Even Chuck Baldwin got more votes than Barr. Of course it is illegal for us to make sure all our votes were counted and Barr doesn't have the balls to sue illegal unconstitutional presidential candidates.FAKE Barr
Barr is the only candidate that has the right to use the word "change" in their campaign. If you want the country to return to the constitution and the Republic it once was...Vote Libertarian!
If I was old enough to vote, I'd go for Barr. I wish people my age realized that there are more people running for president than just Obama and McCain.
Hussein Obama actually held an Indonesian passport and traveled to Pakistan with it when he was 20 years old. His mother had not lived in the USA for the five years prior to his birth regardless of where he was born and when asked to produce a US birth certificate rather than produce it, his campaign filed a motion to block those (the democrat, Berg) who were demanding he produce it. This guy does not qualify to run for the Presidency according to constitutional law.
Do I object to his name? I think it is downright stupid to elect a man who attended a Madrassah during a Jihad.
Is this ALL I object to about Hussein Obama? Not by a LONG shot. I also object to Marxists being elected to the highest political office in the land. "A Marxist!" you say. Yeah. A Marxist. He wants to "spread the wealth around". He feels social security should be there "for those who NEED it". A Marxist.
I guess the local republican party operative didn't get the memo from McCain informing him that even McCain is supporting Hussein Obama, the Kenyan born Acorn.
Are you calling him an Acorn after the voter registration company? Is all you have against Obama is his name and your illusion that he was somehow born outside the US but was able to keep it secret from the US Government? BTW, if you ARE talking about the Voter Registration, McCain has spoken to them and thanked them for their service at an event, the video is here on Youtube...but there's none like that of Obama!
Your vote for Libertarian Presidential candidate Bob Barr is guaranteed to improve America's future! If he gets at least 5% of the popular vote in this year's election, his party's Presidential campaign in 2012 can receive millions of dollars in voluntary taxpayer funds. It will also automatically qualify to be on state ballots, thereby avoiding long and costly signature petition drives. So do the 'most patriotic good' with your vote, help America build a 3rd major political party!!!
I second your motion. A vote for Barr is not wasted. It is a step toward personal liberty on all levels and peace in our lifetime. Don't fall for the "I'm voting for McCain because I dislike Obama" trap. Only a Libertarian can offer a true platform of social and economic tolerance, something desperately needed in these times. Only a Libertarian is philosophically bound to oppose financial and social aggression. A Libertarian respects YOU and the decisions YOU make with YOUR life. Barr 2008!
well said, my friend...you're so right on about the way to waste a vote. "i'm voting for X because I hate Y"...this is the only wasted vote in this country.
This is typical two party politics. People, get on board with the alternative. Bob Barr would be a great president. Lets show the brainwashed two party masses that they have a REAL choice this Nov. Get the word out. Vote Barr in 08
People, grab your pitchforks and shotguns, were takaing back our freedom. These government thugs think they have the power? The only power is in numbers. And ours are growing!
Obama or McCain I don't care.. They are both Socialist/Unconstitutional douches.
Whether or not Palin is really hot and has some good views... It doesn't matter for me I will be able to say "Hey I didn't vote for either of them scumbags."
Tenche: Not good enough. You are helping to destroy all of what we hold valuable in our republic, and for what? So you can "say" something like that or make a selfish vote? Bob Barr doesn't need your vote! 'We the people' need your vote. A vote for Barr is a vote for Obama and against the Republic; Regardless of the leftist leanings of both, the leading ideologies are significantly different and very important. Think justices; McCain is the only choice.
Let me get this straight, you're saying we should vote for McCain, who basically is nothing more than 4 more years of Bush? And for what, to keep collectivists like you from panicking? We should have thrown both parties out after the travesties of Vietnam and Nixon. That was our chance to save the republic. I will not vote democrat or republican this year. I made that mistake three times, and will never do so again.
Homer177: "Collectivists like me?" Huh? You are missing the point, and you are making one of the worst mistakes in history, period. Barr doesn't need your vote; we the people do. You are going to help all three branches of government go hard-left and steamroll the republic and all of libery. You have to think.
You sound a lot like the Borg from Star Trek. Seriously, your whole 'Resistance is Futile' attitude will cause this 'Republic' to become no more than a mere puppet state, if it hasn't already. I will not vote for McCain, no matter how much you think doing so will save the 'republic'.
homer177: Ha! That was actually pretty funny. Seriously though, the gravity of this particular election is far greater than before becuase of the ability for the justices to go left, along with the congress and presidency. That is something which, at this time, will kill the republic. If you believe in the idea of freedom and liberty, then a vote for McCain is now the only choice.
Liberty doesn't mean a damn thing unless you have independence. A vote for either McCain or Obama is a vote for a totalitarian forced theocracy. Wow, talk about paradox: It's not forced if people like you beg for it.
"Those who would trade liberty for security shall be denied both, and deserve neither." -Benjamin Franklin
The Gravity of this particular election is indeed great, which is why Bob Barr must get as many votes as possible. McCain is hostile to free markets, civil liberties and freedom of speech. He is dumb enough to think that bailouts help rather than injure the economy.
The utterly vicious way in which his people treated Ron Paul supporters and delegates, as well as the protesters in Minnesota are all you need to know about him.
He doesn't give a damn about you, your family or your community.
You say you fear Obama more even though the Republican party is the fascist party which tries to sue political opponents to silence them?
Truly amazing.
The Republican party is much more of a big government, control your life party than the Democrats. Maybe not in the past, but certainly now with their latest FASCIST moves to silence political opponents!
tingtangs: There's not much worse for the Republic than Obama. He would destroy the U.S. Constitution. He is a far left, anti-Constitutional, socialist totalitarian. The Republicans are small government, low-control. Bush has been acting like a Democrat, that's why the government has grown. Bush inherited a crashed market from Clinton (thriving before Clinton due to a GOP congress). But, it's Bush behaving like a Dem that caused problems; and worse now that Democrats control congress.
JJCarbon is living proof that fascists will say anything to get away with their fascist actions like suing political opponents in order to silence them.
Woah, now, you better make sure your hands are clean before you start throwing s**t around tingtangs. Mr. Obama has tried to silence many 527 ads put out by private citizens with the dept. of Justice because he didn't like people talking about his dirty secrets. Now i'm not defending Mccain here but, the difference between Obama and Mccain is really honestly very little. They're both terrible, Obama will just destroy the nation a little faster. HERE WE COME SOVIET UNION!
Read what you wrote. A vote for a third party is a vote telling the two party establishment that it's time to listen to the American people or get ready to be thrown out. Obama or McSame. Some "choice".
BobBarr2008: Why are u running?? You know how close this is. 'We the people' could really use your help right now. All you believe in, and our very repulic, would be threatened by an Obama victory. And you have the power to help. I never though you would put yourself before our republic; that's not the Bob Barr I know. It's not about the lesser of two evils Bob, it's about leaning ideologies, and most importantly, the justices. Please, fight with us save our republic; don't fight against us.
That's exactly why RON PAUL declined being on the LP ticket you MORON!! PAUL is playing the MEDIA to educate the people about the election process. With every stunt Paul Pulls, he gains more support and media exposure for the cause of liberty and FREE and FAIR elections.
Does anyone really listen to you??? not really. Ron Paul has been there and done that back in 87'. The stranglehold by the Republicrats is 10x stronger since then.
You f'd up by backing out and lost your golden op.
Screw McCain and OBama and their side show side kicks. I am so sick of the status quo!
I am voting my conscience. I will no long vote for the lesser of two evils. Enough of that crap.
I am voting for BOB BARR!!!!
IF real conservatives (not religious right people) voted for Barr, it would shake up enough cages in the media to make the Libertarian party something to be reckoned with!
What is going on in Pennsylvania? The Democrats did this to Nader and are now under criminal investigation. Now the Republicans are after Barr? It's disgusting.
Libertarians, don't vote for the lesser of two evils. I'm equally disgusted with both parties. Libertarians, vote on your conscious. Vote for Bob Barr.
biffslide: I agree with you. But we need to buy ourselves time. An Obama victory would be an absolute disaster. The reality is, Bob is not going to win the election this time. By voting Bob, you are voting for Obama. Now, I like Bob. And, I like what he stands for. But we need to think about the republic first. Obama is a nightmare. He cares nothing for the republic, and will institute a totalitarian socialism. Think about the justices and the leaning ideologies(Palin is a conservative).
biffslide: I agree, but we can't vote for Bob this time. We need to buy time. An Obama victory would be a disaster. Think about the justices and the leaning ideologies(Palin is a conservative).
bigdog49094: The principle here is the republic. Voting for Bob does nothing but fight against the republic. We need every vote we can get. do you understand why voting for McCain is the only principled choice? I would rather vote for Bob, but I can't let my selfishness get in the way of the republic.
Well JJ what I have here is two people calling me stupid, Obama and McCain and McCain wants me to vote for him because he thinks I am less stupid than Obama does. Well let me have my one minute of freedom voting for Bob so it will sweeten the four years of slavery I have to look forward to.
bigdog49094: and about your 'people calling you stupid' commet. This is way bigger than the patries, the people, or issues. It has now come down to core ideologies. Like I said, I would like to vote for Bob, but we must think of the republic first. I am voting for freedom, becuase I am voting for the republic. A vote for Barr is to vote against the republic; it is a vote to throw away the very liberties that people like you, me, and Bob stand for. Think.
Have thought about it and still can't do it. JJ a vote for the lesser of two Evils is still a vote for evil but I respect your right to do what you think is right. Would respect it more tho if ppl who vote for McCain or Obama would attack Bob Barr on the issues but they do not attack his stance on the issues. To me the issues are important and most US voters esp men are worried about if they can get the Obama girl in their bed or Palin in their in their bed and is about as far as they think.
bigdog49094: It's not about voting for the lesser of two evils - it's about voting to save the republic. This is NOT about the candidates; it's not even about the issues. It's about a far, far bigger problem concerning the very fabric of the republic itself. Please. Re-read everything I've said and give it some more consideration. Remember that 'we the people' need your vote. But the 'candidate' Bob Barr doesn't.
JJ I would like to ask you one question and it can be answered yes or no and I would like the yes or no first, then I know you will an explanation for your answer. lol
Is McCain and Obama the best of the best that America can come up with? And if not why doesn't America deserve the best it can do? Sorry that was two questions. LOL
bigdog49094: Yes, or at least apparently so, under these circumstances and at this point in our history, by one gestalt definition, since these are the only viable candidates in the race. But, if asking me if these are the best we can do 'for' our country, the answer is NO. It's pretty clear America is trying, but poisoned. Very sad, but part of it goes back to the damage of the Perot candidacy/Clinton era. It's not about America 'deserving' the best; it's about setting the societal conditions.
Few of us think it's much more logical to vote for the candidate you like the most. Not the candidate who has the greatest chance of winning. If you would rather vote for Bob Barr then I think you should. It's anything but selfish my friend.
BeeRad277: I stongly disagree. It is very selfish, specifically due to the dynamics of this election and what's at stake. We are in a dangerous position; an Obama presidency would undermine the very foundations of our constitution and republic. We simply cannot allow that to happen and we need every single vote to try and stop it. Anything else is a selfish choice that does nothing to defend our liberty; unfortunately, a vote for Barr is a vote for Obama. McCain is the only choice.
mcbluefire: Did you read all of it? Or just the last part? Please read it all... Obviously, McCain is not our ideal, but it's not about the 'lesser' of two evils - it's about the impact (which would not be minor) on the republic. I know it is sub-optimal, but we have to fight with what we have right now. A vote for Barr is a vote for Obama; we need you to fight with the republic, not against it.
Your logic is flawed because you think McCain would be a better choice than Obama. There is nearly no difference between the two. They both ignore the Constitution when it is convenient for them. I am voting my heart and mind. Lib or Constitution party. To do anything else is to undermine the republic and my soul.
mcbluefire: McCain would be an infinitely better choice than Obama. There is a vast difference in leaning ideologies. This myth that people all act the same under the same pressure is killing the republic. Re-read my posts. Even liberal Bush geve us decent justices; and not everyone is as easily bought/controlled as everyone else; each has there own susceptibility. Obama is infinitely worse than McCain; a vote for Barr is a vote for Obama and against the republic. We the people need your vote.
tingtangs: First, I do not support Fascism; read my posts. Second, if you learn the first thing about history and policy, you'll quickly realize that it is (and has been) the Democrats destroying the economy, through both their ideologies and policies (in deference to the GOP trying to save it). If you'll recall, until the Dems took control of congress the economy was in a growth phase; a few Dem bills were all that was needed (very bad ones too). The Dems have a horrible totalitarian agenda.

Although we love Barr, we need to make sure that Obama has no chance to get to the white house. I think that Barr has a role to play in our politics and our lives. But, Barr, let'a elect McCain, let's make sure that our country remains American!
McCainDemocrat: Agreed. We cannot afford an Obama victory. We need Bob to help us, not fight against us. If he cares at all about the republic and the people he will stand and fight with us. He will leave the race and fight with us. Obama would be a terrible disaster.
Well JJ if a Democrat or a Republican wins America will lose, but I do understand your idea of trying to minimize losses. Sorry but I have to look at myself in the mirror when I shave everyday and so I will vote BOB BARR just to keep the guy in my mirror and his conscious clean. But feel free to disagree with any Barr policy you hate and why you hate it. Is still America for at least a little while.
bigdog49094: You need to think of the republic first, before your conscious. You are playing with the future of our very liberty. Please think. You conscious will never be clean if you help elect that socialist leftist; this race is a close one now between two front runners; a vote for Bob is a vote for Obama, that will be on your conscious.
JJ my conscious was clean when I voted for Perot the only candidate that did not want to ship jobs out of America with NAFTA. And now when a Dem or Rep complains about no jobs in America I can say it was not my fault that 80% of Americans voted to have the jobs shipped out of the country. I thought about my country when I voted Perot I will think America when I vote Barr and not my fault that no one else thinks of America.
bigdog49094: Not true. You have alot of power in your vote. There are other issues required to sustain the republic; leaning ideologies are important. Clinton took office because Perot got 20% of the vote. Clinton then rode an economic upswing set up by the GOP and w/ a GOP congress, wrongly taking credit for the economy. Now, the mass media has been constantly using that as propaganda! That vote for Perot was a huge mistake, and a vote for Barr is an EVEN bigger mistake.
bigdog49094: continued... the reason it is an even bigger mistake, is becuase at this point in our countries history, we are on the brink of completely losing the republic.
JJ panic is a nice issue but I think the end of this republic for all intents and purposes is between 10 and 20 years off. I could be wrong but America has dodged many bullets it should not have been able to. And Obama or McCain will put us closer to the ditch we won't be in the ditch yet either way.
bigdog49094: It's not about panic, and it's not about whether it's 10 years or 20 years off; its the erosion of the republic along the path and the sate of affairs that will ensue. I don't think you appreciate how gravely important this particular election is.
Well when Perot got 20% of the vote and it put the Republicans out for the first time in years the Republicans started to talk about real issues. So if we got the Republicans onto real issues for just even a minute it was not wasted.
bigdog49094:That's not true. Regan & GOP worked hard to build a stable and growing economy. They didn't start to talk. The radical left is using the Dems as a tool and using their media influence to spin the economic success of the 90s as a Dem success and propaganda piece, when Clinton's econ policies were actually staved-off as much as possible until they finally caught up at the end of his term, and crashed us. This type of leftist propaganda is killing our liberty.
bigdog49094: This is much, much different. There will be nothing to check the radical left power in both houses and the presidency, and most importantly, the justices. We are in a very different place then we were then.
Mccain is a Globalist Moderate Liberal phony, he is not a true Conservative . Its amazing how the Criminal main media in USA totally ignores everyone except the Dem and Repubs.
This election tell the Media , who hates and despises the Avg Citizen anyway, FUCK YOU ! Show them you refuse to put in the box they are trying to put you in, the Medias goal is to Make everyone a Moron , by Debating whos tie is more colorful obamas or Mccains and other nonsense.
Fuck mcstain and his cunt palin. He was a lousy soldier who got caught. He would make an even worse president. Not to mention he is an old fucker. Palin and her tramp kid need to learn to keep their legs closed
Obama wiped off all of his opponents in Chicago by the same method. We have watched Obama grandstand for attention, knowing he is not the substance we need. This is also an attempt to grandstand, and our national security just cannot afford any more grandstanders!
I not voting for you, but damn. I think you and many other party's candidates should have the right to bring your platform and debates in front of those who are voting. Ever thought of getting Gravel, Ron Paul, Nader, & any other 3rd party candidate I haven't mentioned to push this publicly? It's not fair.
please type in 1 million impeach, get the link off my channel and send it around fast..time is short..BRING THE BOYS HOME NOW..same petition..type in bobb barr bill of rights too..scary
Here's a pragmatic reason to vote for the Libertarian candidates in a race in which he has no realistic chance of winning: giving the LP candidate enough support so that they are eligible for federal matching funds in the next election; also, establishing a firm base for others to build upon
The fact of the matter is John McCain's actions in this matter are fascist. Pure and simple fascism. Whether or not you agree with Bob Barr is a completely different matter, but we still owe it to ourselves to speak out against the obvious tyranny of the McCain campaign. If major party candidates are allowed to forcibly remove their third party opponent's names from the ballot, then their actions exhibit a view of America that makes us no better than Stalinist Russia or North Korea.
No offense to anyone I also think there are better choices out there, I would gladly vote for this Barr guy or Ron Paul before voting for any of the two candidates we have, but let's be honest they (Barr, Paul, etc) don't have a chance so, instead of wasting my vote voting for someone who will not win I will take the lesser of two evils and vote for Obama, that's just me though but I recommend we all do the same, otherwise it's another 4 years of imperialistic rule. Cheers =)
No its not just you. That's a lot of peoples' mindset when it comes to voting. "Vote for the people who have the chance of winning". FUCK that. That gives the media more power in determining who wins.
I always considered a wasted vote one that simply continues the current trends, which is what Obama and McCain will do. Neither of them is worth their weight in saliva.
Better to vote for someone who you truly believe in and represents your values and Loose, than to vote for someone who you dont believe in and trust and win, as they will just betray you anyway.
The only wasted vote is one for people who you dont believe in. Lets all work hard to encourage everyone we know to vote 3rd Party, its the only thing to save this country that we can do.
We all have the power to change this country, 1 vote at a time. Barr is Fantastic
2connection, I agree wholeheartedly. I feel nothing for the two "major" candidates. I'm excited about Bob Barr and Wayne Root. I know it's unlikely they'll win, but at least my conscience will be clear. I loved this video; that b.s. in PA is a perfect way to show the "Grand" Old Party's hypocrisy.
Remember, the real goal is for Barr to get enough support and votes to MAKE the media now finally pay attention and respect 3rd Parties and the 2 Party system to FINALLY include 3rd parties in the National televised debates.
No 3rd party candidate has any chance of winning UNLESS they be permitted to participate in those debates. So our main goal is not yet victory , but more realistically, to get enough votes so that the next election we can get in the debates, than we are close
man thiers no way im voting for a guy who owns 9 houses and thinks americas doing just fine and theirs no way im voting for a guy that has a wife thats got millions and then lies on tv about how their familys just a buncha regular joes
and it dont matter cause diebolds got all the machines
voteing you might as well do something useful with your day and go to the lake and fly a kite seriously.
No person should be removed from the ballot even (dare I say) if that peron is proved to be a racist. The right to vote is the right to vote for whoever you feel is best for the job.
People always seem to explain how "We have a two party system so live with it", It may be true but we also have an "ELECTORAL COLLEGE" not popular vote. Solid Red States= UT, WY, KS, ID, NE, OK, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, or SC, there is NO WAY you will spoil election,if you vote your conscience. Small parties need at least 5% of vote to gain extra money for next elections. If you live in a Swing state, THEN stick to the two parties, as your vote is the only one that actually matters in this system.
eww John Mcrazy is so old he couldnt see why those kids love cinnamon toast crunch its the taste you can see for us for McCrazy its the taste you cant see without your glasses BOB BARR 08' MCRAZY SUCKS HES OLD AND NASTY AND HE IS A FREAK JOHN MCCAIN HAS ALTZHEIMERS AND COULDNT FIND THE BACK OF HIS HAND WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE HIS GREAT GREAT GRANDSON MCCRAZY ITS TIME FOR YOU TO GO IN A RETIREMENT HOME AND HAVE A HEART ATTACK
You say that you'd love to vote for him but it wouldn't make a difference. It doesn't matter who you vote for between McCain or Obama, the voting system is rigged. Remember the last two presidential elections. Vote for Barr if for nothing else, it let's you know that you didn't vote for a douche bag or a turd sandwich.
as much as i would love for barr to win..its not realistic, he is clearly the best choice for america but if we alow obama to be elected our nation will sufer. we need to pick the lesser of the two evils and vote for john mccain or we will be sorry
Unfortunately your attitude is the same as everyone elses, and for THAT reason Bob Barr wont win. Think about it, if everyone who thought the same way you do decided to vote for who they thought would be the best anyway, he'd have a shot.
People tend to view voting as there own personal contest, where if the person you voted for wins, somehow you win. That's bullshit, voting is about your voice being heard.
I'm voting Bob Barr and if he's not elected I can hold my head high and say I voted for who I believed in, instead of saying "Well I voted for the lesser of two evils and my candidate won. That's 4 years of shame you'll be tasting.
I couldn't agree with you more. Thats what I've been telling my parents and my VERY LIBERAL aunt. I refuse to vote for either the Republicans or the Democrats this year because neither candidate is worthy of the office that they seek.I wish more registered voters had the intelligence as you, then Bob Barr will win in November. Now, lets do all that we can to get Bob Barr in the Presidential Debates.
I agree with you, but the problem is the masses don't see it that way. If you don't vote for Obama (and your white) your rascist. If you don't vote for McCain your liberal. If you vote for Barr your a nutjob. I'm not a nutjob, just informed, BOB BARR 2008!!
You can sign up on their website. It used to be free for membership but now its like $20 a year but you get a subscription to LP magazine. I am unsure of how many members there are.
This is the very reason that I refuse to vote for either the Democratic or the Republican candidates in this election. Neither candidate has any solutions for all the problems that has aroused during the last eight years under George W. Bush. This frivolous lawsuit by the McCain camp is just another example of the two-party system at work. I'm positive that the Obama camp will do something similar as well. I urge all who see this to cast your support for Bob Barr in November.
Since Ron Paul was a primary candidate he is legally not eligible to be a write-in candidate. If you write in Paul it will just be ignored by election authorities - like the the thousands of people that write in "mickey mouse" or whatever. No one will record write-in votes for Ron. Even though I am Ron Paul supporter I will vote for Barr because I at least want my vote to be counted as part of a statistic somewhere.
Only people that submitted a "declaration of write-in candidacy" (which Ron didn't do) and did not participate in the primary are eligible to be write-ins. The two parties don't want any competition between their candidates so they legislate away potential competitors. I'm not saying it's right but it is the law - Google it.
"Since Ron Paul was a primary candidate he is legally not eligible to be a write-in candidate."
It actually depends on the individual state. Nine or ten states have the law you refer to. I'm pissed off to learn that I'm not going to be able to write in "Doug Stanhope" though, as Ohio requires write-in candidates to file. Hopefully Ron Paul does file then. Barring that (heh) I may have to vote for Bob Barr or just not vote for a president.
Just vote Barr. Even Ron Paul said the message is more important than himself - any write-ins for Paul will just be swept under the rug as "loonies," but lifting another party will definitely push politics in a better direction, if only through fear.
Bob Barr says McCain is trying to keep Bob Barr off the ballot. Bob Barr speaks in third person, and so I would vote for Bob Barr.
How much Barr could a Bob Barr, Barr, if a Bob Barr could Barr Barr?
A Bob Barr would Barr how much Barr a Bob Barr could Barr Barr!
Ok I'm being silly. I would totally vote for him over Obama now that Ron Paul has dropped out. What are people thinking? Obama wouldn't recognize or know what the Constitution is if it walked up to him and gave him a reach around.
Dear Wildcath, when Bob Barr voted for the Patriot Act without reading it, he committed treason, which is a capital crime just like murder. In my book, he gets the noose. He could plead stupidity, cowardice or retardation, but he still gets the noose. The NeoCons have murdered millions and the Communistic Brezinski Gang (Obama)will kill millions. The only way to stop them is to stand behind those who are willing to live or die, upholding their oath of office. Sic Semper Tyrannis
I was also a neo-con, I "woke-up" recently and realized my wrongs, if you are not willing to let those of us who come to the freedom tent a little later than you did - the movement will die.
In this election we get a choice between a socialist and a fake conservative warmonger. I wish people would wake up to the libertarian party, that's the kind of change we really need
i agree, it seems to me that a lot of people fail to recognize that there are more people running for president other then mccain and obama (or do not care enough to research it). It is hard to understand why people would not want to vote for a man who wants to limit the over intruding government.
This is newsworthy! I hope Barr's people sent press releases to all the networks and newspapers. The true McCain revealed. He likes to shut people up. Oh yeah, he's gave us McCain-Feingold. But he's so much more of an "American" than Obama...believes in the Constitution and all that. Not.
I'm a Conservative Republican & was a Ron Paul delegate at our state Republican Convention.
Now, I'll probably vote for Barack/Biden.
But I still might vote for Barr. I didn't approve of him supporting impeachment on Clinton (if I recall correctly Barr had some sexaul indiscretions himself).
Anyway, if I can start believing Barr is serious about restoring our Const & getting us our of Iraq quickly I'd sure consider voting for him.

Since Bob Barr voted for the Patriot Act and hangs with the Global Warming crowd, I could never vote for him. He might say that he changed his mind about that vote but I might add that Benedict Arnold might have changed his mind about treason. Its still treason, though.
I hope YOU will run again Bob Barr. I did not even get to see you last time!

TwinMountain 3 years ago
Do I object to his name? I think it is downright stupid to elect a man who attended a Madrassah during a Jihad.
Is this ALL I object to about Hussein Obama? Not by a LONG shot. I also object to Marxists being elected to the highest political office in the land. "A Marxist!" you say. Yeah. A Marxist. He wants to "spread the wealth around". He feels social security should be there "for those who NEED it". A Marxist.
Any of this ringing any bells?

22KingRat 3 years ago 4
I second your motion. A vote for Barr is not wasted. It is a step toward personal liberty on all levels and peace in our lifetime. Don't fall for the "I'm voting for McCain because I dislike Obama" trap. Only a Libertarian can offer a true platform of social and economic tolerance, something desperately needed in these times. Only a Libertarian is philosophically bound to oppose financial and social aggression. A Libertarian respects YOU and the decisions YOU make with YOUR life. Barr 2008!

Tenche 3 years ago 2
Tenche: Not good enough. You are helping to destroy all of what we hold valuable in our republic, and for what? So you can "say" something like that or make a selfish vote? Bob Barr doesn't need your vote! 'We the people' need your vote. A vote for Barr is a vote for Obama and against the Republic; Regardless of the leftist leanings of both, the leading ideologies are significantly different and very important. Think justices; McCain is the only choice.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
Let me get this straight, you're saying we should vote for McCain, who basically is nothing more than 4 more years of Bush? And for what, to keep collectivists like you from panicking? We should have thrown both parties out after the travesties of Vietnam and Nixon. That was our chance to save the republic. I will not vote democrat or republican this year. I made that mistake three times, and will never do so again.
Homer177 3 years ago 3
Homer177: "Collectivists like me?" Huh? You are missing the point, and you are making one of the worst mistakes in history, period. Barr doesn't need your vote; we the people do. You are going to help all three branches of government go hard-left and steamroll the republic and all of libery. You have to think.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
You sound a lot like the Borg from Star Trek. Seriously, your whole 'Resistance is Futile' attitude will cause this 'Republic' to become no more than a mere puppet state, if it hasn't already. I will not vote for McCain, no matter how much you think doing so will save the 'republic'.
Homer177 3 years ago 4
homer177: Ha!
JJCarbon 3 years ago
Liberty doesn't mean a damn thing unless you have independence. A vote for either McCain or Obama is a vote for a totalitarian forced theocracy. Wow, talk about paradox: It's not forced if people like you beg for it.
"Those who would trade liberty for security shall be denied both, and deserve neither." -Benjamin Franklin
Homer177 3 years ago 2
The Gravity of this particular election is indeed great, which is why Bob Barr must get as many votes as possible. McCain is hostile to free markets, civil liberties and freedom of speech. He is dumb enough to think that bailouts help rather than injure the economy.
The utterly vicious way in which his people treated Ron Paul supporters and delegates, as well as the protesters in Minnesota are all you need to know about him.
He doesn't give a damn about you, your family or your community.

tingtangs: There's not much worse for the Republic than Obama. He would destroy the U.S. Constitution. He is a far left, anti-Constitutional, socialist totalitarian. Bush inherited a crashed market from Clinton (thriving before Clinton due to a GOP congress). But, it's Bush behaving like a Dem that caused problems; and worse now that Democrats control congress.

bigdog49094: The principle here is the republic. Voting for Bob does nothing but fight against the republic. We need every vote we can get. do you understand why voting for McCain is the only principled choice? I would rather vote for Bob, but I can't let my selfishness get in the way of the republic.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
Well JJ what I have here is two people calling me stupid, Obama and McCain and McCain wants me to vote for him because he thinks I am less stupid than Obama does. Well let me have my one minute of freedom voting for Bob so it will sweeten the four years of slavery I have to look forward to.
bigdog49094 3 years ago 2
bigdog49094: and about your 'people calling you stupid' commet. Think.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
Have thought about it and still can't do it. JJ a vote for the lesser of two Evils is still a vote for evil but I respect your right to do what you think is right. Would respect it more tho if ppl who vote for McCain or Obama would attack Bob Barr on the issues but they do not attack his stance on the issues. To me the issues are important and most US voters esp men are worried about if they can get the Obama girl in their bed or Palin in their in their bed and is about as far as they think.
bigdog49094 3 years ago
bigdog49094: It's not about voting for the lesser of two evils - it's about voting to save the republic.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
JJ I would like to ask you one question and it can be answered yes or no and I would like the yes or no first, then I know you will an explanation for your answer. lol
Is McCain and Obama the best of the best that America can come up with? And if not why doesn't America deserve the best it can do? Sorry that was two questions. LOL
bigdog49094 3 years ago
bigdog49094: Yes, or at least apparently so, under these circumstances and at this point in our history, by one gestalt definition, since these are the only viable candidates in the race.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
Few of us think it's much more logical to vote for the candidate you like the most. Not the candidate who has the greatest chance of winning. If you would rather vote for Bob Barr then I think you should. It's anything but selfish my friend.
BeeRad277 3 years ago
BeeRad277: I stongly disagree. It is very selfish, specifically due to the dynamics of this election and what's at stake. We are in a dangerous position; an Obama presidency would undermine the very foundations of our constitution and republic. We simply cannot allow that to happen and we need every single vote to try and stop it. Anything else is a selfish choice that does nothing to defend our liberty; unfortunately, a vote for Barr is a vote for Obama. McCain is the only choice.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
Aye, because McCain would never vote for any legislation that is unconstitutional. /sarcasm off
mcbluefire 3 years ago
mcbluefire: Did you read all of it? Or just the last part? Please read it all... Obviously, McCain is not our ideal, but it's not about the 'lesser' of two evils - it's about the impact (which would not be minor) on the republic. I know it is sub-optimal, but we have to fight with what we have right now. A vote for Barr is a vote for Obama; we need you to fight with the republic, not against it.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
Your logic is flawed because you think McCain would be a better choice than Obama. There is nearly no difference between the two. They both ignore the Constitution when it is convenient for them. I am voting my heart and mind. Lib or Constitution party. To do anything else is to undermine the republic and my soul.
mcbluefire 3 years ago
mcbluefire: McCain would be an infinitely better choice than Obama.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
JJCarbon: An Obama victory would be a disaster?
FASCISM in the form of the Repugnicans suing politcal opponents is not a disaster?
McCain's party has destroyed the economy. Now they have come full circle, and exposed themselves as FASCISTS:
Why do you support fascism, JJCarbon?
tingtangs 3 years ago
tingtangs: First, I do not support Fascism; read my posts.

McCainDemocrat: Agreed. We cannot afford an Obama victory. We need Bob to help us, not fight against us. If he cares at all about the republic and the people he will stand and fight with us. He will leave the race and fight with us. Obama would be a terrible disaster.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
Well JJ if a Democrat or a Republican wins America will lose, but I do understand your idea of trying to minimize losses. Sorry but I have to look at myself in the mirror when I shave everyday and so I will vote BOB BARR just to keep the guy in my mirror and his conscious clean. But feel free to disagree with any Barr policy you hate and why you hate it. Is still America for at least a little while.
bigdog49094 3 years ago 2
bigdog49094: You need to think of the republic first, before your conscious. You are playing with the future of our very liberty. Please think. You conscious will never be clean if you help elect that socialist leftist; this race is a close one now between two front runners; a vote for Bob is a vote for Obama, that will be on your conscious.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
JJ my conscious was clean when I voted for Perot the only candidate that did not want to ship jobs out of America with NAFTA. And now when a Dem or Rep complains about no jobs in America I can say it was not my fault that 80% of Americans voted to have the jobs shipped out of the country. I thought about my country when I voted Perot I will think America when I vote Barr and not my fault that no one else thinks of America.
bigdog49094 3 years ago
bigdog49094: Not true.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
bigdog49094: continued... the reason it is an even bigger mistake, is becuase at this point in our countries history, we are on the brink of completely losing the republic.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
JJ panic is a nice issue but I think the end of this republic for all intents and purposes is between 10 and 20 years off. I could be wrong but America has dodged many bullets it should not have been able to. And Obama or McCain will put us closer to the ditch we won't be in the ditch yet either way.
bigdog49094 3 years ago
bigdog49094: It's not about panic, and it's not about whether it's 10 years or 20 years off; its the erosion of the republic along the path and the sate of affairs that will ensue. I don't think you appreciate how gravely important this particular election is.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
Well when Perot got 20% of the vote and it put the Republicans out for the first time in years the Republicans started to talk about real issues. So if we got the Republicans onto real issues for just even a minute it was not wasted.
bigdog49094 3 years ago
bigdog49094:That's not true.
JJCarbon 3 years ago
bigdog49094: This is much, much different. There will be nothing to check the radical left power in both houses and the presidency, and most importantly, the justices. We are in a very different place then we were then.

The fact of the matter is John McCain's actions in this matter are fascist. Pure and simple fascism. Whether or not you agree with Bob Barr is a completely different matter, but we still owe it to ourselves to speak out against the obvious tyranny of the McCain campaign. If major party candidates are allowed to forcibly remove their third party opponent's names from the ballot, then their actions exhibit a view of America that makes us no better than Stalinist Russia or North Korea.

medtrans9 3 years ago 2
Remember, the real goal is for Barr to get enough support and votes to MAKE the media now finally pay attention and respect 3rd Parties and the 2 Party system to FINALLY include 3rd parties in the National televised debates.
No 3rd party candidate has any chance of winning UNLESS they be permitted to participate in those debates. So our main goal is not yet victory , but more realistically, to get enough votes so that the next election we can get in the debates, than we are close

No person should be removed from the ballot even (dare I say) if that peron is proved to be a racist. The right to vote is the right to vote for whoever you feel is best for the job.
Fuck the Repulicans.

This is really funny...definitely sophomoric but funny nonetheless! Barr 2008, get rid of the republicrats.
johnnywbred 3 years ago
You say that you'd love to vote for him but it wouldn't make a difference. It doesn't matter who you vote for between McCain or Obama, the voting system is rigged. Remember the last two presidential elections. Vote for Barr if for nothing else, it let's you know that you didn't vote for a douche bag or a turd sandwich.
601373 3 years ago
as much as i would love for barr to win..its not realistic, he is clearly the best choice for america but if we alow obama to be elected our nation will sufer. we need to pick the lesser of the two evils and vote for john mccain or we will be sorry
vts101 3 years ago
Unfortunately your attitude is the same as everyone elses, and for THAT reason Bob Barr wont win. Think about it, if everyone who thought the same way you do decided to vote for who they thought would be the best anyway, he'd have a shot.
People tend to view voting as there own personal contest, where if the person you voted for wins, somehow you win. That's bullshit, voting is about your voice being heard.
terinbune 3 years ago 2
I'm voting Bob Barr and if he's not elected I can hold my head high and say I voted for who I believed in, instead of saying "Well I voted for the lesser of two evils and my candidate won. That's 4 years of shame you'll be tasting.
terinbune 3 years ago 6
I wish I could vote so I could do the same.
Juhsayngul 3 years ago
I'm either voting Bob Barr, or writing in Ron Paul for the same reason.

24klc67 3 years ago
I agree with you, but the problem is the masses don't see it that way. If you don't vote for Obama (and your white) your rascist. If you don't vote for McCain your liberal. If you vote for Barr your a nutjob. I'm not a nutjob, just informed, BOB BARR 2008!!

I wonder how many members does the libertarian party has and how do they recruit, if not they are rolling a dice?
dan020350 3 years ago
You can sign up on their website. It used to be free for membership but now its like $20 a year but you get a subscription to LP magazine. I am unsure of how many members there are.
abcdefg4397 3 years ago
This is the very reason that I refuse to vote for either the Democratic or the Republican candidates in this election. Neither candidate has any solutions for all the problems that has aroused during the last eight years under George W. Bush. This frivolous lawsuit by the McCain camp is just another example of the two-party system at work. I'm positive that the Obama camp will do something similar as well. I urge all who see this to cast your support for Bob Barr in November.
24klc67 3 years ago
Since Ron Paul was a primary candidate he is legally not eligible to be a write-in candidate. If you write in Paul it will just be ignored by election authorities - like the the thousands of people that write in "mickey mouse" or whatever. No one will record write-in votes for Ron. Even though I am Ron Paul supporter I will vote for Barr because I at least want my vote to be counted as part of a statistic somewhere.
windward619 3 years ago
What? Because RP was a primary candidate he is not legally eligible for a write in? Who the heck would be if not a primary canidate?
anyusmoon1 3 years ago
Only people that submitted a "declaration of write-in candidacy" (which Ron didn't do) and did not participate in the primary are eligible to be write-ins. The two parties don't want any competition between their candidates so they legislate away potential competitors. I'm not saying it's right but it is the law - Google it.
windward619 3 years ago
Interesting! Thanks for the heads up. I will look it up and if what you say is true about Dr. Paul's 'filing type' I will be very, VERY disappointed.
You from the islands?
anyusmoon1 3 years ago
"Since Ron Paul was a primary candidate he is legally not eligible to be a write-in candidate."
It actually depends on the individual state. Nine or ten states have the law you refer to. I'm pissed off to learn that I'm not going to be able to write in "Doug Stanhope" though, as Ohio requires write-in candidates to file. Hopefully Ron Paul does file then. Barring that (heh) I may have to vote for Bob Barr or just not vote for a president.

Senator Mccain Vs. candidate Mccain are two different creatures. So sad this guy changed his position on everything to win the GOP nomination.
Barr 08.
danyeasy 3 years ago 2
I'm writing in Ron Paul, not that it really matters, damn the state.
CorollaKing 3 years ago
Just vote Barr. Even Ron Paul said the message is more important than himself - any write-ins for Paul will just be swept under the rug as "loonies," but lifting another party will definitely push politics in a better direction, if only through fear.
shaunak84 3 years ago 3
MethMojimbo 3 years ago 3
LOL!!! and I agree with everything you just said :-D

My plan was to write in Ron Paul. He dropped out, yet people still want to write him in.
Bob Barr is another great candidate. If he's running and Ron Paul isn't, I say vote for Bob Barr!
Spread the word for people to research these people.
There are some real candidates for Presidency! And they're not the crap mainstream candidates that we're given the choice between.
We need third party candidates - I've found them to be far more qualified to do a good job!
GimbleTheWizard 3 years ago 3
A write in vote doesnt count in most states. So if someone writes in Ron Paul the vote doesnt count.

Unfortunately the partisans and pundits only see things in black and white.
chevydriver1123 3 years ago
i agree, it seems to me that a lot of people fail to recognize that there are more people running for president other then mccain and obama (or do not care enough to research it).

Not.

McCain is going down.

McCain? -- NO WAY IN HELL!

You're right. Bill Clinton shouldn't have been impeached; he should have been indicted.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Since Bob Barr voted for the Patriot Act and hangs with the Global Warming crowd, I could never vote for him. He might say that he changed his mind about that vote but I might add that Benedict Arnold might have changed his mind about treason. Its still treason, though.
