Jackie's perfect voice and the visual magnificence of the House of Flying Daggers shows the way for Eastern and Western culture: together, we can produce rare beauty. There is no better way.
What a moving performance of a beautiful, haunting song. Thank God that He endowed Jackie with her talents, and thank Jackie and her parents for all the hard work she and they have done so that she can share her talents with the rest of us.
I love this video and Jackie's power put together in one. But y'all ruinned it by arguing irrelivant BS. If only there's not a lot arguing about chinese thingy here, this video could have been one of jackie's popular you tube hits too. No offense, I am not racist or anything, actually I saw the movie too, I did not like it that much, but when I found this video with jackie singing in the background I love it and put it on my favs. I just felt sad for this lovely video getting waisted.
@LiuSiViiv1989: After reading your comments I believe we are polar-opposite on the Chinese language and we should just leave the topic to somewhere else because neigher of us can convince the other here.
This is about introducing Jackie to 1.3 billion people who use the simplified Chinese rather than a pocket of 50 million or so using the traditional Chinese which I wholeheartedly, completely, and respectfully reject. I know both too well to change my view. Please, no debate on Chinese.
@bdeng2007 simplified chinese is stupid. It's seriously like writing stuff like WTF, LOL, LMAO, ZOMG, etc. to me. I just can't take it seriously. I don't care of 1.3 billion use it (not all of them are literate anyway).
@F0reseer It seems that approximately 1/6th of the worlds population must be wrong,to make a language that can be understood by many,English is really only simplified European
@888mrshoe It wasn't 1/6 of the world's population who decided to use simplified chinese. Unless the CCP alone makes up 1/6 of the world's population. English is not a simplified anything. And if you want to make a language that can be understood by many, you'd do away completely with your characters and create an alphabet, like the Koreans did. Simplified is just as hard to learn, your brain still allot the same amount of space to memorize all of 3000-5000 different characters.
@F0reseer Thank you for reply looked up Korean on internet and I can see what you mean about simplicity.
I hope the Koreans also enjoyed Jackie as much as l and many others have/ she gave us the chance to correspond and you gave me a some new knowledge Thanks again.good health to you
"The Book of Poetry" is the first collection of Chinese poems and the source of Chinese Literature, in this book, there is such a sentence at the end of the 'July' poem: "The farmers go to the public hall, there raise the wine cup of rhinoceros' horn, praise and cheer each other: Wish you long life, the life of endless days."
A great experience. Jackie is an Angel.
