so, these people are saying that is doa dies, then xbox dies which soo isnt true. halo is what keeps xobx going i personally think. So i pay both tekken and doa, and im more impressed with doa.because of the countering and everything, it makes it harder to beat people that know how to play. and theyr r way more moves in doa, i think its more of a challenge and more fun..so neways. this video is really good =) i love doa
Thank you. Fighting games are unfortunately a very small portion of the industry, so the idea of xbox dying because of doa is ridiculous. Anyway, I'm glad to see that somebody understands doa. Thanks for the comment
to come to a competing level of tekken, doa needs ONE more huge game that has a stunning effect. and i think doa4 kinda made one. but if tekken makes a bigger one, which it is famous for, then doa will become a c grade game regarded by nearly everyone. and xbox will start to decline, never to compete with the ps saga again
The word "scrub" doesn't even come close to describing your incompetence and stupidity. If you knew the first thing about fighting games, you'd know that DoA pales in comparison to Tekken as an overall fighting game, competitive or otherwise.
The only thing DoA has going for it is pretty graphics and girls with big tits. That's it. Tekken has a flawless 3d engine and is second in depth, for 3d fighters at least, only to Virtua Fighter 5. The best 3d fighter is Tekken, end of story.
Here's a tip; don't try to make a such a ridiculous claim without even supporting it. The fact is the only reason you have such blind allegiance to Tekken and games like it is because you've been conditioned that way. These games have been basically the same for decades in that they rely on memorization and execution of absurdly long combos and juggles. DOA, on the other hand, gives the player reasonable access to all the moves and the skill lies in strategic uses of them.
DoA is a turtlers game. It's filled with counter-whoring and mashable combos. Tekken not only has juggles that are technically difficult to execute, it has a huge variety of mix-up strategy, and match-up details so that the players are forced to adapt to their opponents character and play style.
DoA has so little possible mix-ups, and the balance is so horrendous that you won't win unless you use Ryu Hayabusa. No match ups, no strategy, no depth. It's a laughing stock in the FG community.
I think I've identified the problem here. Judging from your arguments, it's clear that you've never played DOA for any reasonable amount of time or learned how works. That's somewhat understandable as it's very different from the other games and you need to rethink things. Please, as a favor to yourself, drop this needless hostility and rent DOA4 with an open mind.
Yes, I have played DoA4. Though I don't own it myself, I gave it a shot after several friends urged me about 8 months ago, and even played it twice a week for a couple months with an open mind. Without touching the game before, within a day, I could beat them all, after they'd been playing for months, studying CGS players and combos. Why? This game has 0 depth. I know fighters, and I read people well, so I just countered all day, and won. Smash is the "different but deep" fighter. DoA is shit.
As much as I don't like playing DOA, because i suck at it, it is the most fluidic fighting game i have ever seen. The game flows perfectly with common sense controls, not random buttons for random moves. I look at Techen as a stiff, rigid game where the gamer is locked into a state of memorization not creativity.
nice vid dude, the moves look fluid and awesome in slo mo XD
