I feel bad for those who have no spirit to believe what people have seen and have been witnesses to regarding the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Egypt. If you can't believe that, then at least do not mock. And if you think that Christians will be disappointed when they die and find out that their believe was in vein, well let me tell you I'd hate to see how disappointed you will be when you die and find out that Christians' belief was correct.
Having said that, all you have to do is pray with your heart and ask God to lighten your way and He will answer you, and if He doesn't than you have every right to continue disbelieving until God answers you, you just have to ask with sincerity. And by the way I am one of those eye witnesses who have seen the apparitions of the Virgin Mary back in 1968.

@theninogirl I'll try to give a proper answer to your question. According to Christianity, there is a dialogue between God and the human kind. If man prays with real faith God, He can manifest himself through His Presence, and often also through apparitions and miracles. Similarly for the Saints. Ortodoxs and Catholics especially pray to Saints to help them, to comfort them. The idea here is still the same. If you ask something with faith (and something just, of course) God will grant it to you.
Saints are people who in life were closer to God than normal people, because they had more faith. We believe that their souls can hear us, and when we have a special relationship with them (like friends), we ask them to pray for us, cos we know God will grant them their wish. The Virgin Mary according to our tradition, has more faith than any other human being, because she is the mother of Christ (that is, of God).

Also, in our tradition, Christ before dieing asked John, a manto take care of her as a mother, and to her to take care of John as if he was her son.We believe that He asked her to take care of humanity,and we would have to care of her as our mother.This gives an even more compelling motive to her apparition. In places where the Christian presence is troubled, to people who suffer but with a lot of faith, Christ, or Saints, or the Virgin, can appear to show they are close to humanity.

I am sorry, but I did read some of the Quran and I found it extremely contraddictoryin more than one issue. Also, i found that in a verse it interpreted the trinity as Father+Mary+Son. This is incorrect, and I cannot see how God, who is omniscent may have made a mistake of interpretation of our belief. I believe that who composed the Q'uran had a distorted view of Christianity, because in the region where Muhammad operated there were eretical septs.
Also, whoever wrote the Q'uran had no clue of the teology behind Christianity. As I told you we believe Christ to be the Word, the Verb of God. The Q'uran makes a profound misinterpretation because it interprets the relationship Father-Son in a very different way from the one we have. Finally, I cannot believe that God would treat some men better than others. Islam says that Muhammad can marry more wives than other men, meaning that he grants him rights that He doesn't grant normally to humans.
Similarly, Islam claims that Christ was saved because he was innocent. Do you know how many innocent people are massacred everyday since beginning of history? Why would God save only one? In my religion, god treats everyone in the same way. In fact,Christ says that anyone who has faith in God can ask him anything.A God who saved one only would be unfair, in my opinion. Regarding the Bible, I am sorry you didn't like it, all I can say is that we need to distinguish btw the Old and the New Testament. The Old testament is contraddictory, but to mean it means tht human being could not understand God's will through prophets. In the New Testament, which talks about Christ's life, I found no contraddiction, but a message of love that is not present in the Q'uran.Finally, I believe that miracles and the Virgin apprerences agive us evidence.

So, first of all sorry i didn't see you question about whether God could have a mother. I'll try to answer them both.The trinity is complex, human mind cannot comprehend. First, the relationship Father-Son in god has nothing to do with that in humans, where a father exists, at a certain point he generates a son, cos at this point you would actually have 2 gods.Instead we believe the Son to be within God, that is, you have just one being,God,and in some way the son is in God,he is one with God.
So the question arises: what is the Son and how can He be in God? He is the logos of God, meaning His Mind, Word. We know that God thinks, talks, but in him this logos is perfect, absolute,it is itself God. And the logos is one with God right, you cannot say that it separate. The logos is God, Christ is the logos. Similarly, Gods love is God. It is one with God. That is the Holy Spirit. God, loves so much, that he loves his own logos, hence there is a relationship of love going on within God.
God comes on earth, and teaches us His Message Himself, through His Example.
But how can God, who is infinite, incarnate in a man?First of all,we believe in Gods omnipotence, so we know that nothing is impossible to Him if He wants it.We say that He incarnates His Logos,to say that He sends us His Word,his teachings not through a hook,but incarnating it in a man.Since the Logos is God and the logos is Christ,Christ is God.Christ,has human nature,as He is a man,and divine nature,as He is God.
Christ talks about the Father, the Son(Himself) and says that the Father is one with the Son. So we call Father, God who is in heaven, and Son, His incarnation, Christ.
About your question about why God allowed Christ to be crucified: First, Christ is God, so we believe that he could have defended himself by himself. The question is rather, why doesnt he do it? For coherence and love for us. He could avoid of being cruficied in 2 ways: 1. Through violence. 2. By escaping.
He didnt use violence because he thought us to forgive those who hurt us and dont harm them, so Ho would not do that himself.Would He escape? Well, He came to reveal Himself, by giving us the example of how a man should live, and only used his powers to reveal his divinity. Hence, he dies as a man. He asked us to accept death and sufferance for Him, he would not escape himself.

I feel bad for those who have no spirit to believe what people have seen and have been witnesses to regarding the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Egypt. If you can't believe that, then at least do not mock. And if you think that Christians will be disappointed when they die and find out that their believe was in vein, well let me tell you I'd hate to see how disappointed you will be when you die and find out that Christians' belief was correct.

Having said that, all you have to do is pray with your heart and ask God to lighten your way and He will answer you, and if He doesn't than you have every right to continue disbelieving until God answers you, you just have to ask with sincerity. And by the way I am one of those eye witnesses who have seen the apparitions of the Virgin Mary back in 1968.

@theninogirl I'll try to give a proper answer to your question. According to Christianity, there is a dialogue between God and the human kind. If man prays with real faith God, He can manifest himself through His Presence, and often also through apparitions and miracles. Similarly for the Saints. Ortodoxs and Catholics especially pray to Saints to help them, to comfort them. The idea here is still the same. If you ask something with faith (and something just, of course) God will grant it to you.

Saints are people who in life were closer to God than normal people, because they had more faith. We believe that their souls can hear us, and when we have a special relationship with them (like friends), we ask them to pray for us, cos we know God will grant them their wish. The Virgin Mary according to our tradition, has more faith than any other human being, because she is the mother of Christ (that is, of God).

Also, in our tradition, Christ before dieing asked John, a manto take care of her as a mother, and to her to take care of John as if he was her son.We believe that He asked her to take care of humanity,and we would have to care of her as our mother.This gives an even more compelling motive to her apparition. In places where the Christian presence is troubled, to people who suffer but with a lot of faith, Christ, or Saints, or the Virgin, can appear to show they are close to humanity.

We are not a politeist religion, and we do not worship Mary.Also,look at the evidence:if u live in Egypt and Mary still appears go see her.Once I doubted and I asked God to reveal Himself to me for what He is try do the same.I didn't find Islam to be true,but if you think it is,your muslim faith will be stronger at the end.

I am sorry, but I did read some of the Quran and I found it extremely contraddictoryin more than one issue. Also, i found that in a verse it interpreted the trinity as Father+Mary+Son. This is incorrect, and I cannot see how God, who is omniscent may have made a mistake of interpretation of our belief. I believe that who composed the Q'uran had a distorted view of Christianity, because in the region where Muhammad operated there were eretical septs.

Also, whoever wrote the Q'uran had no clue of the teology behind Christianity. As I told you we believe Christ to be the Word, the Verb of God. The Q'uran makes a profound misinterpretation because it interprets the relationship Father-Son in a very different way from the one we have. Finally, I cannot believe that God would treat some men better than others. Islam says that Muhammad can marry more wives than other men, meaning that he grants him rights that He doesn't grant normally to humans.

Similarly, Islam claims that Christ was saved because he was innocent. Do you know how many innocent people are massacred everyday since beginning of history? Why would God save only one? In my religion, god treats everyone in the same way. In fact,Christ says that anyone who has faith in God can ask him anything.A God who saved one only would be unfair, in my opinion. Regarding the Bible, I am sorry you didn't like it, all I can say is that we need to distinguish btw the Old and the New Testament. The Old testament is contraddictory, but to mean it means tht human being could not understand God's will through prophets. In the New Testament, which talks about Christ's life, I found no contraddiction, but a message of love that is not present in the Q'uran.Finally, I believe that miracles and the Virgin apprerences agive us evidence.

So, first of all sorry i didn't see you question about whether God could have a mother. I'll try to answer them both.The trinity is complex, human mind cannot comprehend. First, the relationship Father-Son in god has nothing to do with that in humans, where a father exists, at a certain point he generates a son, cos at this point you would actually have 2 gods.Instead we believe the Son to be within God, that is, you have just one being,God,and in some way the son is in God,he is one with God.

So the question arises: what is the Son and how can He be in God? He is the logos of God, meaning His Mind, Word. We know that God thinks, talks, but in him this logos is perfect, absolute,it is itself God. And the logos is one with God right, you cannot say that it separate. The logos is God, Christ is the logos. Similarly, Gods love is God. It is one with God. That is the Holy Spirit. God, loves so much, that he loves his own logos, hence there is a relationship of love going on within God.

Christ talks about the Father, the Son(Himself) and says that the Father is one with the Son. So we call Father, God who is in heaven, and Son, His incarnation, Christ.
About your question about why God allowed Christ to be crucified: First, Christ is God, so we believe that he could have defended himself by himself. The question is rather, why doesnt he do it? For coherence and love for us. He could avoid of being cruficied in 2 ways: 1. Through violence. 2. By escaping.

He didnt use violence because he thought us to forgive those who hurt us and dont harm them, so Ho would not do that himself.Would He escape? Well, He came to reveal Himself, by giving us the example of how a man should live, and only used his powers to reveal his divinity. Hence, he dies as a man. He asked us to accept death and sufferance for Him, he would not escape himself.

Finally, this was a way to show us all that he sets us free, even if when we wanted to torture and kill him. He loves us so much that he didnt react. He told us that divine justice will come after this life, and he waited for it as he asks us to do. For Christianity, God doesn't reveal himself merely through words, but through exampl: even if it means he is going to suffer for it.

Mary,is not the mother of God in the sense you think:God is infinite and,as you said,has no mother,or relatives.But,by incarnating,Christ, has a mum.We call her the mum of God cos Christ at the ed of the day is God incarnated.How could God incarnate without borning from a woman? Had he just come to earth in human form he would be God in human form.But he wanted to have a more real link with us, he wanted to be the "Son of Man" as well.
