I LOOK LIKE ONE OF THE BEATLES ALITTLE BIT I WROTE SOME SONGS ABOUT THEM AND DID SOME JOKES, GOT ON LOCAL TV AND RADIO THEY INSPIRED ME SINCE IWAS FIVE YEARS OLD I AM 51 NOW. I STILL RECORD FOR AHOBBY BUT MY STUFF IS SUPPOSED TO BE COPYRIGHT AND NOTARY PRTOTECTED. I EVEN DREW SOME PICTURES OF THEM BUT TO SAY I LIKE MR. RINGO STARR. FROM NE OF HIS PHOTOS HE SHOULD HAVE PLAYED A DRUG LORD IN THE MIAMI VICE SERIES . I HAD HIS MOVIE CAVE IT WAS FUCKING FUNNY ALL THAT PUSSY YUM ! RHEGROTE@YAHOO.COM
Listen to the surge of applause at 0:30 when Ringo starts singing - do people love this guy or what? And does he say what I think he says at around 1:33 or so? Who cares, it's Ringo!!!!
If you think Julian Lennon, Paul McCartney, Dhani Harrison, and Ringo Starr should team up one last time as the Beatles for a tour because Paul and Ringo are the last two remaining members, thumbs up.
Love Ringo.....who would have thought that a pair of knitting needles he was given when he had TB as a child would have made him into such a talented drummer WOW......(glad he didnt make a scarf) LOL
This performance seemed "half-hearted". He left out certain drum runs and just basically seemed uninterested. This happens quite frequently with live performances. I guess it's just burn-out and boredom. When you think about the many times artists play/sing their hits it's not surprising that their enthusiasm is lacking.
ringo should have stayed with that style, I really don't like his glasses, are the glasses with some medical purpose?, well ringo may not be the best beatle, but he is awesome!!! or at least the ringo album!!! and his drums and songs in beatles!!!
Interestingly enough, Ringo has had more top ten hits than any of the other Beatles. A fact. Enough said. Besides that he married Barbara Bach....not exactly an ugly girl!!! lmao......
@billsurf101 Someone here writes that Ringo has had more top 10 hits than any of the other Beatles. This is not true. According to the Billboard book "Top 40 Hits" (3rd edition), Macca (i.e., Wings) has 16, Lennon has 8 (plus one that peaked at 11), Ringo has seven and George has four (not counting the Wilburys).
all the Beatles were important they were the Fab 4 not 3 or 2. and even if you dislike Ringo's music give him credit for being caring enough to show up to this charity event unlike Paul and John who refused for ego reasons
@revengeguy John had some sort of sick need to be pussy-whipped. Yoko is a no-talent gold digger who recognised that and pounced when she met him. Those types always find one another.
It's sad that John and Paul never realised that neither of them was worth anything musically without the other; only George and Ringo were able to make contributions to music after the Beatles ended.
@ImAGrasshopper Yup. Hated every stupid tune they ever did. John and Paul needed each other to achive greatness; Ringo and George didn't. Wings did insipid crap like "Venus and Mars are all right tonight" *barf* while George created The Travelling Wilburys.
@ImAGrasshopper Well, excuuuuuuuuuuuse me for daring to have an opinion that differs from YOURS! I happen to think that Wings is crap; you don't. If you like that stuff, enjoy it, but I have a right to not only disagree but to SAY SO.
Paul McCartney and Wings was a crappy group that pumped out insipid, limp-wristed top 40 tunes that appeal to the masses; it made money, but NOT musical history. The Wilburys, on the other hand, are the greatest rock band ever.
@KaptKan1 band on the run wasn't bad(the album), and songs like live and let die were awesome. ringo only had 2 or 3 songs i really like out of his solo career as aposed to paul and john. still george is my favorite but i didn't like bob dylan so i never really like traveling wilburys.
Forgets words, doesn't miss a beat, cracks a joke to Jim Keltner, keeps it together. Charisma. Stage experience dating back 10 years. Perfect. A great moment in rock history. Grrrrreat song too, the second best by an ex Beatle in 1971.
Better than the studio version even if Ringo forgets a few lyrics. Energy trumps all!
