the best ending to a movie that I've ever seen. From what I gathered, this river is the Blackfoot in Montana, before it flows into the Clark Fork near Missoula. A couple of years back, I had to go. So I fished the Blackfoot and pulled in a couple of nice cutthroats. It completed the circle for me.
is that the luttle blackfoot? i know they say big blackfoot but it looks smaller than i thought, ive never been to montana, id love to but its just a dream i hope to live
I used to fish with my dad and brother my only sibling. Now they have passed on and I fish where we fished alone. I know all too well the ending scene. Such sweet pain watching this.
If you don't believe in god, then visit Montana. It's about as close to heaven as you'll get! And if you can't go to Montana, then watch this wonderful movie.
You will feel the meaning deep in your heart and bones and it will be what makes sense to you, about love and loss, mortality and existence. here is no o
Everyone should see this movie, and hear this poem. We are all connected, all together in the journey, this beautiful experience of life. On this day, Sept 10, 2011, almost 10 years after the great loss. We should all remember, some of the words are theirs.
For me I found that every time I watch this movie I can't help walking away after this scene thinking oh wow, that was so deep. Makes you kind of think of your own little happy place.
@Ebolorama10 It took me five long years of reading this book and watching the movie to figure it out. I do not miss a moment of the journey that was required of me to understand.
It would be best not to tell you the meaning. It would be best if you continued your own journey to understand.
"I am haunted by waters." I am haunted by that line. Great ending line for a brilliant film.

yes indeed. I remember my brother and our childhood days.

This sounds nothing at all like the original ending, and I don't believe that is the voice of Robert Redford
TheDickFontaine 4 months ago
@TheDickFontaine You're right, this is not Redford's voice. The nuances of the real Redford voice makes a huge difference.

@rupeesherpa this is most definitely Robert Redford's voice
