Great Video very helpful to people on a budget, and just ignore the dumbies with the smart remarks, better still have their dumb comments removed. Thanks.
try growing a pineapple tree or an avocado tree you can buy both of them in the supermarket they are very cheap and you get to eat them first then plant then get to eat them again cheak my site
great video~ FYI , I asked my Walmart bakery if they gave away their 5 gallon pails (with handles) they get their icing in...baker gave me 11 cleaned out pails. FREEBIES rock!
weed would not work well upside down in my experiance... it likes to grow towards the light more then say tomatoes so it would just turn up and grow up not down... thats my experiance
As weird as it sounds tomatoes and cannabis grow quite alike.
Even though it would most likely turn upwards to the light source I would expect it to grow just fine. The tomato plant that I had in the upside down planter grew upwards to the sun.
i have tried it does not flower as well, as well tomatoes flower better in ground but it still is a fun idea and does work.. the weed doesnt seem to like it dont ask me why not but it didnt like the upside-down. its flowers compared on average to others on ground were lessor its bud were less?
I'm no stoner, but cannabis is a very useful and beneficial plant.
Even as a non-user I can't see why on earth it is illegal in so many places, the fibres, seeds, and yes, even the drugs it produces have so many uses from cord and fabric to oil, moisturisers, pain relief, relaxation and even recreational use.
Some people might see some sort of benefit in growing cannabis in this way, though I can't see the point myself, but it's most definitely a useful and beneficial thing to grow.
Nobody is interested in self sufficiency or in experimenting with producing home-made fabrics for fun? Nobody is growing it to use the oil in home made cosmetics?
That aside, what problem?
If someone wants to grow cannabis for use in self-medication or even in recreation, what problem is there that we need a solution for?
I am using my head, that's why I think it's utterly insane that there's any law against the growing, sale, possession or use of cannabis.
I'm very conservative however the only issue I'm liberal on is the legalization of marijuana. Right when it gains legality in IL, it will be the first thing I plant (even though I don't smoke).

Wow your plant looks so healthy! I've watched quite a few upside down planting videos and this was the first time I saw the coconut husk idea. That seems great. I can't wait for spring! :)
Wow, still crying on about the issue I see.

I use a half cut milk carton on top of the soil w/ 2 holes cut underneath as a water reservoir and it has worked out well.

If you're not part of the solution YOU are part of the problem.
BTW nobody is growing pot for fiber and oil! Use your head.

You know that for a fact?
Nobody is interested in self sufficiency or in experimenting with producing home-made fabrics for fun? Nobody is growing it to use the oil in home made cosmetics?

Just to clarify - when I say "I'm no stoner" - I mean I don't smoke (vaporise, eat or otherwise get high on) cannabis.
It seems like some militant ant-cannabis nutjob is giving every reasonable comment that isn't saying "drugs are bad mmkay?" the "thumbs down".
It seems like that someone needs a life.
thirteenfingers 2 years ago 4
Interesting. If you would educate your self then you would realize that cannabis is actually far more beneficial than a simple tomato.
Obviously you uneducated about hemp and cannabis. I'd advise you to educate your self about it at NORML.

Again, you clearly need to educate your self about a subject beforehand.

Some people, eh?
Ever wonder what it is that gets people so utterly wound up about that plant? I'm not sure I can figure it out myself.

I guess we'll never know.

I like how you defend marijuana.
I'm very conservative however the only issue I'm liberal on is the legalization of marijuana. Right when it gains legality in IL, it will be the first thing I plant (even though I don't smoke).

Should always defend the plant.
I as well, do not use it but I believe it should be decriminalized/legalized and used.

how long did it take you from seed to having tomato using your upside down bukit???
HHOSUPERHERO 3 years ago
That year I didn't have time to start from seed so you'll have to factor that in with the time of 3 - 4 months.

Miracle-Gro? Ack! Wow wants chemicals in their vegetables? Plenty of organic products out there much better than miracle gro.
utubepunk 3 years ago
I honestly couldn't agree more about chemicals and vegetables.
But, when it comes down to upside-down hanging planters, its about the only choice if you want any worthwhile harvest.
I've used a variety of different types of soil and even my own pure compost laced mixture. So far the best harvest I've had is the Miracle-Gro.
Plus when it comes to watering; it saves you from having to water the plant 5+ times a day.

Great job on the planting and the tutorial! just what i needed. would love to see pics later of different plants!
