  • hey it's santa cruz, this is what happens when you smoke a lot of weed :)

  • whether its fake or not...we had fun here!

  • i went there today!

  • I'd like to bring a blind man with me when i go

  • What happened at 1:34?

  • one has to be really illiterate to consider there is something unusual here. Just use the calibrator on your phone, it will explain everything.... duh

  • @TheTrueJonny Sorry I forgot to say that the board is not only completely flat, but also completely horizontal.

  • Guys it's not all fake. Obviously most of it is optical illusion but the thing with the board is true. I was there myself and the guide put the level everywhere on the board, and the bubble was in the middle all the time. The board IS a completely flat surface, there's no doubt about that. The level is NOT manipulated, some people brought their own ones and tested it. There IS something wrong with this place, even though the guides mostly make it look like a show.

  • i understand how it's all fake and stuff but how does the ball roll down and then back?

  • SCAM, Please go to "Mystery Spot Review" at Yahoo to read review on 8/29/11

  • @slicernce scam? are you retarded? it's a tourist entertainment attraction you dipshit. I'm guessing you don't enjoy watching some sort of magic show right? can you hear the laughter in the background of the video? PEOPLE HAVING FUN. dip shit learn to have fun with life and not be so serious, i'm quite sure you're the person who wrote the review as well. do us all a favor though, go to your local elementary school and tell all the kids there that santa isn't real.

  • berkeley.edu/news/berkeleyan/1998/0909/spot.html

read this guys...explains why the mystery spot is considered a mystery.

  • @LizLopezOfficial it costs $5

  • if you seem this is just an illusion, can you see someone on the left of the roof?

the wood having more declined angle than him

    BUSTED!

  • How much does it coast

  • Samdihaiob or whatever the person right below this message

U werent there cuze I went and there is this force that pushes u strongly and u have to hold on the cabin side so u can rest u can't just stand there so don't be all like I KNOW EVERTHING AND UR RONG AMD IM RIGHT CUZE BLABLABLA!!

  • @iLoVeHaTe65 For show. I love the stickers they give you in the end.

  • that was my tour guide!

  • I wanna go there blazed

  • He rolls the ball up the plank, it comes down. The other times he doesn't roll the ball upwards, it comes straight down.

  • the house is slanted

  • cracked

  • That guy sounds so bored.

  • @mastoidrama it's hard not to be bored when you do the same tour 8 times a day

  • Cracked

  • it all a bunch of hullabaloo its all an optical illusion.

  • Umm duhh I went there they said the house slid down the hill but it stopped sliding cause theres a tree right in front of it so it stays in place

  • @JennaMiller90

The tree is 25 years old, the shack is over 60 years old... He said that in the video...

  • what the hell thAT IS SO COOOOOL

  • doesn't matter of the house being slanted...everything else is leveled and he also did it again in another location

  • doesn't matter of the house being slanted...everything else is leveled

  • Okay, I give up. WHERE'S Criss Angel?

  • I have actually been at this so-called mystery spot and left unimpressed. :\

  • @kaddany4644 just because the house is tilted doesn't mean the piece if wood is.haha

The piece of wood is level. Look up Santa cruz mystery house diagram. It explains how it works.

  • this place is legit ive been there

ive live a few min away from it and its a trip when you get there

  • thumbs up if this video is messing with your head

  • Somebody should have called him out and been like, um the house is slanted dumbass

  • @adamhampel lol i was there today, go there yourself, dumbass.

  • @adamhampel

you obviously haven't been there geek

  • The gravity is fine. its just a dumb way of making money, all they did was slanted the floor and the buildings to trick your mind.

  • thanks for the headache...

  • Ive been here.. very wierd over there.. the ball is force itself up because the gravaty i guess and atmosphere.. its real. not fake. They also sell cool rocks!! :D.. this is wierd too. because once you get in the house it makes you lightly dizzy. honestly it felt like a boat when you move... LOL

  • @kaddany4644 It's nothing but an illusion. Please realize that it is not possible for gravity to be different there. The reason it felt like on a boat, is because that is all it is. A tilted house.

  • @realisticHomeboy Yes i notice it looks slithgtly (or alot) tilted.. but the measurement said it was flat.

  • @kaddany4644 No it didn't.

  • @realisticHomeboy says it was in the middle :I

  • KAHN!!! I thought it meant the secret pool skate spot in Santa Cruz

  • Hey... He got 142,331 hits, so it can't be that stupid.

  • ...absolute lie !!!!!!...........fake......

  • I been there theres weard shit like water runing up hill, a level spot where a 5"2" girl was taller then me a 6"3' man and the ground looks slanted but if u put a level on it its not, just all kinds of weard things

  • so basically people flock to some idiotic hermit's attempt to build a cabin on a hill before realizing that you need to build up one side to make it level?

  • I went there this past summer. It's basically a tilted shack. Even the floors inside the shack is aligned along the side of the hill. So if you step inside the shack, gravity is just pulling you downhill.

  • why does the guy talk like hes at an Auction?

  • It's amazing that people (not just little kids, but adults) actually think something is strange about the gravity there, instead of just noticing that the house is fucking tilted.

  • @realisticHomeboy If you havent been there it is quite instresting.. once you get uphill a force is trying to push you back. makes it alot more harder then walking up an average hill.. and it wasnt even steep O_o

  • ????????............????????

  • Amazing place; it's even located inside the redwood forest, it is such a subliminal experience

  • AMAZING !!

  • I've been there before. It gives you a horrible headache.

  • @yellowdemini i got very dizzy.. like a boat sickness.. LOL

  • Unless you have actually been there, your comments just show that you don't know what the heck you are talking about. So, all you know-it-alls pony up the money and go there to prove your theory, or shut the hell up.

  • @ShonashEastwood

I agree. I'm a physics undergrad and I just want to see this place for myself!

  • @ShonashEastwood Unless you realize that none of this is anything but optical illusions, then your brain is not evolved enough for you to have a valid opinion about anything at all.

  • @realisticHomeboy Unless you realize that this is just a small portion of the tour of the area, and they DO TELL YOU that the house has been built with a tilt on purpose. So, If you are just basing your inane observations on just this video, instead of actually doing the tour in person, and seeing the whole tour (My tour guide was actually quite cool, and actually encouraged people who brought levels to use them and see for themselves), your opinion is not valid either.

  • @ShonashEastwood I am naturally talking about ALL of their illusions, and not just what's shown on this video. Please don't tell me you are ignorant enough to actually think it's possible for gravity to be different there.

  • theres a whole story about the land and how some guy got tricked into buying it back in the day. The man bought it to build his house but he quickly realized he couldnt build because of some time of weird gravitational force which actually is pulling in the reverse direction or something like that. THAT IS WHY THE HOUSE IS SLANTED! IF YOU TRY BUILDING ANOTHER HOUSE IN THE SAME SPOT YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU SEE...

  • ive been here and its not a scam the house is slanted but many things about it are not explained the trees around the area also grow all weird on of them is like a cork screw your also forgetting the level

  • Damn it. I thought this was about the secret Pool spot in santa cruz

  • this tour guide.

    kiss

    my

    ass

  • this guy talks waaaay too fast when i went our guide was awesome

  • I was just there is past week, the building is tilted like the last person stated, but it is so strange in there. It is very difficult to walk in there. Everyone in there is standing inclined and nobody falls. You have to be there to truly experience it. The trees around the spot only have branches growing from one side, the side of the tree that is facing away from the spot. Of course the building sets an optical illusion but there's more to it then that.

  • It's called a tilt induced optical illusion. We have them in Britain, hills where stuff roll up and the like. They're normally natural though because no one here would be stupid enough to pay to see one and if you told them gravity was messed up or an alien spaceship is buried there they'd punch you and steal your shoes.

  • The guide is kind of cute... :)

  • lol Mystery spot my ass.The house is slanted / the hill is slanted.wat else do u expect . They just do that for money.

  • You cant tell by the video, it does make the house just look slanted! But I've been there many times! You guys gotta go there, many things will amaze you! There has been a lot of weird stuff that has occurred at just that spot in the mountains. Does it make sense that when standing on a level board at one end you're taller than the person on the other end and when you switch sides its just the opposite! Crazy stuff

  • @holly1670 yes you get taller when you are standing on the taller part of the hill

  • ha i had that tour guide

  • Aha,i had the same Group tour Guy.

  • "the board of mystery!" (tilt your head so the board and the tilt of the guides feet align) myth busted.

  • c'mon people, the house is freakin slanted

  • No, its not an illusion, the area is phucked. Gravity is at a diagonal. There are no animals there and the trees are all slanted. It looks strange on video, but try going there. Santa Cruz california USA.

  • lol i went there... they saay that the mantle or lava or WHATEVER (lol xD) doesnt run in the right direction :P but lol yea,... the house is slanted xD but it was cool going inside it x3 meez went there

  • that was my guide! lol

  • damn look at that hot ass on the left yumms.

  • @The371554 you mean those two little Asians? jk jk

  • @The371554 damn right

  • lol you perv. her ass is hanging out of her shorts!

  • @The371554 The 13 year old?

  • @The371554 Yep, you'll go to jail. She looks 15.

  • witch the movie Tmple Grandin by HBO

it has the explanation given by an Autistic.

    Simply a great Movie.

  • It's not suppernatural, it's an illusion, so, not real.

  • I love the mystery spot & I live in Santa Cruz. That place is bomb. Even if you hate it/wanna prove the fun incorrect. But it's fun, especially for kids.

  • You all should go there before you make such comments. It is a really instersting place

  • this is so stupid don't get me wrong i believe the universe is full of mysteries and phenomena but this is just a freakin magic trick

  • Do people seriously not notice the house is slanted?

  • @JerryRSun the house is just to throw people off. look at the trees, they're like / the angle of the board is actually going / not \

  • @JerryRSun it's a optical illusion, so it does not appear slanted...take a class in perception (normally in a psych dept.)

  • The house appears slanted when you have the fence and trees as reference, smart one.

  • @JerryRSun Of course they do. I went there myself a few years ago. It's REALLY weird there.

  • @JerryRSun because of the different gravity there, the house would be slanted.

  • @TouchMeAndDIE101 There is no different gravity there. The slanted house is a basic and well known optical illusion. Look it up if you don't believe me. If you take a camera in there that's tilted to actual gravity, you would get footage of a bunch of people walking around upright and normal, but being stupidly impressed by how the gravity doesn't match the house (because it's slanted on purpose).

  • @TouchMeAndDIE101 There's no different gravity there. You can build a slanted house ANYWHERE exactly the same way as they did there, and it would be the same. How do we know? Because what goes on inside the house is completely ordinary. Believing that there's different gravity there is like believing that a magician's tricks are actually magic.

  • @JerryRSun that's the whole idea you faggot, to show the mystery spots reverse gravity and magnetic field.

  • @020701304 There is no "reverse gravity and magnetic field", you idiot. It's a slanted house, which when you go inside, confuses your senses because you have no reference to the actual horizon. I don't understand how people can be this stupid...not getting it even though it is so simply explained.

  • @JerryRSun no the house is flat, i've been there before, you go in the house and you can lean in any direction and still be balanced it's pretty cool!

  • @JerryRSun no shitt they notice it you have to go there to expience it dumb fuck fuckN idiot

  • @JerryRSun WE ALL KNOW IT'S SLANTED. but have you been there yourself? that board however is level. not only that once your there you get this strange light headedness ONLY when you enter the shack. all the branches grow in one direction, away from the spot. and all the birds fly in irregular patterns only low to the ground. and no other animals in that area. they did an experiment where you go uphill and you become shorter than the person downhill a foot in front of you instead of taller.

  • @brandeezy108

I can't believe I'm still getting responses for this. You have the internet. USE IT. All of that, anything you think is "mysterious", is EASILY explained. They're optical illusions. It is all so simple that a grade school child can understand it all.

  • @JerryRSun well you explain it, since you know so much, i mean you've obviously been there right. i'll believe you once you've been there.

  • @brandeezy108 ive been there and there is no force its slanted and theres nothing special about it.if it was so special theyed have a completely plain unslanted surface and put a ball on that.

  • @JerryRSun To tell you the truth, im one of the people who liked your comment. However, i unliked it BECAUSE i went there myself... and trust me.. it was more than a slanted house -_-; The sense of gravity there felt extremely weird, which caused me to feel light-headed and very dizzy.

  • @yellowdemini That is the equivalent of a person spinning around really fast for a minute and then when they stop, they swear that the world really is spinning, just because it feels that way. The truth is you can meddle with human senses and create illusions, and you can demonstrate it with the same setup anywhere on the earth. The mystery spot is not a mystery at all.

  • when I went there it made me a bit motion sick

  • i live next to it. its only fun on lsd

  • looks like an illusion based on the slope of the hill, the ball is still rolling down.

  • there is a similar place in north carolina called mystery hill

  • omg, thats so cool =O

  • ive been there and its sooooooooo cool

  • I have been here numerous times with friends and stuff and it is amazing!! We even had the same tour guide as in the video!!

  • wtf? they got one in knotts berry farm in buena park

  • @zbstr611 thats because theyre easy to make.

  • Can you make the tilted house any more obvious?

  • omg i went there last month and i had the HOTEST tourguide ever!!!!!! his name was james

  • thaaaaaaaats me!

  • !! wow !!

haha thats insane you saw my comment..and alittle embarassing but whatever

i was on your tour on august 1st : ) you are a really good tour guide

  • LOLz... I'm going there in a few hours. I wonder if I hear the same exact thing. :)

  • i went like yestaday

  • me 2

  • i just went yesterday and had the same tour guide in the video. lol

  • love this place we do smoke weed but whats that have to do with it?

  • i dont have gravity pull at any angel its the tilt of the house that makes you look like that or til of the camera

  • theres an old film taken in the house it can see behind the fence which everything is all flat the house is built on 25 degrees off the ground

  • when he gets the pool ball i could do that for hours on end =D

  • why is he standing at a sharp angle

  • cause of the grav pull

  • iloveihop07 i was just there today. trust me its not just a physics trick. ur theory seems possible but there r so many other things that the mystery spot has tht i dont think thts true

  • when i go im gunna bring my own level thing so i can be sure its not rigged or anything!

  • This guy has done this routine one too many times. He sounds like a pitchman or a carnival game vendor.

  • You have to kidding me,

that's what all those stupid ass stickers are for??? Knotts Berry Farm is a better illusion, wow people in Santa Cruz must smoke a shit load of dope!

  • actualy yes we do but people frm everywhere go there

  • Okay, you guys. Read this. The house is built on a hill, but the foundation is built flat. Next, build everything on the house on a slant. Top it off, have the board pointing "up". When you place a ball on the board, it seems as if it is pointing up, but since the house is flat and it is on a hill it will roll amazingly "up" the board. This is why the board is flat when he puts the leveling tool on it. Not some weird magic, just a physics trick ; )

  • I Went Today! It Was AWESOME! I Wanna Go Back,

  • I want to go now.

  • <--born and raised in Santa Cruz. been here once. I don't even know why I went. It was terrible haha omg biggest fucking tourist attraction I've ever seen, and this City has a lot of em.

  • To make a long story short

All u have to see is the horizon then everything will b solved.

i bet this place has been built so tourist cant see the horizon?

    am i correct?

  • Can't see the horizon through a bunch of trees.

  • Correct...look at how tall the fences are. No chance of seeing the horizon when inside the gates.

It would be a great tourist attraction if they didn't scam people out of thier money to go there and lie to them about the 'vortex.'

  • I agree. I think the cool illusory factor should be good enough marketing...but instead they lie about magnets or aliens...

  • @pastpanda Dude you are soo right, in my country Mexico (specifiacally in Mex City) theres a place called "la cabaña del tio chueco" (the twisted uncle cabin) and they have the same atractions, including the pool table and the weights on the ceiling. This tourist spot is part of one of our national recreational parks and its been there for more than 40 years.

  • @Bugatronic In the Black Hills of South Dakota, the area is called "the Cosmos" Whooo. scary!

  • @pastpanda not a scam..even if it was...$5 isnt much to be worried about lol. BUT I've been there and no its not a scam. YES the house is slanted but there are things there that cannot be explained simply by a slanted house.

  • I know there is a guidance system buried 1000s of years ago at that spot, like a lighthouse to the universe. It screws everything up. You can hear the signal it broadcasts if you use your IPod there.

  • it only made ur mind dizzy cuz ur mind plays tricks on you

  • that's hilarious...thats the same dude who did my tour today...he most like that job...damn that place made me dizzy as hell hah

  • i love that place!!! its good for $5. whenever you go to the house, you feel so dizzy. haha

  • Oh i went there before my cousin took me and it was really cool I was amazed. You can really feel it its soooo Craaaazy. I agree its not fake you just have to be there to believe it.

  • ive been there today in the house its CRAZY!!! i could barley hold on its like the house is a space ship moving!

  • been there. its not fake. you can feel it and see it.

  • I been there 3 times. If this is an illusion they did a good job! I think its real. You can bring your own ball, your own string that hangs at an angle, your own compass that goes crazy. You can walk up the walls. its so crazy. its real!

  • It's an illusion

  • i live in santa cruz also dude this place is a trip it aint fake at all

  • i live in santa cruz

mystery spot is not a fake

  • dude i was there that place is awesome

  • this cant just be an "illusion". it might be aplified by illusion, but animals do not go in this area, and stay away from a certain radius of this place. and alot of people i went with, their batteries stopped working in their cameras, and if you bring a compass it spins around and doesnt point the right direction. its due to a magnetic field. exactly like in the south and north pole.

  • hate to takeaway your mystery candy but its just an optical illution.. search for Ames room..

  • can I have my mystery candy back?

  • ive been there its only a fun house its built on a slant on a hill so its weird but not a mystery but i is cool

  • then explain the ball rolling backwards.its not a fun house its real.

  • the overall tilt is in favor of rolling 'up'

  • ok first of all its hard to explain cuz i aint smart enough but its got to do with perception and the scenery around in ireland were im from there is a hill that things roll up well it looks that way but its got to do with surrounding scenery look it up its real cool to see a car roll up hill and its the same sort of thing in the mystery spot and i will add in my opinion

  • i cant stand the way tour guides talk. i went to a mystery spot in branson, mo and the tour guide talked the same way.

  • Anyone wanna buy some snake oil?

  • yes please for shining my nike runner expolandium freddie mercury hipothisis

  • you can see the house is slanted pretty cool though :)

  • I went here when i turned 9! This place is FREAKY!!!

  • buried UFO.

  • sexy little whore with blond hair on the left.

  • TOURIST PLACE

  • thats retarded its built on a hill of course its go
