@VonHendrixTV I would say only the high range BC Rich's, not the ones with Rockfield or BDSM humbuckers. You could also try Dean, great quality, good humbuckers but a little lack of gain on the lower tunings. You can also try a Gibson or Epiphone Flying V, also good quality but you just need to replace the pickups by Seymour Duncans or EMG's (I hate them, but they're great for bands like Origin and Cannibal Corpse). Hope I've helped with this information.

@VonHendrixTV comparing the gibson to the epi flying v, the epi has more low end, which is good for cannibal corpse, i bought an epi v on ebay for $250 and I play it more than my dads more expsensive guiatrs, for the bc rich youd need a good 10 band eq to get a good tone out of one. my friends warlock sounds like staright du-du just through his amp

amazing. i think its sad when people turn there nose up on a v because " it looks wierd". they are missing out on some pretty sick axes and from my experience vs balance better and you can turn it to any angle and the weight won't twist it back the just balance perfectly. and it is easier to reach all the frets because there is no cut away to stretch your fingers over or bang your knuckles on. don't get me wrong i play every body style of guitar , but if i'm playing a solid body its gonna be a v

I just picked up one at a pawn shop. Needs some rewireing. Im going to sand it, paint it white, put a nitrocelluose finish on, turners suck, changing them out, finish it off with tone pro's bridge. Nice playing!

Those guitars are the best deal on the planet. I have a cherry with the crescent shaped fret inlays and I will NEVER part with it. I'm taking it to the grave with me along with my Yamaha Weddington Classic.

Would have liked to hear what you had to say about this guitar while you still had it... I'm on the verge of buying one. When I used to work on Denmark St. for World of Music I never thought too much of them but they've really grown on me. I know that Gibsons often come with frets that appear to have been made by gillette and are in need of a serious set up but what do you think about the rest of it?

Yeah they need some serious sorting out, the scratch plate was like paper... Get one if you are have to buy new tuners, and pay a luthier to sort it out ;-)

I'll probably buy one used that has had a fair amount of play. I should be able to set it up pretty good. The tuners a re definitely a piece, but for between 600 and 750 US dollars it's not a bad deal, especially on a Gibson that will hopefully hold some value. Plus they look like thrash metal.

If you do NOT like the neck weight and thickness of the SGs neck you wont really like Gibsons to play in general as they all have the same basic neck style. If you like Thinner lighter necks and dont have gorilla hands needed to play a Gibson (or in my experience) Jackson would be the best way to go.

Your tone is more fuzzy in this video (less tight) than your PRS videos. It sounds more like my les paul, whitch has the same pickups and always make my amp sounds like the tube are starving. I though the problem was my amp, but should I understand that this "problem" is common to every Gibson guitar? This problem is obvious when I play on the neck pickup around 12 fret on the 3 lower strings... all of the highs desapear.. maybe these pick ups are two hot? somebody help!
