Very touching. THe first time I heard this was at camp and By the time it was over almost everyone in our camp, including me, was on there knees on the floor crying. I, myself cried for at least 15 minutes.

I don't know the overall numbers but I can say that the European Xians invaded my country & slaughtered most of my ancestors. B4 they were finished, they had murdered millions. On the other hand, I don't know any atheist who killed in the name of atheism.

So basically god sent himself to earth to sacrifice himself, to himself, to save us from something that he created? And if we find this hard to believe then we go to hell forever. But he loves us? I have two kids, and if they didn't love me I would be sad, but I could never torture them forever bc of it. this god is sadistic. Good thing there is not a shred of evidence to support any of this.

@mountainmanbear God didn't create sin. It all started with Satan- who tried to become God. He was cast out of Heaven when he rebelled against God. Then he decided to have war with God and started sin with Adam and Eve. So God sent His only Son, Jesus, to shed His blood as the Ultimate Sacrifice to cover our sins.God isn't forcing ANYONE to go to hell. He gives us a choice to either live for Him or follow Satan. Anyone who follows Satan will go to Hell with him in the end.

Jesus loves His children, but if they turn their backs on Him and continue with their sinful ways- they will have to face consequences. For example, lets say your child ignores your rules and runs off doing his/her own thing, would you not punish the little one? All sin comes with consequences, no mattter how much it hurts God.

@mountainmanbear Jesus cries for His children when they follow Satan because He knows the danger and what will happen in the end. Take the Prodigal Son, and the Lost Sheep parables in Luke 15. He longs for His children to come home! However, while He is a loving God- He also is a Just God. There are consequences that come with sin.

Where else could it come from? There is no justice in torturing someone forever bc they couldn't believe these stories. In justice the punishment fits the crime. Would you expect to get life in prison for a speeding ticket?
