I think one of the big things that bugs me about his voice is that he articulates everything like they teach you to in choir. "BuT thaT doesn'T mean..." that sounds awkward outside of any setting but like middle school choir. And he pushes his air out in a weirdly forceful manner and clips his phrases way too much. There's also the fact that he tries to add flourishes and things but it's as robotic as the rest of his singing, so it all just sounds incredibly awkward.

You either need to learn to sing, or stop trying to sing. Seriously, you seem to have wanted to prove to America, or yourself, that you really can sing. You're singing like you're talking to a job interviewer. Your voice shakes, you have no depth to your singing, you start and stop abruptly, you almost don't use any vibrato or tremolo, and when you do, it's at the wrong time, and it's just bad. Stop trying to be one of those guys that sings well despite being untrained, and take some lessons.
