  • After the semifinal in the Hockey Junior World Cup I had to watch this again!

  • This video has 1'24" of nothing at the end which made me use up unnecessary bandwidth. "On se niin väärin, on se niin väärin, on se niin väärin, on se niin väärin!"

  • Love that lady 4:59 singing about slowly walking husband - she definitely knows something about it:o)

  • Every so often I have to watch this to remind myself life ain't that bad really.

  • Love it.

  • as long as this is mostly sarcastic it's hilarious.

  • I thought Finland was supposed to one of the happiest countries in the world...

  • @chaitofu I think it's mostly a myth, at least these days.

  • Fantastic

  • /r/firstworldproblems/

  • Awesome :D

  • IT FEELS LIKE HOLOCAUST

  • "Our ancestors could have picked a sunnier place to be" is my favorite gripe. Since we don't have public saunas in Los Angeles (not any you'd want to go to anyway!) I'd love the chance to toss some water in a sauna without asking. Great job & thanks so much for brightening my day.

  • complaint choir songs are always too long

  • ahahhahahahahhahahaha lol!!! XDDDD

  • ATF OUTPUT £103 ADRIAN SWABY

  • a banking world where our space personel is not protected all get perecuted/prosecuted.............a utopia world government slave women and bankers only and top ill politiciands like film apoclypto

  • u.ndeground inside bohemian grove know thy enemy........

  • aw the finnish language is really pretty

  • Very good and entertaining. The pretty ladies made me want to live in Finland more that their complaints made me NOT want to live in Finland.

  • lol "women are paid less than men"

It's not true any more, what decade are these people living in?

  • @Gary190tube The Finnish one.

  • @Gary190tube - while it's true that in the present economy (at least in the US) more women than men have managed to hold on to their jobs, I am sorry to report that the wage difference is still about $1 men / $0.73 women, so "women are paid less than men" appears to be prevalent all over the world.

  • @Gary190tube - while it's true that in the present economy (at least in the US) more women than men have managed to hold on to their jobs and statistically more men have lost/been laid off their jobs, I am sorry to report that the wage difference is still approx $1 men / $0.77 women, so "women are paid less than men" appears to be prevalent all over the world.

  • @dianevxx any my apologies for the repetition - accckk on my posting skills

  • @dianevxx ....so if you have a part-time female worker sitting next to a full-time male worker, it's very possible that she will be paid quite a lot less than him (and vice-versa).

I would argue that part-time workers should be paid the same per hour as full-time...not because of the male/female thing, but because it just seems fairer to me. An hour's work is an hour's work after all!

The reasons that employers pay part-time workers less is down to economics and isn't to do with sexism.

  • It's not surprising anymore that Finland rules, cuz it always did! Once again then.. Finland ruuuules!!!

    Incredibly amazing!

  • This is epic. I have never been prouder to live in Finland.

  • Well, this time we didnt lose hockey. Eurovision? Not minding at all.

  • the furniture thing is so spot on. nothing is more irritating than seeing an ad of a really good table for example and you order it only to have it delivered in a box with the instructions on how to make it.

  • their called the complaints choir because they complain oooohhh

  • krÀss_sücht_mål_NAch:_geldeasy_åUf_gòÓglË

  • "And the Finnish language is bloody difficult to learn!"

    Amen, brother!

  • This is incredible!

  • Superb! The group is amazing. Their expressions, with perfectly chosen words at the precise moment, make it even more adorable. Just can't get enough of it. LOL

  • ei oo verellistä suomen kieltä mikä on vaikea, vain heimolaiskunnan suomalaiset kuka eivät halua puhuu toisille suomeksi

  • its not the bloody finnish language that difficult to learn, its the bloody finns that don't want to share their language with speakers of other languages

  • @kiente09 Really? Lol.

  • Fy fan vad bra :)

  • Oddly, it made me want to move to Helsinki...

  • Psychology Today had an article about you recently on their website in a blog titled, 'The Squeaky Wheel'.

  • "No me parece que sea justo." This is how to say "I don't think it's fair" in Spanish haha

  • @USCSoundCheck The Finnish phrase used here, "on se niin väärin" actually translates closer to "it is so wrong". It's the same word you use in an argument telling someone they're in the wrong (väärässä).

  • Awesome, I learned how to say "It's not fair!" in Finnish :D

  • I just moved to Finland in March 2010 and I found out this is ALL true. The bladdy language difficulties, cor! Well done and clever. Thank you to the Helsinki Complaints Choir. I do love Finland but it's always six-of-one and half-dozen of the other, anywhere. Zigmund Void Approved.

  • I love Finland. And I also loved this! Great stuff.

  • I lost it with those ringtones

  • Haha! Well these are serious problems indeed! (I love the part about the ancestors choosinng a sunnier place). Many likes for the song and music and you people there in Finland stop complaing about the sun ;) my ancestors chose a sunnier place to live and believe me life here at the moment isn't at all better! Greetings from Greece!

  • perfect! I love hungarian humor!

  • @littleone095 but it's not hungarian, it's finnish... :F

  • @TheKatriina Huh, it sounds Hungarian.

  • @littleone095 Huh, not at all :P It's much prettier! Anyway, just take a look at the title - Helsinkiiiii :)

  • @TheKatriina :) depends on who you ask; I personally love Hungarian, but I'm also a quarter Hungarian and have spent some time there..

  • BRILLIANT! :)

  • Nice idea but it left a lot to be desired.

Ultra Bra would have made this actually sound good.

...and realized to cut it short instead of over 6 minutes agony.

(Oh sorry, weren't we supposed to complain in the comments?)

  • check out albino hugh laurie at 1:50

  • 0:58 now that's an alto section

  • Only women and old men in the choir - does this tell something about who masters the art of complaining?

  • @tnesp Or then it might be telling about the (young) mens reluctance to be in a choir. Also I believe that for men it is not as socially acceptable to complain as it is for women. Isn't the general opinion - especially here in Finland - that men should be macho, rather than pathetic whiny wussies?

All in all, complaining is the human nature, age or gender does nothing to stop the behaviour.

  • I'm from Helsinki :)

  • Hilarious !!!

    Harmonious !!!

    Inspired !!!

    I just loved it !!

(Straight to my "Favorites" ... )

  • I've seen some of the other complaints choirs this inspired, but I still like the original Finnish one best.

  • there are quite a few translation errors in here...

  • ''the reference number is too long'' daym true, i hate to hit all those digits, seriously!!

  • Finnish Gurls are Planet Sexy!

  • This is one of the most beautiful things on Youtube. What poetic complaints. My favourite are:

    - 'I'm left with nothing to save the world with.'

and - 'my dreams are boring.'

I love the lady at 5:10's smile.

  • "And the Finnish language is bloody difficult to learn!"

  • it´s miles better than war, and demos... :-)

  • that's it - get it all off your chest.

  • And what's more, the person who posted this didn't bother to edit out the minute and a half of black silence at the end!

  • finland is fire.

  • Actually, I used this song to check what's my voice type xD (Trying to hum this, neither high or low)

This is beautifully composed, perfect, and funny at the same time, even though I don't understand the Finnish language :)

  • Comment removed

  • I have just come back to hear it again. I still love it

  • All complaints should be sung.

  • That is so great. lol @ 4:11's "And the finnish language is bloody difficult to learn!"

  • I still love this after all these years :)

  • Life can't be too rough if That's all you have to complain about lol

  • not only the lyrics are amazing..the song is perfect, this is one of many reasons I'd like to travel to Finland

  • There is an error in the subtitles. "Kusi" means actually "piss", not "pee".

  • @DrifterInvisible

Quite the same thing really. "On se niin väärin" would also be more like "It's so wrong" than "It's not fair", but the meaning comes trough all the same, so what's it matter? :I

  • check .........The Scary Demon in the dark flood

Beleive it guys, this paranormal appeared while the light cut off during the flood in Mumbai....very scary.... by Morad Yasin

  • congratulations!!!!

  • lol. the finnish languag IS bloody difficult to learn. i've been in finland for 7 months and already i want out :p

  • I'd like to congratulate u for this great job it's very modern way to complain I wish can see a choir like yours in my country Morocco. I ve been in Finland it's peacefull ,tranparent, just, highly advanced beautifull scenries but what I couldn't understand is that Finland is looking like a sad lady...excuse me guys but it's that what I felt and saw on finns's faces too...So You can tell me why or if I'am wrong u explain to me please....Bye the way ur language sounds great hyvä MInun Lempi

  • @zhemlja

    same here!

  • my country has problems too like

when the red light at the traffic comes on they still move past the red light

  • Finally something what I can be proud of as Finnish.

  • This one and the Birmingham one were the greatest. The rest is just a pile of crap, particularly the German and US ones. Buahh!

  • The ringtone bit is genius!

  • @speckle126 Mhm. It's a double pun, since they sing the Nokia Tone, and Nokia is Finnish =P

  • Why do people still eat animals ?? lalala lala

  • :-) Wow it get me smiled.... bitter...

  • "Idiots don`t know which side to stand on the escalator" whats that about it only goes up or down?

  • @pauldve if you happened to be in Finland (like me), you would have notice that escalators in Helsinki metro are ridiculously long. People always stand on the right so that others can actually run up and down of those things. Which makes sense, though, 'cause I also don't want to waste some 3 minutes of my life just standing on some random escalator LOL

  • @pauldve moving stairs..

  • I also think this is the best of the complaints choirs, both musically and lyrically. I like it a lot better when the complaints are small and petty. There's enough choral music out there about big philosophical issues; what makes the complaints choir concept great is the juxtaposition of these silly little problems with the "high-art" musical format.

  • I can't share this video there's something wrong with the link.. :(

  • I wish we had such kind of problems in my country!

  • @Bombaburina lol yeah!!

  • This has always been my favorite and, in my opinion, the best of all the complaint choirs. Music is catchy, yet has depth and some interesting change-ups. The video is shot well and the collection of complaints is cleverly strung together.

  • Where can this be downloaded as a ringtone? ^___^

  • I love it because it's so true!!

  • Hemmetin hyvä, paitsi naiset ei kyllä saa työtunteihin verrattuna sen vähempää palkkaa samasta työstä kun miehetkään.

  • I miss Finland so much ... :-(

  • cold and grey for most of year :/

  • PARAS <3

  • And you always looses against sweden in Icehockey and Eurovison song contest :)

  • "and finnish language is bloody difficult to learn" haha

  • @Kikuchijo It's true. -_-

  • Yeah this is really fantastic! Never seen such a good performance of other complaint choirs! :)

  • Japan's is also quite wonderful. I'd say those two are the best.

  • I've watched this one so many times.... and I keep loving it!! =D!!

  • Very entertaining this was!

  • Wow, that's one of my favourite Youtube videos <3 Every time I hear the "Nokia tune", I start singing "soittoäänet kaikki yhtä ärsyttäviä" :D

  • This is wonderful, why I have ot seen this before! Most of the things mentioned are so true, waiting half a year for your turn for a doctor is a common issue, jobs are moving to China also.

  • Nice ;)

  • This is the Best choir of all is so perfect professional 100%

  • @susanglavx

god forbid if they couldn't do this right the entire country would be fucked to hell

  • @susanglavx : yeah, the group is amazing. Their expressions, with perfectly chose words at the precise moment, make it even more adorable. Just can't get enough of it. LOL

  • I use the Helsinki Formula!

  • Brilliant stuff. Why isn't there a British version of this? Moaning is our national pastime!

  • Birmingham has one! Typical really - they were the first.

  • There is. There's a Complaints Choir of Birmingham.

  • This was probably one of the first Youtube vids I watched. It was SO good, and it's still awesome now!

  • I really love this choir, my colleague showed it to me on a Czech server. I'd like to see something like that in Czech Republic as well, could be fun!

  • Fantastic composition!!! :) ...."And the Finnish language is bloody difficult to learn!!" hehe that's right ;)

  • @Stimmtalent That cracked me up good.

  • "miksi metripitsa ion vain puoli metriä pitkä" I wonder that too.

    And "miksi aina juuri minä"

    Ringtonespart is hilarious

  • It's funny to see what people complain about. I am Hungarian supposedly relative of Finns but listening to the language I highly doubt it. :) Anyways, check out the Hungarian Complaint Choir! We also complain about the tram but most of the subjects are different. :)

  • haha. That is awesome!

  • Have you noticed that the majority of most choirs are women?

The choir joke is that the only men who join choir got lost on the first day of school.

  • Have you viewers noticed that most of the persons in the Helsinki complaints choir are females?

  • Comment removed

  • hehe, Suomen Keili on niin ....difficult... opetella.

  • GO!! Kikka GO!!

  • GO!! Elisa Hilli!! GO!!

  • Best complaint choir ever!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha, I'm a Swede, but I really couldn't care less about Eurovision or Hockey. Seems like a weird thing to rant about.

  • Well, I'm a Finn and I don't care about those things either. Some of the other complaints are a bit weird to me too, like the daily paper being too thick ;-)

Seems to be a mix of serious (even sad) and funny, more trivial, complaints.

  • Masterpiece!!

    Ringtones... LOL

  • This has been wonderful! Bravo!

Please take a look at our (Hungarian Complaints Choir) too!

  • Aside from all your problems in Finland, you have a hell of a sexy language! ;-)

  • Thanks (kiitos). I think that you are first one who likes Finnish. Most of people think that Finnish is difficult to learn. If you speak English I can understand because we have ä and ö letters.

About those probles in that song I think that they are problems of people who lives in Helsinki.

Mutta tuo on vain minun mielipiteeni.

  • Errm, I hope that made sense.

  • Finland ROCKS!

  • Wow, that whould be so awesome! Thanks (:

  • Sorry it took so long ^^'. Lyrics:

    Töitä tekemällä ei rikastu

    eikä rakkaus kestä ikuisesti.

Eikä uimahallin saunassa kysytä lupaa löylyn heittämiseen.

    Vanhoista metsistä tehdään vessapaperia

silti vessoista on aina paperi lopussa.

    Miksi halpatavara ajaa kansan hulluksi?

    Helsingin keskelle kohosi taas ostoshelvetti.

Naapuri kurkkii ovisilmästä kun luokseni tulee vieraita ja tulee etuajassa saunavuoroonsa.

  • Chorus:

Aina hävitään Ruotsille lätkässä ja Euroviisuissa. Joulutavaran myynti alkaa joka vuosi aikaisemmin. Miksi toiset eivät ole samaa mieltä minun kanssani? Työpaikat katoavat Kiinaan, kolmosessa haisee kusi.

    On se niin väärin! x4

  • Miksi metripitsa on vain puoli metriä pitkä? Imurin piuha on liian lyhyt

    saa paketillisen lautoja.

    On nenäliinat liian kovia

    ja hukassa kun aivastuttaa.

    Sukkahousut valuvat kävellessä.

    Edessäni on aina pitkä mies.

Töissä taputetaan olalle- ja puukotetaan selkään.

  • Chorus:

    Uneni ovat tylsiä.

    Viitenumerot liian pitkiä.

Naiset saavat edelleenkin miehiä huonompaa palkkaa.

    Paskanpuhujat menestyy liian hyvin elämässä.

    Hesari on liian paksu.

    Miksi aina juuri minä?

    On se niin väärin x4

  • Hammaslääkäriin on puolen vuoden jono.

Sen jälkeen hampaan voikin poistaa kokonaan.

    Kaunis paita värjäytyy pesussa

    mutta ruma ei.

    Ei aikaa Reilun Kaupan tuotteille

    kiire sinne missä ne kasvaa.

    Lööppejä ei pääse karkuun.

    Aina on väärä sää.

    En koskaan saa tarpeeksi...

    Repeat first chorus.
