@boneunowproductions some people have been in prison longer than that. indonesia use to have maximum 80 year prison sentences, i guess because they didn't think anyone would ever complete it and it represented an average life span, then they used life sentences when a guy went to prison at 17 and came out at 97 and 5 years later the guy is still alive and has even participated in 2 senior marathons and written novels and articles about his life in prison.
@jamesleeland1 meh i think this video was just propaganda to make angola look like a good prison, i read behind the scenes and in reality it is still a slave labour prison. for example, in the prison, prisoners must keep the golf course, pools and other "fun" activities in order, but they themselves can't use it, it is for the staff to keep themselves entertained if they are stuck spending a weekend at the prison.
@MrJohanasBilderberg so in other words you pretty much agreed with me that the video was a propaganda video, so what are you exactly arguing to me at this point about?
@MrJohanasBilderberg ha, i'm not a communist, i am quite the opposite, i am probably more anti-communist than capitalists. i believe in lower taxes to expand businesses, but i also believe in a militarist type of society, and think political correctness should be eliminated since we all know how much corruption that has cost in the last 50 years, i believe in saving money up for long term needs rather than short term, i don't believe in global warming, abortions or animal cruelty or cloning.
@MrJohanasBilderberg point is, there is a limit on how "tough" the system can be. many americans keep wanting tough on crime laws because they think countries are laughing at them for being too soft in fact they're laughing because most countries agree they are being too tough. in canada marijuana for example means a 420 dollar fine, it is only jailable by up to 2 years if you sell marijuana while in new york, arizona, nevada and louisiana being caught with it means 25 years to life.
@MrJohanasBilderberg several american states recently started paroling people for marijuana, petty theft and other offenders serving life within a year because stephen harper was one of the last countries giving americans resources for the recession but even he got fed up of the idea that all the canadian money was just for american prisons, so now the americans realised they can't afford to lock people up for life for every little thing that happens.
@MrJohanasBilderberg until the 70's most american states would parole offenders after 7-15 years and the crime rates were not any higher than they are now. it proves harsher sentences has no deterrent, and there are some murderers like allen mcduffy who murder when coming out of prison, but those cases are talked about because they are exceptional. most homicides are not premeditated and are usually crimes of passion, any human in fact will murder if the person gets agitated enough.
IT'S RIDICULOUS HOW BRAINWASHED THOSE INMATES ARE. I THINK THEY WERE HAND PICKED TO TALK UP THE CORRUPT PRISON SYSTEM THEY HAVE. THAT IS NOTHING BUT LEGAL SLAVERY THEY HAVE DOWN THERE. LOUISIANA IS A POOR STATE AND THEY LOCK N****GS UP FOR LIFE TO WORK THOSE FIELDS.
sick!!!!!!!!!! i did 3yrs in prison all over louisiana! i stayed on lockdown because i was unruly fuck this system! they need 2 riot all over in these prisons in america! animals dont deserve to be chained up so how can one justify locking up a man!
that is a beautiful thing. That God would move his Spirit even through the worst of society and change lives and bring more brothers into the Kingdom. Praise God! Praise God!
No church/state separation huh? So if you fall into the religious gig then you get to ride horses and pick up other hobbies? I'm not anti-religious but I just wonder if you can work in the radio station if you are on great behavior but you don't go to the prison church on Sunday... Somethin' just doesn't seem right. I bet if you're not an ass kisser you get 1 hour of yard a day, instead of a field trip to the rodeo.
I gotta hand it to you, as an agnostic, if I were sentenced to life in this brainwashed "God Pod"....I'd literally petition the court to give me the needle. PLEASE! I don't know which is worst, a prison where stabbings, rapes, and killings happen on a daily basis, or a prison where everyone is brainwashed into thinking, speaking, breathing the Scriptures!
or preach and talk that you understand what your talking about.Tell them it's bull and all those Jesus lovers will rape and kill you in a heart beat...the place isn'd better because of jesus, but because of privileges. Some live better then they would on the outside, whining how hard it all is.They'd cry more if they'd have to pay bills and respect a boss in the "free world" (and for some that's why they're there.)
@kzam717 they're there because in louisiana there is no parole. if you rob, murder, rape, do drug trafficking either you are going to be in prison the rest of your life or be very frail when you get out. and the few that come out are granted either by the governor or in some counties the president, and pretty much is always after 50-60 years have gone by and you are deaf, half blind, nearly paralysed from age and have terminal illness. or in commonwealth terms known as "compassionate release."
So sad..why wouldn't you want to get close to God..he's the best thing there is..Try him and see..Repent ask for forgiveness for turning people away from him, you'll pay.. The God I know is a Great God.there's none like him..
Psychologically, these people are empty vessels. They need something to believe in, they need hope, or as the guy said in the begining, a "sense of purpose."
If it is so great and grand then why do the inmates work under the gun? It is a maximum security prison, not all inmates are going to accept relegion or allow somebody to impose their values upon them.
If you are labelled a "terrorist" in the u.s.a. for whatever reason the authority deems and defines as "terrorist," then sadly, you may one day be imprisoned.
If you live outside the US, the same abuse within the world government is also a threat to your soul, freedom, life and family.
the older guy who had a life sentance was actually released then and is living for god in new york! :D

Hmmm. That sounds like the politicos in charge and the media outlets (news TV print). 9/11 is the enemy within these borders.

thats why they say 10 percent will maintain spirituality after prison true that some do use it as a coping mechanism but 10 percent will retain
maplelaffs 2 years ago
Whether someone believes in "heaven" is irrelevant.
Folks don't believe that they are in a "prison" when they are walking-free.
(but many are enslaved to sin & that is a terrible prison which destroys one's soul)
GOTTshua 3 years ago
The proof is in the pudding.
There are many who profess Christ who are hypocrites. Jesus condemns these liars.
They are wolves in sheep clothing.
Beware of the liars. Rejoice in the truth.

i know alot of bad people who hide behind religion it makes me ill
maplelaffs 2 years ago
I know a lot of so-called "christians" who hide behind being called a "christian" as well as those who hide behind religion.
I choose to stay away from them & inform them of their erroneous nature.
It is ILL. It is a sickness, an excuse, a LIE. And all unrepentant liars belong to the devil.
Jesus hated religion. Religion is defined as the "traditions of men" that have nothing to do with YHWH's kiingdom on earth.
