Wow, that was an intense boss fight. Like most others, I got the stupid new chip so I was in trouble from the start. It took me probably 25 minutes to beat him. What I did was stay in the corner and when I saw him I shot him with the revolver with explosive rounds. After I ran out of those I kept up with that tactic with the shotgun. Just don't give up, hit and run and eventually he will go down.
I turned invisible and tazed him to death. Then I dragged his mangled ugly muscled aug corpse to Megan demanding to know if this was the sissy that stopped her from calling to say she was safe. WOULD HAVE SAVED ME A LOT OF TIME SWEETHEART! WOMEN!
I used the method of running towards him and punching him at the very start, just right at the moment he becomes visible again when jumping over that wall. Instant win with ONE punch!
Easiest way i could think of is using rocket launcher you get from Tong(when rescuing his sons, but I think that's a bonus mission on preorder version). It takes 4 rockets to kill him on "give me a challenge". He's dead in like 5 seconds, pretty lame I know, but it works the same even when your crippled.
There's an easier way to win this battle, and all the other boss battles as well. Just stockpile frag mines whenever you find them and don't use them until the boss fights. Toss one immediately and it should explode and stun them, allowing you to keep tossing mines at their feet. Each boss only takes a few mines.
@PooFaceMcButt I also beat him with a similar strategy. You can also just shoot him while he's stunned, run away then use a mine again. So I only needed three mines to kill him. A frag grenade may work just as well if you aim it right. This was the only way I could beat him since I had the bio-chip as well as no aiming upgrades and no launcher type weapons.

Then when I finally beat him, I heard his last line and completely changed my opinion on him. Just as tragic a character as Adam, and I suddenly felt really bad for killing him. The Namir fight is pretty easy even on hard actually. Only one thing required: EXPLOSIVES!!! I threw two frag grenades and shot him with my grenade launcher three times. Fight only lasted 6 seconds. Of course, I have the grenade launcher becos I pre-ordered the game and got the Rescue Tracer Tong mission.
that's how you defeat him: make sure you've got two energy cells loaded, throw an emp grenade, close in on namir while firing the assault rifle, activate typhoon, after that typhoon again. thats enough

Every boss fight in this game is extremely easy, I am on my 4th play through on the hardest setting each time. All you have to do is pick up the wall mines from boss to boss and throw them at the bosses, they get disoriented and die after a couple mines and you wont even get shot.
Why did so many players install the F'ed up chip? I was like this is deus ex, and you had been warned to trust nobody by that AI from picus. Then they said it was optional to get the new and improved chip, and I was like, yeah right, i'm not failing for that one, FU. Then in this scene i was like, yeah bitch, In your face! Very cool stuff this, a game where you get rewarded to think for your self instead of blindly following the objectives.

Checking your list or not theres no way that is on "hard". He died way too easily and did not have the same hectic movment as I have seen each one of my playthroughs.
@ffssdd666 Meh saw it but honestly is still hard to believe that he went down that fast even with a fully upgraded weapon like that it would take a bit more but then again what do I know both my current plays are done stealthy and I have very different augs and weapons.

@ffssdd666 Lol I just played it through on "Give me Deus Ex" and the first 5 times I died... Then I just unloaded a clip of grenades from launcher into his face and he died even easier than in this video. Took about 5 seconds with an emp and 6 grenades to the face. Easiest boss fight ever,
@analogmarz Right now, I got all of the dermal armour upgrades, invisibility, full rechrage on batteries, fast sprint as combat augments. What augments did you have?
I'm pretty sure this isnt on the hardeest difficulty, on hard mode he tosses the grenades at the start of the fight every. single. time. at least in augmented edition he does.
You know.. if you do not go to a L.I.M.B. Clinic is Hengsha for the second time, or last time, and reach the mission, you will not be affected by the Kill-switch. This allows you to use your Knockout Abilities =) All you have to do is punch Namir once, and he'll die =)
By the way, when I got to this part, I was so proud of myself for not taking the new biochip in Hengsha! ^^ I knew that it will be "bad for your health" at some point in the game! :D:D:D
3 hits with the UR-DED device, or with frag grenades, and you win (on normal difficulty). These boss battles are just too easy. :( That's how I've dealt with all the bosses, except the last one, but that was pretty easy too. You can finish 'em in under 20-30 seconds. I think Yelena was the hardest boss, but still, I just planted a UR-DED, lured her out to run towards me, and BANG!
this is one fucked up boss battle - you take the Chip and have no grenade launcher- be prepared to spend HOURS trying to get through killing this creep!!!
Holy shit man!!!! You've gotta be kidding me. On normal difficulty this guy took me one try but nearly 30 minutes to beat, with me running out of ammo on every weapon before finally taking him down with the Double Barrel. I had the same combat rifle upgrades as you but didn't realize how you could simply blind fire and have the targeting system still work. On top of that, I didn't even get the replacement chip!! Man you're good
I was ready for every boss with my typhoon but i got the new chip that disrupts my augs so i had to beat this boss using my halo techniques.. Straffing side to side getting as much bullets in him as i could with my heavy rifle it worked but it took a while.
Honestly didn't think this battle would be as easy as it was for me I just unloaded 5 direct grenade launcher slugs right into his face as soon as the battle started and that finished him off in literally less than 15 seconds lol and Yelena gave me hell for hours haha!
Can someone explain the narrative to me, namer apparently has a normal life with wife and kids, but it is never discussed or revealed? Wth? I got my info from wikis btw I wish the developers put more backstory into the bosses, they were the coolest characters...
So, I've spent roughly 20~ minutes so far fighting this guy. Playing a non lethal playthrough, I cannot beat this guy. I'm forced to save between gunshots and literally using every gun and ammo that you find in this boss room. I ended up giving up, because I simply don't have the firepower to down him. I'm afraid I won't be able to beat the game now aswell wich sucks ass :(
@5thRace Yes I know, but even knowing that I've played through this game with only three weapons so far, the stun gun, P.E.P.S and the tranq rifle. I just don't have the necessary weapons and ammo to down him. As I explain in my previous comment, the guns you can collect during the fight isn't enough either apparently. I'm thinking if just going "fuck it" and lower the difficulty to the easiest just for this damn fight...
when i try to kill him he just tosses grenades, if i tranq him he recovers too fast to change guns, if i shoot him hes like a terminator and doesnt care. how the fuck do you beat something like that...
This guy was easy, got him with my 2nd playthrough. All I did was stun him once when he first runs at you, with my trusty stun gun, then took cover, and just kept sticking my arm out and firing at him with my heavy rifle, it was a breeze, since I had upgraded myself to have no recoil and the gun was upgraded to have no heat, not to mention i had like 600 rounds.
Its funny thing to see another tipe of boss fight when i came in that room that bitch coudn't do that thing to stun me and she scared and run,so i fight with that boos with no difficulties with my sight :)

i beat him with revolver + explosive rounds - just shot the walls near him staying out of LOS. but this method is way easier, just never thought of it. and i have had fully upgraded combat rifle with me :) good job!
the best solution for me was easy.. rake cover .. emp granate emp gr.. etc XD.. take 7-10 granate to bring him down on deus ex .. of course dont forgot some medic.. is mostly suicide what i don it XD

Heh...I was having problems with him until I remembered that I hacked a turret earlier on. So I picked up the turret and brought with me to the level. I didn't really think it would work until I heard gunfire and Namir grunting as I was hiding behind cover. Great game!
@hammysantana Thanks for the tip. I took the new chip because I'm a moron and I was having a hard time with this. It still took a few tries, but with the turret I was able to beat him. Unfortunately, if you take the chip, you can't move the turret once the boss battle starts. I found it worked best to turn the turret to the right immediately after getting out of the elevator. Once the fight started I just hid behind a statue that was further back than the turret and used my pistol too.

And in the FEMA Bunker I hacked the first turret that you see, took it with me and put inside the Boss Fight Arena and when the fight started....well lets just say Barret died within a few seconds.

@hammysantana I read this and ran back to hack that turret and drag it to the elevator. The fight was over almost before it began... dropped the turret right outside the elevator, chucked an EMP mine right against the central glass wall, and when the fight started, I ran around to the other side. Namir jumped on the mine and the turret just unloaded on him, it was hilarious.

Am I the only one that knew not to get the replacement chip? You spend a good chunk of the game getting hints about it.
Also when I fought him I took cover on the dividing wall on the left when you first start. When he throws grenades they go too far to damage you and you only have to worry about him going to far to the left or right. Just shoot him when he jumps over the walls because he leaves himself open when he does. I used my upgraded armor-piercing 10mm to finish him in about 2 minutes.
@Raynor9X9 I thought it couldn't be worse, since the original biochip was glitchy too. Damn, I have to replay so much because of that! Hope Zhao will die slowly and painfully.
I think the chip upgrade is like a steam client update. It fixes something in the now, but will likely break something important later.

I'm pretty sure this isnt on the hardeest difficulty, on hard mode he tosses the grenades at the start of the fight every. single. time. at least in augmented edition he does.

You know.. if you do not go to a L.I.M.B. Clinic is Hengsha for the second time, or last time, and reach the mission, you will not be affected by the Kill-switch. This allows you to use your Knockout Abilities =) All you have to do is punch Namir once, and he'll die =)

3 hits with the UR-DED device, or with frag grenades, and you win (on normal difficulty). These boss battles are just too easy. :( That's how I've dealt with all the bosses, except the last one, but that was pretty easy too. You can finish 'em in under 20-30 seconds. I think Yelena was the hardest boss, but still, I just planted a UR-DED, lured her out to run towards me, and BANG!

Holy shit man!!!! You've gotta be kidding me. On normal difficulty this guy took me one try but nearly 30 minutes to beat, with me running out of ammo on every weapon before finally taking him down with the Double Barrel. I had the same combat rifle upgrades as you but didn't realize how you could simply blind fire and have the targeting system still work. On top of that, I didn't even get the replacement chip!! Man you're good

I was ready for every boss with my typhoon but i got the new chip that disrupts my augs so i had to beat this boss using my halo techniques.. Straffing side to side getting as much bullets in him as i could with my heavy rifle it worked but it took a while.

Honestly didn't think this battle would be as easy as it was for me I just unloaded 5 direct grenade launcher slugs right into his face as soon as the battle started and that finished him off in literally less than 15 seconds lol and Yelena gave me hell for hours haha!

This fight can actually be pretty easy under the right conditions:
-either have a combat rifle, laser rifle or shotgun with enough ammunition to get through the fight.
-DO NOT TAKE THE CHIP
-Have the Smart Vision augment so that you can see him when he is cloaked
-Have the Implanted Rebreather augment, as this will make you immune to gas grenades which he will regularly lob at you.
-Have the EMP Shielding augment, as this will prevent him from draining your energy with EMP grenades.

So, I've spent roughly 20~ minutes so far fighting this guy. Playing a non lethal playthrough, I cannot beat this guy. I'm forced to save between gunshots and literally using every gun and ammo that you find in this boss room. I ended up giving up, because I simply don't have the firepower to down him. I'm afraid I won't be able to beat the game now aswell wich sucks ass :(

@5thRace Yes I know, but even knowing that I've played through this game with only three weapons so far, the stun gun, P.E.P.S and the tranq rifle. I just don't have the necessary weapons and ammo to down him. As I explain in my previous comment, the guns you can collect during the fight isn't enough either apparently. I'm thinking if just going "fuck it" and lower the difficulty to the easiest just for this damn fight...

This guy was easy, got him with my 2nd playthrough. All I did was stun him once when he first runs at you, with my trusty stun gun, then took cover, and just kept sticking my arm out and firing at him with my heavy rifle, it was a breeze, since I had upgraded myself to have no recoil and the gun was upgraded to have no heat, not to mention i had like 600 rounds.

i beat him with revolver + explosive rounds - just shot the walls near him staying out of LOS. but this method is way easier, just never thought of it. and i have had fully upgraded combat rifle with me :) good job!

the best solution for me was easy.. rake cover .. emp granate emp gr.. etc XD.. take 7-10 granate to bring him down on deus ex .. of course dont forgot some medic.. is mostly suicide what i don it XD

Heh...I was having problems with him until I remembered that I hacked a turret earlier on. So I picked up the turret and brought with me to the level. I didn't really think it would work until I heard gunfire and Namir grunting as I was hiding behind cover. Great game!

@hammysantana Thanks for the tip. I took the new chip because I'm a moron and I was having a hard time with this. It still took a few tries, but with the turret I was able to beat him. Unfortunately, if you take the chip, you can't move the turret once the boss battle starts. I found it worked best to turn the turret to the right immediately after getting out of the elevator. Once the fight started I just hid behind a statue that was further back than the turret and used my pistol too.

And in the FEMA Bunker I hacked the first turret that you see, took it with me and put inside the Boss Fight Arena and when the fight started....well lets just say Barret died within a few seconds.

The fight was over almost before it began... dropped the turret right outside the elevator, chucked an EMP mine right against the central glass wall, and when the fight started, I ran around to the other side. Namir jumped on the mine and the turret just unloaded on him, it was hilarious.

Am I the only one that knew not to get the replacement chip? You spend a good chunk of the game getting hints about it.
Also when I fought him I took cover on the dividing wall on the left when you first start. When he throws grenades they go too far to damage you and you only have to worry about him going to far to the left or right. Just shoot him when he jumps over the walls because he leaves himself open when he does. I used my upgraded armor-piercing 10mm to finish him in about 2 minutes.
