  • The egg would cook if you run furmark :p

  • You can do it with a GeForce 590

  • NVIDIA - The Way It's Meant To Be Cooked

  • Just stop that fan...

  • The egg doesn't cook.....

  • I wanna see this done without the heatsink on it ;)

Granted, I'd wait till the card is so out of date it's not worth anything... but I bet it'd grill off just the GPU :P

Think about it: how well do you think a skillet would grill if it had a CPU and heatsink attached to it, keeping it cool?

  • Boeing GTX 480

  • i bet an Radeon can't do that

  • nVidia GeForce: The Way it's Meant to be Grilled

  • jam a pencil into the fan so it will stop then i bet that egg will cook right up ;)

  • aluminum does not conduct heat well. egg would cook in a heart beat if it wasn't for the foil.

  • High tech egg for better diet lol

  • how about reducing the fan speed, then it will get warmer, and it doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner

  • well they run at up to 90*C under full load, so you sir have a magic fermi.

  • That's a huge egg!

  • try crack ur egg into fan

  • is it me or does that egg look fuxken huge? lmao.

  • why dont u try cooking it on gpu

  • yes you can. run Furmark

  • What about if you deactivate the fan? It might give the egg a little more heat to absorb.

  • Foil reflects heat and the heat source is underneath the foil, derp. If you were to put the egg directly on the heatsink though, I think that it would cook at least a little... not to the point of edibility though.

  • cooking with nvidia!

  • mine gets to 70-80 I haven't tried cooking an egg on it though.

  • nvidia the way its meant to be cooked

  • nvidia the way its meant to be cooked

  • How big is that card!

  • This is fake. A GTX 480 would easily cook an egg in seconds when under load.

  • @Jaffer09 yeah if u do it on the pcb

  • Oh man, I'm betting this would work on my old 9800GX2. With a little added dust that thing would reach 100C...

  • its a hight graphic egg

  • YOU HAVE TO SLOW DOWN THE COOLING!

  • this is not even boiled half!!

next tme try with ati ... sure your egg will be roasted up!!!

  • @tinku6565 Are you stuck in HD2xxx times? ATi runs cooler than nVIDIA.

  • My GTX 275 can go 97'c when overclocked (without fan adjustment, max %70). they can go to 105'c easily, so that's nothing really

  • EPiC FAIL

  • fail

  • if you guys are real gamers, the sound wont matter because most of the time your going to have either headphones or ear buds in so you wont hear shit.

  • @wowdevil101 DEFINATELY!

  • 0:43 bip bip bip bip !! #LOL

  • @Goobers200

I have a tower cooler as well, those things aren't noisy at all. Stock coolers mostly produce more sound, my Arctic Freezer Xtreme is very quiet, even my case fans make more sound(and those are quiet too)

  • would could if you put it on the gpu lol

  • To what end? what was the point? its much more fun to fry an egg on a hot womans ass!

  • This give women the excuse not to be in the kitchen.

  • 254 people tried this at home xD

  • ooo jeba mater peče jaja na njoj a ne bi meni dao pederu

  • @dejanpro333 de ba koga jebe

  • they install these into laptops so they can be used as hairdryers as well :)

  • would you buy a grapick card....worth soo much....jus to boil an egg???

    or cook an omlet....:P

  • lol at the end he says you can't boil an egg on a gtx480.

you can't boil an egg without water either :).

bloody computer geeks don't even know how to fry an egg :)

  • This is what a futuristic kitchen is gonna be

  • does'nt look very cooked to me..

  • @014RED Sure.

The GTX 560 and the Radeon HD 6950 - they aren't as good, but a lot more bang for the buck.

The GTX 570 and the Radeon HD 6970 - about the same level as the GTX 480 but often cheaper, they are quiter and generally cooler + draws lesser power.

You can also go for the GTX 580 which is the successor of the GTX 480. But then it would be better to SLi a couple of GTX 560's.

If you are into overclocking, these cards are also considerable better.

  • @014RED That's completely bullshit. Sorry about my language.

There have been released a few high-end cards (including two dual graphics cards) that owns it big time.

However, it's not always about the performance. For the prize of the GTX 480, you can find a lot better performing cards. Also, the GTX 480 gets pretty hot (which makes it hard to overclock) and it draws a lot of unnecessary power.

    View some different benchmarks. Really.

  • @014RED The card kinda blows compared to many other current high-end cards ..

But I assume you are aware of that.

  • Radeon ketchup you mean lol, I run hd 6870 asus : MAX 90degrees celcius low fan speed

  • Been there done that, that's why I now disown Nvidia, with the exception of my zune HD which does get hot at times.

  • Run furmark!

  • @DeepestBlueJ This. The egg would've "boiled" to oblivion with Furmark Xtreme Burner test.

  • @cammz3 you can have a nice rare cooked steak!

  • i actually think that the chicken finishes better using the GTX 580, while the GTX 560 Ti is more for sausages, and the GTX 295 works better for meat stakes, anyway the other day i made a barbeque with an OC'd 8500 GT and it was pretty nice

  • My HD4850 goes over 100C when playing crysis. Still works flawlessly after 3 years of active use. Only downside is that fan sounds more like jet-engine.

  • I've got gainward version and have about 90-100 deg. while he's having 64 ... and yes the card sound like it's going to fly away.

  • мать их заногу зря смотрел

  • Pretty cool

  • Holy crap this guy's dumb.

There isn't meant to be heat on the side of the card.

It's meant to be flat, there is no radiator.

The single fan on the side is a vacuum that forces through the heatsink inside and out the back. The heat's coming from the BACK of the card. That's being generous.

If you really wanted to see what the heat could do, just pour the egg over the bare silicon.

  • You have big fuckin egg yolks in America! Those bastards are huge! They're like domes!

  • I boiled water on a Xenon 360 motherboards GPU sink lol, just a drop but still, thing evaporated instantly.

  • Lol this video failed.

  • uphil = troll

  • I DOWNLOADED CPUz TO FIND OUT ABOUT MY PROCESSOR TO SEE IF ITS OVERCLOCKED AND IT ONLY TOLD ME WHAT I HAVE. I7 980X 3.33 GHz. IS THERE A WAY I CAN FIND OUT IF MY PROCESSOR HAS BEEN OVERCLOCKED?? PLEASE HELP.

  • @uphill248 Its not overclocked, or it would show higher than stock clock speed.

  • @uphill248 Check dxdiag.exe It'll tell you.

  • HI, I HAVE ATI RADEON 5970, IM SUPPOST TO HAVE 2GB. ON THE WEBSITE 'CAN YOU RUN IT', IT SAID THAT MY GRAPHIC CARD HAS ONLY 714.4 MB. WAS I CHEATED? OR IS THIS A WEBSITE ERROR?? PLEASE HELP.

  • @uphill248 broken card get a new one from where you got it

  • @LIONCCCP LOL ITS NOT BROKEN, MY CARD WORKS FIND. ALOT OF PEOPLE HELPED ME WITH WHAT CARD I HAVE. THANX ANYWAY.

  • Use Furmark next time. That more quickly.))))

  • You can fry an egg on an 8800 running DGEMM using an egg frying heat sink. Search YouTube for "Breakfast with your GeForce 8800"

  • Lol

My 460 GTX went to over 75° C with Furmark, with the opened case...

    Maybe it's NOT a 480...?

  • Look at the fucking size of it! lol!

  • should have set the fan speed off.

  • why you can buy a computer if you can't buy a stove.. :p

  • i dare you to eat it :D

  • ja halt mal den kühler runterschreiben und direkt auf den chip tun (-;

  • that egg wasnt done :(

  • Hello sir I would like an EVGAburger and some fermi fries please.

  • @mechwarrior4fan97 Would you like some gtx ketchup with that ?

  • @machielste1 .. gtx ketchup.. haha.. lmao...

  • Fail

  • ...but will it blend?

  • Ohhhhh HA HA HA HA!!!!!! he's really fooking cooking an EGG on his GTX's? LOL!!!!!!!

    hahahaha

  • Im vegetarian

  • @BGReviews1 Go eat your grass and leave the normal people alone.

  • Use Furmark!

  • lol awesome :D

  • U forgot the heatsink compound silicon gel.

  • next time, run furmark and lock the fanspeed to 70%

  • That card's pretty hot ;D

  • why don't u install evga precision, then let the fan sit at only 40% without raise the spped on it??

im sure it will cook the egg..lol

  • TRY TO MAKE A FULL 3 COURSE MEAL NEXT TIME!!!

  • @codmwlover LOL

  • Duh, you figured that out Sherlock? He was trying to boil an Egg. He said so at 3:02.

  • try to make chicken next time

  • @sheenuwithmaria but the egg has to come before the chicken =P

  • Should have used furmark lol I bet the egg would have got nice and fried!

  • try it on the gpu itself

  • Manually turn down the fan...duh!

  • i'm not a genius but if u stick the egg on top of aluminum foil the foil doesn't get THAT hot. actually it's pretty cool to the touch.

  • Comment removed

  • my GTX8800 went up to 90 degrees =( then i died...

  • HOLY SHIT THAT VIDEO CARD IS HUUUGGE LOL

  • This is more like testing whether the card can stay cool enough to 'not' cook an egg... the fans should've been put on automatic first. My 470 gets up to about 90c during the Heaven benchmark.

  • FAKE AND GAY

  • fail ass card, 6870 anyday. B4 you do anything reasearch the 6870!

  • @brainbasher even 6870 in cf wont touch a 480

  • @manyakols9 DO YOUR RESEARCH FANBOY!

  • nice test!

  • Nah dude. Gotta turn the fans off first.

  • use evga precision, make fan go down on 30 and you will get 100 degrees soon :P

  • lazy! why cant you get up off your seat and cook it in a pan like every other american!

  • @SuperEvilSquid Mitsubushi does that to the evo , same engine just face lift, at least nvidia did a knowledge the fact that 9800gt is 250gts unlike some brand which market those goods completely new , im very sure that inside intel there are also higher end unsold core 2 duos being modified and remarketed as i3 processors.

  • @SuperEvilSquid Well ........ its just renaming most likely due to restructuring the company , as long as they dont charge you a premium for the renamed card i dont see why its an underhand tactic , and whats more there's even a new heat sink.

  • try it with Furmark

  • you can put it better on my 5870 overcloked XD

  • that is one big egg omfg dude where did you get it,,?

  • Turn off the fan and download Furmark and take burning test!

  • Turn off the auto speed on the fan! It will boil!

  • i saw a bit of white around the edges, just give it enough time.

  • you should play crysis while your at it lol

  • @SuperEvilSquid Thats only a decision to rename a card......... its not recycling...............

  • Only on xbox 360©®

  • there were 226 nvidia fanboys

  • all nvidia last few years boil hallo.. thats why my last was gt9800 and nevermore.

  • hahah nice :D

  • i ran furmark on my 470 gtx and temperature went up 90 C degree did i install it wrong

  • @anhtransport No its normal for it, it has some heat issues..

  • @anhtransport well thank you good sir

  • @anhtransport Furmark tests a video card a lot more than games do, that is why there are so many warnings.

  • I've just realized how big the graphics card is. :S

  • sorry but 75 degrees is required to cook an egg, so maybe a quick OC and fan reduction will in theory do it, hope this hasn't posted more than once

I can donate a 260GTX to science if you can let me have an email address or something.

"If a Cat lands on its feet when dropped from a height, and buttered toast lands butterside down... is it possible to create anti gravity by attaching a large peice of buttered toast to the back of a cat?" Lol!

  • OMG a GTX 480 BBQ :P

  • Noisy as hell...

  • @Jnkeps dude the fans practically getting more power then the gpu

  • @SonySasuke it takes hardly any power to make a fan work.

  • your egg looks huge~ im hungry

  • Figured that the cooking an egg on 480 was BS, every vid i have seen you can not even see the card, so i always call BS. All you people bitching get over your ATI Fanboys self.

  • lol evry1..use ur graphics card for cooking..instead of stove...

  • shouldve test it with folding

  • my GTX 260 reaches 80 celcius inside a super well cooled HAF 932. :/...

  • nonsense shit, give some respect for the card

  • too much fans

  • Yes You Can Cook A HUMAN Even if you pot that piece of Shit in a " CLOSED CASE "

    Think !!

Do Not Underestimate Our Minds !! Why In The Hell There Is An Exhaust Fins In The Madel Of The Graphic Card Closer - duh ?!

And Why Dose Some Brands Includes a Dual Fans ?!

Look Over YouTube You Will See Others Reaches 87 c !!! in Open Case !! it Can Reach 100 c Easy On a Closed One !!

  • I think Crysis would have that poached in no time.

  • what a shame :(

  • Another thing is when they say you could cook an egg of the GPU they mean the actual GPU not the fan housing.

  • Lol, this video is a fail... let's test the card in a completely open area with a benchmark program? Really? Put the card in a closed case like normal people have and run something like Furmark in stress test mode. You will probably see temps in the 70's not a mere 64°C

  • This video's results make me sad.

  • Comment removed

  • what kinda egg is that???

  • tessellation kicks ass

  • i lol`d so hard i need to go to a docter i think i broke my adam`s apple.

  • T-rex egg? Here I cannot get lower than 70°C all the time, it's crap.

  • It sure is a nice card and provides great graphics AND has PHYSX but to be quite honest, I don't think I can handle having an F-18 idling next to me. If the next line of 400's are quieter, then I'll think about getting one.

  • some people are jus bonkers nice vid haha tbh that card dnt reali get much hotter then the 5970

  • @Lyndon223 yea peoples are fucken morons make a big deal out of nothing.. people are so stupid ..

  • Jummie! I furmark some eggs on mine later XD

  • @bazookatim good luck

  • pmsl

  • This card does run hot, nothing insane for a GPU. In my opinion if your getting temps above 80'c 100%load then you need to get more ventilation or more fans pulling air into your case, because I have a Corsair 800D which is great for Liquid but not so good for air cooling and I don't have my GPU on my loop and the highest I've seen it is 82'c.

After the 5970 (and its pretty close to that) this is the best card on the market.. and that is compared to a dual GPU card. Pretty good if you ask me.

  • At least you don't have to buy a stove :D

  • Shitty cpu cooler
