Ambivalence is watching your mother-in-law drive off the cliff in your new car. That's how I feel about 4 Leaf Clover. Years before I ever heard the Goldkette record, I heard a later version by Art Mooney. It was very popular, so popular that, when our 1st grade teacher had us all take turns singing a song, 40 kids in the class stood up, one after another, and sang 4 Leaf Clover. After that, I could never stand the song. Years later, as a Bix collector, I found this. I was (am) ambivalent.
OMG - This song never grows old used to be played and sung and still is despite the modern "crap" we call music today which is nothing but noise with bad voices off key!
Yet another delightful version of this old favorite. I once actually found a 4-leaf clover and pressed it in my childhood copy of "The Arabian Nights." Don't know what
The pictures don't all fit the time period of the song. Nevertheless, an enjoyable video. Thanks!
