Hey, I'm not very knowledgeable on guitar amps, but I wanna get a Marshall amp. I'm a huge fan of Dinosaur Jr. type stuff, but I want to know what's a great alternative to those great expensive Plexi's. I can't afford them, but what about this amp? I need to know the differences between these JCMs...JVM, etc.. Thanks!

Sounds good as always Dave. I miss my Dot. Traded it for an Epi Les Paul standard. Put a Duncan JB in the bridge and a custom Rocket Pickup Old School PAF in the neck. The thing screams! Just miss my big fat semi hollow.

I am in love with the les paul marshall sound. I am a big les paul guy, but i would love for one strat and one strat only a all white maple neck parchment white pick guard just like jimi!!!! now that is sexy!!!!

Never been a huge Marshall fan, but an 800 with a Tube Screamer is one hell of a good tone.

hey Dave - did you see that Ibanez just released a Tube Screamer amp? It's a 15-watt all-tube amp head with an actual Tube Screamer circuit built right in! It has those same 3 knobs of the pedal right on the amp's front panel , plus the normal amp controls. Cool, huh?
