them (that is, understood that there was a correspondence between the music and what they were seeing, and that the right-hand side of the screen showed music they were about to hear).

  • @musanim this is excellent. this is an excellent help ! thanks! what would be even better is if the squares had the note names in it! maybe some theory too or something cleverly added in?

  • I think this versus anything Mozart wrote and there is no comparison, Mozart is the more talented of the two.

  • At 8:18 I imagined the sound of applause!

  • Brilliant rendition of the Toccata and Fugue. I am impressed.

  • If you are conditioned to hearing E. Power Biggs, you might be mightily surprised at this version - it's steady, true to the music and grand - Bach would be proud!

  • I love Bach's music so much that I input, note by note, this piece, and the Brandenburgs, using a program on my computer, so it could be played back through my musical keyboard. Then it was all lost when arsonists burned our home to the ground. Thank heaven it is here, and so much more of the beautiful classical music.

  • xXOscarbrachoXx We all watch a lot of stuff, but should we feel obliged to comment? I would've been locked up a long time ago if I commented on everything I saw as I walked down the road!

  • Nice to know that it's a compatriot's doing ;]

  • Fucking glorious......

  • its like God Him)Her)self played on the organ

so I think that if I live for ever ,after a very long time ,played with my harmonica the 6the voice

  • The sound in this is great. Many other recordings of real organs playing are usually diffuse due to the accoustic nature of a church or similar being unsuited for recording.

Also, I assume this is your playing? It's very nice, not to fast and with a sweet consistency, with no parts rushed, every note of all the multiple voices can be heard and enjoyed to the fullest!

  • Wonderful posting, musanim. I wasn't going to have a funeral, but I just might so the attendees will be required to sit and listen to this. (smile)

  • A pleasure to both listen to and to watch.

  • Sweet

  • If you have ever listen to this on fantasia(1st one) it doesn't sound near as good as this.

  • @121UniversalCritic That probubly due to the fact that this was orignally an Organ peice and Leopold Sytockie made the Orctaster version...

  • shit is HOT!!! gänsehaut 5:00-5:05

  • omgomgomgomgomgomg so good

  • listening to this makes me upset, that I haven't studied at some musical school or something else

but anyway, the piece sounds marvelous

  • WOW thanks! This was an Eureka moment!!!

  • I dont know how some people prefer heavy metal, hip hop, etc. over this!!!! Most of these old compositions are awesome!!!!

  • What the hell, how can a person accomplish that level of complicatedness in such a short time that is our life? THIS IS AWESOME!!

  • Ye who doubt Bach's brilliance, this piece is proof of it!

  • welch erschuetternde tiefe

  • My favorite song/composition of all time is either this or Mozart's Requiem. I always wondered why all movie mad scientists seemed to play the beginning this tune on the organ, until I heard the rest of it! It definitely strongly appeals to the mathematician/mad scientist in me!

  • Absolutely beautiful! I worked on music visualisation systems, and I saw mary things, but that system is wonderful! I watched it all! All systems are great!

    Brilliant!

  • today accidentally see this video again and watched whole 8mins without blinking, again

  • Thank you, smalin, once again. I decided to learn this song. Though difficult on a piano, I'm enjoying every note.

  • was this the phantom of the opera song? anyways thanks for posting you changed the way i view this type of music musanim

  • @monkeypaw09 it was

  • I love how much music you can hear in this! Everything from nintendo video games to modern genres like metal and pop, not to mention all the classical that obviously is influenced by this!

  • This is one of my top 10 pieces of music. The natural beauty of his music can only be translated by the soul. Thank you for uploading this.

  • lol that js bach was a real joker

  • woooooOOOOoooooOOOOOwwwww!!! wow wow!!! that was amazing!!!!

  • That was delicious. :3

  • Why so many views, yet little comments?

(At the time this comment was written, this video only had 20 comments)

  • @xXOscarbrachoXx Most of the comments are on the version of this I posted on the smalin channel.

  • @xXOscarbrachoXx

Because after the hearing do not need to write anything;)

  • @c00z1989 amen to that brother

  • After an half an hour of search I finally found this video. Our music teacher showed us this.

  • @HermanAnimation Why did it take a half hour? It's the first result if you search for "Bach" on YouTube, and it's in the first page of results if you search for "organ." What were you searching for?

  • @musanim The thing is, I don't know ANYTHING about composers, but when I saw this I found this kind of music so good. I managed to remember the song by the graphic score thingy shown in the video itself and this was the one. I did not even know the composer.

Go ahead, call me a dumbass, but keep in mind that I at least try to study.

  • @HermanAnimation I'm not going to call you a dumbass. If you found this video without knowing who it was written by and what instrument is used in it, you were very persistent. If you approach listening to music with that kind of determination, you will go far.

  • @HermanAnimation None of us were born with the knowlage of anything - so mocking someone because they don't know is wrong. Instead, you should commend them for learning something they previously diddn't know!

  • its a little higher than what i heard from my teacher and a little slower but otherwise good job. (no she didnt play it it was a recording)

  • dumpert!

  • This is simply FANTASTIC!

  • Favorite part 2:40

  • anyone know who the organist is? E. Power Biggs?

  • @saloliver Please read "Q: How did you make this video?" in the FAQ.

  • well i would say if i had to rate this incredible music in a scale from 1 to 5, 1000000

  • Thank You! I knew about the mathematical Idea behind many pieces.

But this illustration explains the subject in all detail!

  • FANTASTIC!

  • best sub for pipe organ music? a tapped horn, followed by a 1/4 wave tampered pipe, followed by passive radiator, followed by vented sealed and infinate baffle

  • I'm totally obsessed with this one. Been watching it over and over again for what like 50 times in the past 6 months....

  • I like how the comments are not disabled althought they should be XD

  • After watching this for a while, and then looking at your facebook page, it looks like everything is moving to the right. TRIPPY

  • @Ariavariata95 YES. Just experienced this. So I'm not crazy!

  • @ktaboo Or we both are =D

  • oooooooooooooooo, lines:0
