hey,

usually when people swap v8's into rangers, what type of v8's do they use? i mean its not a v8 ranger engine right? do you use a f150 v8 engine or what?? (im new, trying to learn though, lol)

also... i heard that a ranger with a v8 engine swap will get way better gas mileage than a stock v6 due to weight to power ratio... makes sences to me... big engine, small truck... what do you think?? yours get better gas mileage??

well, im looking at doing the same but with my 2001 xlt. currently have 2k saved up for the swap.

I need your thoughts on this because im not that great of a mechanic. I can do small engines though!.. i have some friends that are smart with this kind of stuff but i would like to pay a professional to do it so i could have a clean job. if you know of any kind of professional i should look for please let me know

u can get a skyjacker 6inch lift for $1500, or u could get a rough country 4 inch suspension lift for $440 then a 2 inch body lift for $180.

cant tell what tires hes got so i cant tell u the price for them.

@DennisH8706 the frame was cut into and there is no radiator fan off the engine, only an electric one on the radiator. Its a tight fit but it worked, lol.
