@QCAssociates In 2003, because of violations and fines, Mr. Sandlin and the USDA made an agreement where 3 of the 4 tigers he owned, Toby, Khan and Rainbow, were sent to Tiger Haven in Kingston TN. The USDA reduced the fines and allowed Mr. Sandlin to keep one tiger, Tony.
This is really sad. Big Cat Rescue has a list of names and e mail addresses on their website to whom we can write about this showing our concern and to try to put a stop to this cruelty. I wrote to a couple of people. It would help to keep the e mails and letters pouring in.
This is so sad what the owner of Tony is doing to that poor tiger. He should let him be let out in the open and not exploit him. It breaks my heart. Hang in their Tony!!
Exotic animals, especially endangered ones, should be illegal to import from here on out. The only exception to the rule being those imported for controlled breeding and repopulation programs directed under the supervision of certified facilities which have the proper environments for them.
How can we help? What can be done? Aren't there animal endangerment laws in LA? Please keep us posted.....we want to help! This isn't anyway for an animal to live....held captive in a metal and concrete "cell"....he's not an inmate, he's done nothing wrong...he belongs on an earthen path with trees, birds, sky above.....a cool lake to swim in and drink from!!

Will Sandlin accept money to allow Tony to be released to Big Cat Rescue? If he can't be persuaded by compassion, surely the almighty dollar would do it?
