my cuz is a volunteer firefighter and one time we was chillin at the station and like lights and shit started going off and my cuzz had to go put out a huge house fire and i was stuck at the station for hours, atlest i had cigarettes
What a crappy job healing the ladder. Then he just looks at the guy that fell like WTF?....this would call for a good ass whooping back at my dept. Idiot.

It's not just the gear that made him so heavy that this hurt.
People don't fall off things often enough to remember how painful it is, and I suppose that thing on his back is made of metal, it smashed into his back and he landed on the ladder; extreme rolled ankles and instead of the fall dividing to his feet and his back, it mostly went to his back.
Then wht price would you put on your familys safety? Most dont earn even close that amount, myself included. I am a military firefighter and was a civilian volunteer for 3 years before that. Most of us do it because we have a desire to make a difference, not to get rich.

Yes, the firefighters belong to a very strong union in my state and I'm sure it's the same in other states. They can retire with full pension at the age of 55. They make extremely good money.
Firefighters are some of the best paid workers in my state. Every year they try to get more and more. They do a dangerous job but they are not worth $120,000 a year.
we were training one time at my station and the ladder almost slipped outa my hands and he was on his was up to the third floor, this is actually kinda scary, what if it was 20ft?
@RapIsDeadly And how much of an angle do you find appropriate? If you say straight up and down like a normal ladder, you are wrong! Ladders are angled that way so that in the event of a bailout, it isn't a straight drop to the ground. Plus I would love to see someone wearing full turnout gear and an SCBA climb straight up and not be winded and useless by the time they got to the fire. And what dept gets paid $120,000 a year and are they hiring? I don't even get half that...
No believe me firefighters can be that stupid. I live next to a town that has an almost completely volenteer fire department. Some of those guys are dumb as shit. When I was taking a class for EMT-B training I had to do some ride alongs and we were operating out of a firestation. Some of the stories those guys tell makes you wonder. Ladder mishaps like this one wouldnt suprise me.
and u just lost your job!
