  • Just out of interest how has nobody in your "organisation" picked up on a quite blatant flaw in your campaign? Businesses don't pay VAT on their expenses!

For example an Airline buying a plane is an expense and therefore they don't pay VAT If a builder buys a Work van he doesn't pay VAT on it

If a hairdresser buys a pair of scissors they don't pay VAT on it. How can you possibly be moaning about something that is not only quite legal but in fact a way of life for businesses.

  • @eastielover I wonder why haven't you asked the question: "If VAT would be a waist of time when it comes to aviation, why isn't it when it comes to any other business? Why Government insists in processing VAT?" Do you pay VAT when you buy a CD? Do you pay VAT when you buy a plane ticket? Do you see the difference? Do you realise this is a end-user problem?

  • @77GOG PART 2: I don't mean to be offensive but I think these “campaign groups” just haven’t a clue. I’m pretty sure these groups have no real experience in the business world and after all no matter what any socialist will try and tell you rightly or wrongly money makes the world go round. Once these people have gone and ran their own business and worked hard then feel free to come back and hang posters up everywhere, but unless they have I wish they would just go away.

  • @77GOG PART 1:

As I said before Businesses don't pay VAT on expenses. If a Lorry company buys a Lorry or a Builder buys a Van he doesn't pay VAT on it as long as it is solely for Business use so i.e. if a builder bought a Ferrari he would pay VAT on it. You with me so far?

Re the CD thing, well that's not an expense so VAT is payable on it.

  • Was there any comeback from the billboard hijacking?

  • Superb. Just....superb.

  • nice. love the inventiveness.

  • All big corporations pay no or little tax look at voda and all the wealthy elite VAT is a tax on the poor its not for the rich they write it off
