I know how you feel, my horse Ben died of a hurt foot and went lame. One day a friend went to check on him and he was dead, he died by himself and with my other horse. He was only 16 and lived a short life. It make you think everyday about how precious life is.
jeez girl. my heart has a crack for tia. I know.. and it's painfull because it's so hard to rationalize, because it can't be rationalized.... some souls come to this world to love, and be loved. and thats all. Good for you to keep her the two years you gave to her. Most wouldn't do this. Thank you for sharing her story with us all

My old horse Kaos. Ah man, he lived to be 28, he would always let me come and cuddle him in the feild. and let me take him on walks. He was so spunky I love him with all of my heart.One day he got very sick and didnt pull out of it :'( So the vet came, sadly some vets dont pay attention in scool, and he went right to the shot that eventually stopped heart...Kaos died with his head on my lap, after convolting and fighting to breathe. I will never forgive that man. I hope he loses his job.

@theonlyzdog they are people who kill horses and use them for dog meat at the hunt ( grrrrr ) but he had to be put down .. he had a brain tumor and was getting dangerous :( x

There was a horse at a barn i was at with alomst the same thing.He disease ate and killed his muscles.He is still aliveto this day thou.His owned had done everything for him.I still remember when he first got this disease and layed down.Everyone had to help get him up.One vet said to let him live in a pasture and that has been helping alot because he walks around all the time.Im so sorry for your lost.I wish there was something to do for the disease your horse had.

She was so beautiful and worth missing x my girl maggie had a foal who suffocated just after being born x i know that you have it worse because i didn't yet know little darcy but i hated the understand ing that maggie could not quite grasp... she knew she had lost her baby but still she searched in hope...

She was BEAUTIFUL!!!! but when she galloped across the feild i started to Bawl! She reminds me so much of my horse and when her time comes when she dies she will take a peice of me with her. I dont know how im going to live without her.... She has saved my life and i dont mean metaphoricly either. i was seriously depressed and when i got her she was to so we healed each other heck we are still healing but the scars will always show

I know what you're going through. My hamster daisy had to be put down. She was pregnant when we got her but never gave birth. Many months later she had an infection in her uterus. She fought and fought and one day I picked her up and she gave me a look. that day I knew it was her time and we put her down, she went so peacefully, She may have been small but she had the personality as big as a horse.

my daughter borowed the laptop when i was using it and she saw this and said ' aww, poor horse. oh no, whats that song NOOOO'. she said it becuz my nephew all ways does EXTREMLY wied dances and action of him trying to fix his phone! he was in the room.

She was so beautiful and worth missing x my girl maggie had a foal who suffocated just after being born x i know that you have it worse because i didn't yet know little darcy but i hated the understand ing that maggie could not quite grasp... she knew she had lost her baby but still she searched in hope...
though don't worry our loves are buried now where a;l treasure goes in the end xxx

WOW i have had 4 horse since 2007 i now relised if they had to be put down i dont know what i would do with myself or what to do. I was a great story about a strong determind horse which tried her best at all times. R.I.P Tia you bring a touch in our hearts xxxxxx well done you a amazing rider and sorry about Tia xxx

She was BEAUTIFUL!!!! but when she galloped across the feild i started to Bawl! She reminds me so much of my horse and when her time comes when she dies she will take a peice of me with her. I dont know how im going to live without her.... She has saved my life and i dont mean metaphoricly either. i was seriously depressed and when i got her she was to so we healed each other heck we are still healing but the scars will always show

omg i saw the first picture and i just didnt wanted to watch it anymore bcuz my horse looks almost the same like urs,,, but i watched it and it made me cry so bad >< my horse is already 28,,, and so i know there might me a chance that she wont live long anymore... but u did a great job by taking care of your horse and giving it so much love...

RIP chica! i got honest chills from that. Im so sorry! Its hard to loose your best friend...well more like sister honestly. in 08 i put down my very first owned pony(had her for 14 years) in 09 put down my soul mate, and august 2010 put down my show gelding of 9 years!
it seems like i go through this every year =/ Im sure shes enjoying her time in heaven running like a maniac =)

i dont properly own them though cuz domingo is a rescued horse i would just have a breakdown if one of them died!!

I know what you're going through. My hamster daisy had to be put down. She was pregnant when we got her but never gave birth. Many months later she had an infection in her uterus. She fought and fought and one day I picked her up and she gave me a look. that day I knew it was her time and we put her down, she went so peacefully, She may have been small but she had the personality as big as a horse.
