  • Isn't that the thing from Resident Evil 3?

  • Would have been cooler if it was raw.

  • @EnvelopedInDarkness it was raw...

  • @bonerboy37 using wrist straps isnt raw.

  • @EnvelopedInDarkness Wow you are a fuckin jackass. Seriously.

  • @hedanhercules yeah ok.

  • @JimmyD0YLE does it matter?

  • I saw Glen do 650 raw for a triple at our old gym.

    awesome power,good guy!

  • Anyone have Glen's routine?

  • Has anyone ever benches 650 plus raw with an actual pause?

  • @soybean70 james henderson probly has

  • @soybean70 several people have scot mendelson did it with 715

  • @rctman1 Watch the mendelson video. He didn't pause at all.

  • @rctman1 it was a slight pause... there doesnt really need to be the bar just cant bounce and has to be under control so ill give him 715

  • holy shit impressive lift! perfect form and didnt even drive with your legs!

  • that was the rawest bench

  • Damn, that's depressing. I've been lifting for decades and can barely manage half that weight. Still, I'm not quitting...

  • @Dayga Crazy, isn't it? I feel ya. I would kill for a 400 raw bench.

  • What was Glen's weight when he pressed 675lbs? Can anyone tell?

  • @sinfuldavy0 in the recors book from michael soong glen officially did 665 lbs at 308 in 2002 4th best raw bench ever

  • Heres my Pot , he's a low down dirty crack smoking drunk !!!! I wouldn't be surprized after Belle left him becaue he's Gay!! Now call me the pot calling the kettle black, Bitch!!!

  • Damn roids.....

  • WOW, just WOW. 675 with his back flat and no bounce.

  • Impressive!

  • I never went to Big Daddy's Gym in Springfield, MA bc I was not even 15 when it closed but damn it all...from talkin with the old guys who used to go there... that gym died when this man tore his pec. RIP the amazing career of Glen Chabot.

  • FAKE!!!

  • Omg Chuck Norris has a cousin

  • is this real ? almost 700 without bounce seems unreal to me oO

  • Loved the WHOS THE MAN bit at the end.

  • and the prius touched the sky

  • Most legit 675 press on youtube! Only one spotter, wow!

  • fake an GAY

  • @smallvillevisitor Says the 150 pound nerd living in his moms basement

  • i did that last week, yeah yeah, and I did it for four reps, yeah thats the ticket. then I went over to the squat rack and did squats with.... with...... 2000 pounds, yeah yeah thats the ticket.

  • you could have gone for 700lbs

  • no back arch? wtf this guy will probably beat 715 raw record

  • oh my shit

  • Awesome that was awesome, and he did so easy.

  • Je suis toujours impressionné quand je vois cette vidéo. De la vraie putain de force. Pas de maillot ridicule qui rend le mouvement laid.

  • damn! he did that with almost no leg drive(his left foot was in the air). this is completely amazing!!!!

  • that was retardedly easy

  • I can't wait till Jeremy Hoornstra cracks the new world record...

  • @RJORRIS Jeremy willl NEVER beat Scott's record.

  • @UrizenTheNegator , What makes you think he won't!? Jeremy said he already hit 715 Raw in the gym for a touch n go, all he has to do is hit it in competition now. AND hes still only in his 20's, his best days are still ahead of him.

  • @RJORRIS Well Scott claimed he hit 800 RAW in the gym, so that doesn't mean much. I doubt anyone will break Scott's record in the near future.

  • @RJORRIS Well Scott claimed he hit 800 RAW in the gym, so that doesn't mean much. I doubt anyone will break Scott's record in the near future.

  • @UrizenTheNegator Near future? I promise you Scott's record will fall in five years or less...Hope that's not too near!!!

  • @TauruVikingur Yea, by 4 or 4 pounds and by someone with a huge belly or some other way to reduce the range of motion. I don't see any powerlifter of today beating his record.

  • @UrizenTheNegator five years or less!!!

  • I actually don't really think 715 raw will be broken in 5 years. Nick Winters and Jeremy Hoornstra looked like they were approaching it, but that's the thing, various guys have gotten into the 600s and some have even gone to 650+, but as they've all gotten closer to 700 their progress stalled out or the became injured. This happened to the guy in this video, and it has happened a LOT in the past 3 years with Winters and Hoornstra as well. I haven't even heard of either competing in 2 years.

  • @Ludichris8531 so did glen and henderson retire

  • Yeah both are retired for competing for just about a decade now give or take for each one.

  • @Ludichris8531 thats gay/ best benchers ever.

  • @RJORRIS 1 year and still waiting lol. Hoornstra talks so much but never does anything.

  • Stupid strong man... 5 stars

  • "Grandpa Glen did you ever used to workout?"

    "Yes Billy"

    "How much could you benchpress?"

"Ohhh i dont know. 675 roughly."

  • Holy crap! He's back is flat and looks like he's feet are barely touching the floor.

  • its not real

  • sniffing too much glue son. very real. dont ever post on another lifting video again. now go to your corner now and think about what you just said

  • that is one of the most impressive benches ive ever seen. if he worked on his form to more of a powerlifter type form i cant even imagine the amount of records he'd break. look at his left leg while he's lifting, he picks it right up yet still controls the weight like its nothing. huge props

  • I trained with glen and can tell you not only could he bench huge the mans physique was unbelievable ripped muscle viens like a road map after the 670 he ripped his shirt off i have it on video one of the most impressive shots of any powerlifter i have ever seen and Ive seen alot, around a long time, the only words that came to mind--- HOLY SHIT!!!..

  • you really should post this video bro ...its getting boring to see powerlifter with bench shirt maybe your video will change their mind !!

    léo

  • Where is Glen Chabot today? I've heard he's lost alot of size and strength..

  • wow that was a good lift

  • thats nuts!

  • holy crap balls!!!

  • now thats how it shud be dun

  • damn man good lift ur only 30lbs from the raw bench record try and break that shit

  • no hes 40 lbs from the raw bench record, the record is 715 by scott mendelson

  • Incredible. I WISH I could shurg that much. LOL.

  • Once again great rep and not like the cheating fat bastards on here who do 2 inch reps with 20 guys helping!!!

  • That lift was without the aid of shirt so no cheating. Good range of motion, great rep!!! Top bencher!

  • this is watz up i listen to Marilyn manson antichrist superstar while liftin weights its a great influence good vid

  • haha, somehow, through watching a ton of mediocre lifting videos, I always come to great videos like this. Great job glen, you fucking rock!

  • wow...

  • I wonder if hes drug free or not, none the less and with or without drugs, its very impressive.

  • When he hit 665 raw it was drug tested. Whether or not he was drug free is a question that will never be conclusively be answered, but we have to give him credit, he was drug tested and that's as close as one can come to being able to claim they're drug free. If he DIDN'T test clean then he definitely couldn't claim he was drug free, but he tested clean at that point so that's about as good as anyone can do.

  • jesusu fucking christ

ur probably one of the strongest benchers in the world

  • insane he had 700 raw in him!

  • can you believe how this guy is strong ! rite now im doing half press with 585 and lock out with 600 lbs both raw and they both feel like a ton ....this guy is doing 675 with perfect speed two words holly pain !

  • I highly doubt you can half-bench 585.

  • no problem sir its normal to have doubt sometime ! have a good day !

  • and what the hell do you even mean by a "half press"?

  • Two words: Holy shit!

  • P.S. I watched this Chabot character intimidate a MUCH smaller (and meeker) person backstage at the Arnold. He threatened violence and repeatedly asked the dude to go outside with him. Apparently, the guy wrote something Glen didn't like. So what. Talk about a hot-head. His target was a good 100 pounds lighter and, like I say, not of the same "aggression". I was like, Hey, guys, let's chill a little, OK? No need to start something ugly.

    Chabot eventually walked away.

  • Damn, thats not cool.

  • Let me say this very few have any idea what its like to be an elite of the elite weightlifters to train with such heart and soul, determination that nothing and I mean Nothing can get in my way! its called positive affirmation canot have any negs none to do what most consider impossible.I understand that and most of the players do its the fans that get confussed!

and he did just Walk Away...

  • I don't understand your point, as it relates to my story, dude. Certainly I do know of the dedication and effort to become a superior athlete. I have been training as a bodybuilder and powerlifter for over 20 years.

  • It's hilarious how rude people are to one another on the Web. Few would dare be so impolite to another face-to-face. Not because of a fear of physical confrontation, but because, well, it's plain bad manners. Somehow the Web has made folks forget how to debate politely, and without name-calling. Pathetic.

  • @TheTrueFortress Exactly what I was thinking. Everyone's rude on Youtube and so am I. It's just the way it works, you don't give a fuck about another users.

  • @TheTrueFortress You speak wisely, my friend.

  • @TheTrueFortress ehh highschool people do it all the time

  • @TheTrueFortress "Pathetic"? Pot calling the kettle black much, kiddo?

  • @pedanticmofo

Don't know what you're on about, dude. But have a nice day.

  • @TheTrueFortress mr. high and mighty over here

  • @ksnab

Uh, congratulations on being high and mighty. Yeah ...

  • @TheTrueFortress Unfortunately it only goes to show what the true intentions of people are. All it takes is anonymity and an audience to bring it out.

  • italianwarrior this is definately real, chabot was a legit monster bencher.

  • amazing lift!(assuming it is real)

  • I just want to say that he's remarkable in bed. LOL! Im glad his old ass is still here and lifting

  • he inhuman (a monster)

  • he made that his bitch!

  • i have alot of respect for this guy because he used no bench shirt or anything thats how you know he has pure power

  • I completely agree! Glenn is amazing! this is pure power! with shirt he can bench 1100lbs!!!

for example becca swanson last perf is 600lbs with shirt and the rest that goes with it... now imagine her benching raw...

  • Glen stopped benching years before anyone came close to 1000 pounds on bench. benching a touch and go 675 doesn't mean you can bench 1100 with a shirt on. Hell Scot Mendelson benched 715 like it was nothing and he's benched 1008.6 and 992 shirted at his best. Shirted training is completely different. You don't just throw one on and bench a few hundred pounds more. Kennelly did triples with 675 RAW in training and he hasn't been able to hit 1100 with a shirt on yet.

  • Scott Mendelson almost did 1015 shirted!!! isn't that enough to proove that there's a big difference between raw and shirted!! what do you try to explain to me? man the real power and strenght is raw! about swanson example she couldn't lift 405lbs raw (hormons and drugs free)with a normal grip!! that's all.

  • No that's not what I was saying at all man. Of course you can get a lot of weight out of a shirt. But that's only when you train in a shirt. Nick Winters, for example, hit 715x2 in training two years ago but he sucks in a shirt. Shirt benching places entirely different resistance on the muscles. Towards the bottom of the movement the shirt supports a ton of the weight and that's why people have problems even just getting the bar to touch. As the bar moves up, you support more of the weight.

  • Nick Winters hit the raw world record for 2 reps in the bench? riiiiight

  • he hit it in training retard. riiiiight. lol the problem is your disconnect with the world of raw benching. Shit, Jeremy hoornstra even hit 675 and then 700 at points in his training and he's MUCH smaller than any of the above lifters. Get with the program jackass and keep up.

  • Basically what this means is that shirted benching is mostly a test of who has mastered the use of a shirt and who can lockout the heaviest weight. I'm not sure why you keep bringing up becca swanson either. Compare her to other women, not men. The point is, RAW benching doesn't mean you can bench a lot in a shirt because you'd never be able to lockout immense weights. If you train to bench 600 RAW then chances are that you've never done lockouts with 900. They're two different lifts.

  • Thank you very much for those precious informations!( i already knew) But i'm sure we both analyse the facts from the same point of view!About sawnson: she says "she smiles" when people tell her she's stronger than "most men that powerlift" she should come, shirtless and i insist hormons and roids free, to few gyms i know and "powerlift" with us ( we average men). You see dear Ludichris we don't have the same vision of pure, natural and total strenght...

  • How don't we? Is English not your native language? I believe RAW IS pure strength. No one in powerlifting ever compares Becca to male powerlifters though. she's miles ahead of other women but she's not stronger or even close to as strong as male powerlifters. It's not like there's some debate over who's stronger becca or men. she lifts much lower numbers men do.

  • Thanks for your comment! and thanks for your reflexion! No dear friend, english is not my native language, but as you can notice i can express my opinions in it! i'm french:! ok? maybe you can say "hello" in french...:!???? but if you have a problem of understanding with my english( although i think i've been very clear) we can follow that chat in french, portuguese or spanish, you choose!

  • you mean reflection? Yo hablo espanol tambien porque mi abuelita es de Cuba. Eu trabalio com moito persoas de Brasil tamben. No parle Francais.

  • oops, I meant to write Eu trabalho com muitas pessoas de brasil também. Eu no screve Portugues muito.

  • Ah:! que bom! entao vamos poder falar portugues amigo! sou filho de portugueses de nacionalidade françesa e conheço bem o Brasil!

I'm pleased you agree with for the most part, it reminds me that i'm still a bit lucid:!

  • I understand your english, but I think you couldn't tell that, for the most part, I was agreeing with you. But no one compares becca to elite male powerlifters because she's not nearly on their level. She's very strong for a woman but she's a huge drug user and that's no secret.

  • And Kennely did 675lbs Raw for 3 reps?....riiiiight.

  • Uh, have you seen Kennelly warm up with 600, 610, and 635? It's all very easy for him. Hell, you can even look up the video of him explosively throwing up 725 raw to three boards on youtube if you see the video for his latest bench meet a couple of months ago. Again, you're pretty unaware of the lifting a ability of a lot of strong raw benchers.

  • Uh, bullshit I am. the raw record is held by mendy...the most Winters has done in a meet is 675x1...he said in an interview he did 715x1 and almost locked out the second...too bad there's no vid but don't worry this would translate to at least 60 lbs above 715lbs...gee, he still hasn't broken the record yet though has he...Kennelys 675x3 (too bad also no vid) would also translate higher than mendy's 715 but he still hasn't broken it either has he?

  • Uh, guess what, the most winters has done in a RAW meet is 650. Get your shit together. If you kept up with winters you'd know he had a biceps injury that prevented him from benching heavy until recently. He smoked 650 in a recent unsanctioned meet. You need to learn that there's a profound difference in meet lifts as opposed to gym lifts. When you figure that out, you'll understand what I'm talking about.

  • You're right JACKASS he just missed the 675lbs at the NERB. I still think he's BS'ng about hitting the world record for 2 reps in the gym...but we'll see what he does this year, he should be good for at least 760lbs with his claim. Mendy should be good for at least 780lbs with his claim and Kenely should be right up there with them with his claim too. I'll also make you a bet the only guy hitting over 700lbs this year in competition is Hoornstra.

  • Hoornstra himself even said he was going for 675 this year, breaking the record will come later. Oh and genius, hoornstra, while he is probably the greatest raw bencher alive, has only hit 615 in a sanctioned competition thus far so don't count on him making a 100 pound jump like that. Oh and "just missing" 675 isn't lifting it you idiot. By that reasoning, Mendelson has hit 1052 and 1015 in many meets now. A miss isn't a lift.

  • hes done 675 in a meet its on youtube you fuckni tart

  • Oh, and if you think i'm just a mendelson fan, he's also made a bullshit claim of 800lbs raw in the gym...also with no vid.

  • Uh, I already wrote a response to this but it didn't show up for some reason. Shawna Mendelson was the one who claimed that Mendy could triple 800 in the gym raw but she was mistaken and meant 700. Oh, and for the record, Scot told me personally that he benched 780 raw in training in may of 2007. He answered a query I posted on his "ask scot forum" and he was not boasting with wild claims, just answering a fan's question about what he can do touch and go in the gym. He's a nice guy too.

  • That's fine, I just think they're all exaggerating a bit. We'll see what they hit this year in comp

  • Assuming that they actually compete. Hoornstra and winters haven't competed in sanctioned competition for the better part of two years now. Mendy also told me online and then later on the phone that he doesn't plan to compete raw any time in the near future. As you approach 700 the progress becomes very slow even if you've hit big numbers in the gym. Glen Chabot for example, looked like he was the next 700 pound bencher until he had to stop competing because of injuries.

  • holy cow! when did he hit that?

  • im not sure exactly when but i think it was around 2002. im not sure if he stills lifts. he should though, he was a true freak!
