@iCalintz lol thats why air america is still around right? because liberals are so engaging and provocative? oh wait...air america failed miserably...precisely because nobody had the patience to listen to liberal twats and their b.s.
Damn, libs are stupid. You are listening to at least two reasons that this goat rope didn't last. I made myself listen to this. I believe an undeadened root-canal would've been easier. Their voices are even weenie-annoying.
Air America failed because greedy frauds like Randi Rhodes demanded $1 million a year. & a car & driver in her contract. Watch the documentary "Left of the Dial" all Rhodes did was whine she wasn't getting enough attention. She spent over $100,00 on plastic surgery. Lied for years told her audience she served 6 years in the Air Force. Truth is- she went AWOL after 1 year.
Air America failed because of their own incompetence! They could not bring the intellectual firepower of the right (Limbaugh, Savage, Hannity, Beck, Levin and others) and coddled up with to many radical leftists such as Michael Moore and Al Gore! Good Riddance!
Before he'd even done his first two years, Obama had already wound down troop plans for Iraq, and put through both the Healthcare bill and the Financial Reform bill. So what the heck are you still moaning and groaning about, Sammy boy?
What do you think McCain would have done by now? NOTHING!
Regardless of Seder's perspective of the mgmt at AAR, the end result was the Dem establishment got their fraud candidate in, w/ AAR's help and when they had outlasted their usefulness they were found in the closet swinging from their necks.
The pain in Seder's voice derives from being duped by the Obama phenomenon. I stopped listening to AAR when excuses and derelict rationalizations were being made for Soetorobama by AAR hosts. A luxury they never offered Bush. More party before country.
If Obama dares to legalize Illegals in this nation. Especially after the American people told Bush and Co how they felt about there "amnesty" plans. Obama and his democrats will be outta there as fast as you can say "Se habla espanol"!
It is always great to hear what happened behind the scenes.
From the very first time Danny Goldberg opened his mouth with the phrase "Hullo Libruls", I knew that this was a guy who did not know what he was doing, who he was addressing and what or where his audience was. He also communicated that he didn't have a 'librul' bone in his body.
Big fan of TSSS on AA & BRL too. Enjoyed this show, even though Sammy seems to be winging a bit. I'm sure he'd do a lot better once he got his groove back. Am hoping he gets the chance to prove it.
Sam! So good to see/hear you! My Pops, sis and I missed you! We still talk about you and check out your blog. I'm looking forward to seeing you on a regular basis in some form or another, whenever, whatever, I'll be there. Love you!
( I'm having trouble posting-hope this isn't twice)
My favorites on Air America were Mark Maron and Sam Seder. Maron's riffs were inspired and his characters hilarious. Sam is very very smart. And agree with other commenters that he needs a co-host.
it was great back in the day, because whenever he would draw on and get boring janeane would jump in. i love seder but he needs a cohost to be truly effective.
I miss Sam on the air. I have to agree that Air America's problem wasn't the content, at least most of the time. When they canceled Break Room Live, and then replaced a pretty good web site with a crappy one, they showed they just didn't get new media. some of them did, but not management unfortunately.
Yeah, I don't mind listening to others, but this guy is a bore. Sam Seder doesn't seem to have a handle on this thoughts and he's kinda all over the place, I can't follow him.

This guy blaming air america management for its failure is like Kevin Fedderline blaming his manager for his poor career. My son is taking a 10th grade public speaking class, after 10 min watching he couldn't believe how flawed the basic mechanics of his communication are. And thats with just a 10 th grade class. That coupled with this guys fingernails on a chalkboard scatterbrained personality make him an inappropriate choice as a frontman for any message important or not.

I just want to say that I like Sam Seder a lot despite his weaknesses as a presenter.
He can be very egotistical and sometimes unpolished. (He seems terrified to use the word ME.)
But I am still very much his fan. (Few people complained more about his replacement by L than I.)
I love Seder, just not uncritically.

I am a Seder fan, but I must say you are 100% right.
He's a bit rusty...it has been a while since he has done a show. Not that he was ever much better on average.
He does have his brilliant moments though, and is certainly much much better with a partner.
His style is an acquired taste.
Not his best show here.
