the visitor is by the same guy as this... his name is zeebarf. and the red guys ARE from the visitor. they first show up in the reemus series in chapter 2. they are called "death slugs"

Zeebarf obviously wants revenge for being killed back in "Visitor", so he's creating an army to destroy earth as well as the galaxy...
