Id be lying if I said I didn't like it but did he say if you get radioactive material you just hop in that shower wash it off and just go into the office?
@terrybrookman not in Paris MO. It is the same design as the Paris site and same guy used to own both. Paris site got vandalized a couple years ago and they stole copper pipes. Water flooded the place and then they had a really bad mold problem. There is also problem of the local tweakers breaking in to the place.
there is a line of these bunkers stretching from California to the east coast and Bell telephone build tens of thousands of bunkers around the US.
some guy has copied parts of this video trying to make out that its from Area 51. Not sure who hes trying to fool. type in ''INSIDE AREA 51 (Nellis Military Operations Area) FOOTAGE'' into you tube search. :O)
Only an idiot would spend 440k on this. For the same amount you could build 2 nice homes just about anywhere in the world. I dont know who is the more stupid- the buyer or the seller. Its a tough one.
Looks like one of the old Sprint Long Distant switching offices (CO) they built back in the 70's. There is one down in Akron, Ohio, just as you enter the city from the north. You'd never know it was there except it has one side exposed, everything else is underground. Plus it leaked, not a lot, but it did leak.
i feel really sorry for the new generation and their attitude towards nuclear war,as if it will "never happen" just because the cold war is "over" my philosophy is,as long as there are nukes in the world, there should be just as many bunkers ,but almost every single bunker is abondond these days,so now what we have is a once again growing number if these weapons in the near middle future and a large population that ignores nuclear survival and saftey, what happend to "Duck and cover?!?!"
Wow this brings back old memories! I did service protection for these coax lines from 1980 to 1994 when we tore them out. I patroled these lines from one under ground to another. from la to San Louis Obispo and out to Mojave. I spent a lot of time in these places. We were the original Men in Black as it were. --*
I would totally buy it, 440k that' as much as a house, and I would consider it a house as well. but im totally going to buy something like this, when I get old enough for a house.
zibbix ...still need's a lot of stuff for a fallout shelter..charcoal filter system , sewage system , water supply , you didn't say how thick the walls were. for 440k not bad , but ..but it's to small , and you need a lot more stuff in there..but it's a great start
it might save you from the 1000 degre wearther outside or from a small metor . but when the sea comes rolling in, it better be water tight because it will take a few weeks or months for it to go back. dont forget somsort of cooling system. look up nibiru
sad that it is 440thousand bucks now, But when something happens money will not exist. Money is an object but damn hard to obtain it :[. I would so buy that and make one room filled with different guns and grenades one room with different food and beer. Now i know what to buy when and IF I I WIN the lottery.
how cool would it be to have something like this! You would defenatly need a good imagination to see the potential. Grow your own veggies in all that space. I wounder how much it actually cost to run? If the generators are still there then it would be a plus to be totally off grid.
i read these comments and wow! didn't anyone watch the video? no really? did they? it's all in the video. some one should open a bar called the bomb shelter. have a bunch of green lights. and a stage.have a bus come from cali, ariz, and nevada. a tourist bar setup.

The best use for the place would be a hunting lodge. There is a lot of Elk in the area, plus coyote, prairie dog, rabbit, deer and much more to hunt. The Navajos have many square miles of ground across the road you can hunt on with a permit. South the State owns every other square mile.
I'm so getting one of these some day. There's so many use I can think of for such facilities. Shielding from a nuclear blast is, however, not one of them..
