when I was much younger, about 10 or 11 I asked myself "what if everything I see right now is an illusion"? "What if everthing we see around us is just a physical creation of what our conscious minds make up"? 10 years later I am learning that what I though all those years ago is actually true! How could I have possibly thought that at age 10???

let me simplify: In the beginning there was the word. Without a word you cannot build complex stuff, you need a structure to work with. You can only create what you can imagine and alone you cannot build much, you need others to share these words with. Now the systems tells you a word like consume, amass, etc... and such is going to be the matrix. The matrix is inevitable, the only question is what word will you pick?

You answered your own question. Imagination exists "IN" our minds. "IN" our minds is localized in a small area called a brain, and the rest of the universe exists outside of the brain.

The only conclusion u could be heading to is that everyone is their own universe, or that we could create a universe of our own because of our powerful and unique minds/imagination. What you need to understand is that we are not just dependent of each other. We are interwoven.

dependence still indicates a separateness, interwoven indicates unity, oneness

and the tree--there would be a pressure wave but to have sound an ear is required

I'm not trying to convince you or anything. Just pointing out :there's more to investigate and it is worth it.

The seer is taken in by the scenery and gets lost, caught up in the drama, play, hysteria. As a Hindu would say. A Buddhist would say: not seeing the nature of reality, we mistaken appearance with it.

And through this ignorance suffering arises.
