@FedoraFTW Do you mean the case itself or my particular setup? In my setup I have only one cord visible and that's because it's not long enough to loop it around back. Other than that, all over cords are hidden behind the baseplate for the motherboard. It's actually really great, especially since they included a plastic piece to cover all of the cords coming off of the power supply on the bottom. I love it, and it's great cable management for me.
@FedoraFTW Really? I'm not sure how you can see "cords everywhere" since they are all behind the motherboard base plate and hidden. The only visible cord to the front is the one power cable to the motherboard. Other than that, the only thing you can see is the very beginning of the cord as it is threaded into the back, but that's how it works with any case.
Personally, I don't like the HAF X. I've never owned one ,and no offense to anyone who's bought it, but it's just ugly. The HF 922 looks better and it's practically $100 less. In my cases I like a clean look, not a bunch of pieces of plastic sprouting off of it to make it look "muscular". In my opinion the NZXT Phantom is just plain beautiful.
@TheOneAndOnlygab195 This case is definitely designed to look like a piece of equipment that you might see in a movie, with some utilitarian features. It's designed to look "buff and tough" and I like it, but not everyone will. The aesthetic aspect of the case is the least important, IMO, but I still enjoy a good look. While the NZXT Phantom looks sleek and smooth, I find it somewhat barren and bland looking.
To each his own when it comes to aesthetics, for sure!
@FoxeoVideos Geez, I didn't notice how offensive and negative my comment was haha. Let me rephrase: The Haf X is good looking, no doubt it's bad ass, but I think its not the best. I think the Phantom looks better. There that sounds a lot nicer haha.
@SVTFilms Pure power isn't my goal. I want a machine within a decent price range that meets me where I need to be met. I can jack up the settings on pretty much any game I play to Ultra High, or at least High, and that's plenty for me. I have never made it my goal to have the most powerful machine. This rig works with and renders HD video very well, and it plays games as well as I want it to...
I'm loving the build and the videos! Specially hackintosh tutorials!!!! Come by my channel when you have free time and pls subscribe if that's ok...that'll be much helpful! Thank youuuu and take care at Japannnnn
@trentborchard I've run extensive 30+ minute stress tests on my machine, and I've never been able to push the temps even into the "yellow" zone, as I call it. I'll have to wait until the summer to see if it's possible to push it hotter.
@XmortdreadX That's just the way it happened. I'd love to get this machine more out in the open, but my small one-bedroom condo just doesn't have the space for it.
intel stock coolers are known for locking up and running low RPMS after few months. has happened to me with at least 3 processors. either way ill never use stock fans again
@FoxeoVideos haha nice one man, love the way you came back with a witty comment rarther than just f**k you maaan or something feeble, got a coolermaster storm case myself, thought that was pretty big till i saw your haf
@darkrobroy14 Not at all. I have a beautiful wife, and I'm lucky to have found her. We both value exercise and (generally) healthy eating habits. Being overweight is a huge burden on a person's body, and causes quality of life issues.
@craig20vt I bet his schedule and lifestyle is way more productive and on point than yours.Your probably some insecure broke POS that still smooches off mommy because your too impotent to support yourself and on top of that your schedule is so off track like WTF,you can't even time eating your breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a certain time. How about that?Scum of society and not one benefit to our nation. All you know how to do it talk shit behind a computer and probably masturbates to bestiality.
I definitely recommend the Corsair H70 or H50! Cools very well and stays around 35-39c under load on my intel i7-950, not to mention it cleans up your case clutter and is totally quiet.
nice. i thought it was a bad idea to sit your computer on your carpet. im still tryin to find a desk with plenty of airspace and hold my HAF X off my carpet. if you got any info please help
@pointblack1000 A lot of people don't like the stock cooler, but I'm not sure why. Is it an aesthetic thing? I monitor my computer's temperatures and it's running nice and cool even under load (during an intense 3D game). Why would I spend money on an expensive CPU heatsink/fan when the one I've got works perfectly?
@pointblack1000 hes not going to overclock so no point lols. most people like to get sweet heatsinks but only because ither there going to overclock or there intel fan does not work no more.
@pointblack1000 stock intel fans are not even noisy there mad quiet but then agian im not sure what one your talking about for stock i know the core 2 duo and up all are quiet unless your overclocking then i can see why. but they do get noisy if you overclock (same with high end fan cpu fans) but i get your idea on what you mean.
im not sure what your room temp is but mine is 27-29C so thats maby why my pc's stock intel fan was not noisy :S.
You remind me of Dr. Evil with your kitty. Cool build. I am doing a similar one this weekend with the Corsair 600T. I love the Corsair 600 T but I will need to get a side panel fan as the graphics card needs more cooling.
I have almost an identical build that I got this month, with 6gb of corsair dominator ram and the Haf 932, which is the size under the HAF X, I dont think I'll ever need another type of case again as long as coolermaster keeps making this type of case, its the best case I've ever seen and has perfect airflow, at full load my PC doesnt even let off any heat.
What is memory (or kit) install on my Asus motherboard x58 Sabertooth, reasoning processes i7 950.
I want to go installing gradually, in the future (2 or 3 years) to achieve maximum memory capacity of my Asus motherboard for x58 Sabertooth 24G.The montherboard comes with Double Date Rate 3 (DDR3) Dual Inline Memory Modules (DIMM) sockets.
you really love that case :P I was considering it, and then considering the azza hurrican 2000, and then I ended up going with the armor a90 because I didnt want to spend so much money and the a90 is really awesome. :) i love the look and the blue/black.
@shaun2312 Trying to get it up and running, but for some reason it cannot recognize my HDDs. I've tried everything I can think of, but still no luck. Gonna post a vid and see if anyone has a suggestion.
@FoxeoVideos I had same prob with the Sabertooth....3 drives. (only recognized my primary) Once I installed Win 7 I had to power off and switch the drives to different ports....rebooted and wah-lah. Hope this works for ya!
