interpol have a repetitive sound, the cure has a repetitive sound,

it only becomes a problem when say the melody for one song is used for every other song and then made to sound as if its different by changing the lyrics. i know of one band, every time i hear the intro, i don't if its this song or that song.

my only gripe with interpol now is paul banks, i wish he was still the munchkin he used to be, :)

Regarding all these angry comments: yes, I have seen Interpol give a poor performance. No, I don't fault the band for it. Banks' voice has a tendency to wear out on tour, and that's unfortunate, but hardly his fault. It doesn't mean they're not a fantastic band. It doesn't mean they haven't made some of the best music this decade. I hope that Banks' does not shred his voice any further on long tours, because I want to be able to hear him for years to come. His voice is irreplacable.

out of the 200 odd bands i've seen Interpol have provided the best live set at a gig and the festival set too. a truly amazing band, head and shoulders above the competition. Seeing them playing Alexandra Palace in Blackpool was utterly spectacular.
