  • so far ive been with CAP for a year and 1 month and this is what ive done: 1 sarex(the 2nd one got cancled) 2 O-flights(my squad finally has funds :D ) 4 glider flights, 2 GLA's basic then advanced, and drill team( we lost to many members so our drill team is gone :l ) and LOL im only a senior airman XD

Cadet linars FL-024 of STUART FLORIDA ORRAH

  • Hey everybody. I am thinking about joining the CAP but am a bit nervous. Is the physical part extremely intense? I am not saying I'm like overweight because I am not. I run track and play football but I am just a bit unsure. Feedback is appreciated.

  • @thingthingisalive in my squadron the physical part is a joke, you should be fine

  • @dude444666444 hey thanks for the reply just went to my first meeting and it is amazing! i went of physical test night and it didnt seem hard for me

  • @thingthingisalive Yeah, it's not too bad (at first!) Good luck with your CAP career!

  • @thingthingisalive well dude lol it depends on teh squad like mine is pretty hard if your not in shape

  • @crazymn321fan Hello! Thanks for the reply! I joined CAP soon after I posted that comment and I find the physical part pretty manageable (I weigh 105) haha but yes thanks anyway!

However am I the only one to notice that senior member drilling seemed to be borederline hazing

  • @RMRCAP030 Many people don't seem to know the definition of "hazing" as per 59-10. He was merely speaking loudly and with authority. Neither of the statements "Ready FRONT! Fall in cadet, let's go!" nor "Flight HALT. I'm gonna tell you that in the last 30 minutes, you have become a sharp, very sharp, marching unit!" show sign of "conduct whereby someone causes another to suffer or to be exposed to any activity that is cruel, abusive, humiliating, oppressive, demeaning, or harmful".

  • @RMRCAP030 I hope that clears things up some :]
