No, domo can also be a way of saying 'hello'. "Domo arigato is a polite form of 'thank you'. But domo is used in different ways.

its dozo.... they use it alot when referencing to an action EX : "please sit down " can be done by simply gesturing at a chair and saying dozo .

Yes, but you say "dozo" when you are offering something, for example, someone could say "dozo" when they want you to go ahead of them. But you say "onegai" or "onegai shimasu" when you are asking about something. You can use "kudasai" if you are asking someone to do an action. It gets a little confusing.
