  • woah did i just see an ipod that plays CDs lol

  • Wow, this really takes me back, a cd player, i remember when jason started singing for them, i saw them several times back in the day with him, i actually used to have that hrc shirt he is wearing, i bought it at their show, they opened for hrc, man i am old, or maybe i was just young back then, does anyone have similar stories, that would be cool.

  • @isaacmackey2 Yeah i was around back them too Brand new was the opening band then FSF then Hot rod circuit. Those were incredible times....was 18 at the time. am 27 now.

  • Since I was a kid and watched this, I always had a crush on that gal.

  • this song is amazing

  • Comment removed

  • thats actually jason gleason who replaced chris carrabba...so hes actually not dashboard confessional

  • @JeffieDahmer jason sings on how to start a fire, not the moon is down. this is clearly chris's voice.

  • this song is classic.... always listenong to this song!

  • that guys like ugly, good song though

  • @us000000 Your personalities ugly.

  • @Onyxaxe thanku fer the info

  • @us000000 Anytime.

  • @us000000 He kinda looks like Elliot Smith with short, croppy hair. The large nose and the eye/ forehead area is similar to Elliot's. You'd be surprised how many chicks (and fags) find the Elliot Smith look do-able. This guy does have a fatter square chin that Elliot does not.

  • love this love this love this. jason gleason lipping carrabbas voice, hahaha. still epic.

  • I love D/C and FSF (some of their stuff...mainly w/ Chris Carrabba), but this video is just god awful!!

  • Fort Lauderdale, Florida...recognized it right away (makes sense, sincs FSF was from Coral Springs, Florida)....great song from a great album.

  • is that the chick from degrassi?

  • i remember when i was a a huge dashboard fan and my friend introduced me to this song and it blew myind,,, foever love this song.

  • so pretty song!

  • Definitely should not have had Jason lip-synching this.

The muscle car thing was a little ridiculous, too.

    Wonderful song and album, though.

  • Beautiful song!

  • hey check out my fsf shirt on ebay

  • Haha, I can't believe they have Jason Gleason lip-syncing Chris Carrabba's vocals in this video.

  • OMG A CD PLAYER! haha

  • @FMLFYL I wonder if its shock proof

  • jesus you guys are idiots. that's not a "character from the video" that's the guy who took over for FSF (jason anyone?) when chris rolled out.

    hah, character from the video

  • WTF in what kind of timeline you live ?

  • no thats def not chris carrabba this is just a character from the video

  • @beefmang Yes that is Chris Carrabba singing, but no that's not him in the video. This video was made after Chris left the band, thus, they had their new singer Jason put the album in a cd player before the video started since he didn't write or perform it.

  • is that the guy from Dashboard Confessional???..

  • @sammich1109 Yes That's Chris Carrabba. He was an original member of this band but left shortly after the release of this album.

  • @sammich1109 singing on the album, not in the video

  • the girl in the video is from a band called element 101. funny, you can't find any of their stuff on youtube.

  • I Love Element 101, i wish they had stuff on youtube.

  • She is also Jason's wife in real life, or was in '06 when they were both in ActionReaction....

  • What's the car he's driving?

  • Mustang :)

  • This video reminds me of the late 90's or early 00's.

  • doesn't matter what singer they have, there still very good.

  • man, ipod wasnt born yet that time...lol

  • Actually Dashboard Confessional started off just being Christ, as a side project while he was still in FSF. The vocals on this video are Chris's.

  • such a bittersweet video :)

  • This is Chris Carrabba singing the 1st singer of FsF.. but the kid wearing the headphones singing...was Jason Gleason who was the 2nd singer of FsF.

  • haha for one, DC, isn't just one person, i mean it migth as well be jsut chris carraba but whatever. But yes, this is chris carraba, lead singer of dashboard. Thsi is the band he had before DC, a christian band named further seems forever..

  • dashboard started as just chris. the first eps and swiss army romance were just him. then with places he started using mike and stuff and then he became a full band.

  • they're gooood.(:

  • he sounds like dashboard confessional ha

  • he IS dashboard confessional....

  • oh ok i thought the guy in the vid was singer :P cuz he doesnt look like dashboard confessional.

  • @markysparky88 actually that's the singer that took his place in the video, but it was his singing on the song

  • @markysparky88 umm...Christopher Ender Carrabba is Dashboard...so yes, the voice you hear in this video is Dashboard...but the guy walking around is not....

  • is that girl the singer from Element 101? it kinda looks like her...

  • yep

  • FSF's best song in my opinion

  • pat metheny shirt! awesome :D

  • amazing song, FSF kick ass!!!

  • this just proves how amazing chris carrabba is

  • One of my favorite music videos ever, another great one is The Sound by FSF...Favorite band of all time!!

  • The dude singing in the video looks kinda like Ryan Adams to me.

  • Gwad I miss them!

  • when i went to florida their drummer steve was r driver :P

by the way the peer and beach is Deerfield Beech

  • me encanta este video y el tema es genial.

    saludos desde argentina

    aguante fsf

  • chris would be ashamed :)

  • one of my all time favorite songs ever

  • i always thought this dude sang this song..and just tried to sound like chris...lol....yeah..i know.who woulda thought.

  • i listened to this whole album every night years ago on vacation at the beach. the video was nothing like i would have imagined. i miss old FSF.

  • usually im listening to deathcore but this makes ma heart feeling broken

  • humm same here

  • Is there two versions of this video or am I just tripping, cos I've seen this music video so many times and I watched it here today and noticed so many other new parts to it i had never seen before?

  • LOL finally i found a song with chris carraba*sp* from FSF days

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!

  • OMG THIS IS GOOD

  • I think this is the only band that can have a different lead singer lip sync to a recording of the previous lead singer in the music video and I'm okay with it. In no way does it weird me out and that in itself weirds me out.

  • Either way these guys were some of the best out there. They were my favourite band from the first time I heard them, the end was expected, but it still sucks. At least I got to see them one time, I'm swedish so it was a great thing for me. :)

  • OMG !!

    i love the song <333

  • sounds like circa survive.. rayt guys?! but this is good 2

  • FSF has been out far longer. So Circa Survive sounds like them.

Both bands are incredible and songwriting.

  • Not at all Circa Survive is way more technical and atmospheric. If anything this sounds like Dashboard Confessional.

  • well being that Chris Carrabba was originally in further seems forever (dashboard being his side project) dashboard sounds like FSF

  • lol that I did not know

  • it is chris carrabba from dashboard

this is before he went to dashboard confessional =]

  • wow, did not know that. i love it. crazy stuff

  • Hooray!!

  • this song gives me chills<3333

  • Jason is good live...maybe better than Chris. But Chris wrote absolutely lovely melodies on The Moon is Down.

  • jason never was a pretty boy, rofl at the video. best band ever though.

  • my favorite song :D

  • Dude, what a ugly hair"!

  • hahaahhahahha agree..!!!!!! hahahah

  • Yea bro that is a gross dome piece

  • I remember this from when I was a teenager. I've lived in South Florida my whole life so it's still funny for me to see Pompano Beach in a music video. It does bring back warm memories of the music scene in those days.

  • Secondly, I am not a Christian nor a Dashboard Confessional fan. Regardless, Further Seems Forever was a great band and The Moon Is Down is the best record Carrabba ever made. I love all the hate on Jason too. Anyone who has ever seen them live with Jason knows he is 10 times the singer Chris is.

  • glad you added that you're not a Christian, I was concerned for a second there....

  • Comment removed

  • i really like the outro part....

  • I liked this album better than any of the dashboard albums, especially the new crap...

  • this is like a more emotional circa survive

  • supaduck: you have no idea how amazing 99'-2000 was in florida.

  • i was there in 1997 when i was 7 years old

  • Try '90-2003 or whenever Twice The Sun broke up.

  • Great song, great video. What town was this shot in (Or about) (Or both)

  • pompano beach/near downtown ft lauderdale...where i grew up.

  • Chris WAS an original member he wasn't asked to sing he quit the band just before they were set to record the first album because he had just wrote swiss army romance for his family and friends and liked it more, but he agreed to record this album before he left completly.

  • good song, sick car.

  • how sings? chirs or the other guy?:(!!!

  • lol further seems forever version 1.0 is so much better than dashboard will ever be. especially now that all of their shit sounds straight out of THE OC

  • You know nothing of DC so just shut your mouth. Thank you.

  • lol we all have our dashboard phase. I own 19 dashboard shirts rofl. new dashboard=blows=gay therefore, new dashboard=gay

    so impossible-awesome

even a mark a mission, not bad! but that's the direction the kept heading...gayer and poppier. so shut YOUR mouth, and thank YOU :-)

  • How does it blow? How is it gay? You need to provide facts to support your argument or no one will ever take you seriously. I mean really...

  • If you're saying you don't see any difference between dashboard with chris solo vs dashboard with full band..and electric guitars...with lyrics talking about lifeguard stands and beach towels....then you're...special. ;-)

  • maybe they broke up because there can only be ONE dashboard confessional and this clearly is a shitty version of how awesome DC is.

  • ohh my alll time fav song!!! I miss him hes so cute

  • The band did split up. The second vocalist left and the band got another singer, then split up after one album.

    3 CD's 3 singers.

  • is this the official video?

  • Yes, that's Jason Gleason, the second singer of the band, they made the video after Chris left.

  • i see. thanks! i thought this is only a fan-made video.:)

  • I kinda feel bad for this band that they can't even sing their own songs anymore...well at least with out Chris Carrabba.

  • Correction, the guy lead singer in this video isn't from Dashboard Confession. This one the singer after D/C singer.

  • they re-did the video! That's sad, they took Chris Carrabba out of it, except for his voice.

  • It's Chris Carrabba from Dashboard singing. Further seems Forever was his first band. D/C was his side project.

  • Lipsyinching ????

This is just a music video, anyone could have been there singing the song...

Thats the whole point of the dude putting in the Moon is Down cd in the intro.

  • Yeah does anyone know any cool bands like this that HAVENT split up?

  • Falling Up is a really good band with about the same type of sound.

  • They didn't split up, just have another lead singer.

  • any song that FSF named to jesuschrist? please!!!! answer me!!

  • It suck so bad they broke up. Anyone know other bands that has this sound?

  • Flipper, Chris was, but he wanted money, so he decided to sing only about girls b/c there was more money in it. I don't know if he's still a Christian or not, I just know he dropped doing only Christian music. He does still have Christian undertones in his lyrics though, so you never know.

  • Chris Carrabba never did "only Christian music." The Vacant Andys was Chris' first band, and was not a Christian band. Chris decided to part ways, due to the direction that FSF was going in. Get your facts straight if you're going to accuse someoen of being money hungry.

  • FSF was strictly Christian from the beginning(hence the reason they were on Tooth and Nail records). The music hasn't changed, just the person.

  • Chris didn't write the lyrics for FSF. He wasn't even a founding member. He joined because he was asked to. Just because he was in FSF does not mean he did only Christian music. He had been writing acoustic singles even while in FSF...Are you going to continue with your ignorance?

  • Dude!! Really? He was the first lead singer for them. He claims himself to have written the lyrics for most of the songs in every band he's ever been in. Chris was pretty much what made FSF what it was. That's why the band was never quite as good after he left. Songs weren't written as well, and music just sucked....you gonna keep being a douche?

  • further seems forever was such a great band. it sucks that they called it quits. it is weird seeing jason singing a song that chris did with them, but they were both great vocalists and both wrote incredible songs with fsf

  • Isn't tooth and nail records a christian label? I didn't know further seems forever was a christian band, and from some of the lyrics of dashboard it doesn't seem like Chris Carraba is either, don't get me wrong i love FSF and DC, just wondering

  • its chris carraba of dc

  • u right johnny !!

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? he must feel like the biggest asshole doing chris' song in a video...wow this is terrible.

  • Makes me sick to see that T&N let them make a video with just Carabas' voice. It's eerie.

  • Further Seems Forever sucked without Chris Carrabba, and Chris Carrabba sucks without Further Seems Forever

  • lovely song.. one of my favorites from further =]

  • the ending riff has to be my favorite part of any song.

  • you guys rocked i wish you were still doing this band but you know stuff happens

  • narf, stupid ugly Chris Carrabba inposter! I think Chris is outstanding, and seeing this guys mouth moving and hearing chris's voice come out it wrong! I'm glad he left and made Dashboard Confessional

  • Thats Jason (I think) Jason sang on How To Start a Fire.

  • i agree!

    i looooove DC!

  • shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttt!

    this is amazing !♥

  • light up ahead further seems forever!!!

  • 凄くいい曲

  • does chris sing any other songs with these ???

  • Aweeh

  • chris carabbas voice pretty sweet

  • Yeah really looks like a working class boy's car. Dude doesn't deserve Chrissy lol

  • I love this track.

This film clip is done so well too, with Jason Gleason putting a "The Moon Is Down" CD into his discman so it looks like he is just singing along with the track rather than performing with Chris Carrabba's recorded vocals.

  • you know what.. sometimes this video seems straight out of the hills or something along those lines that you'd find rich beach kids on mtv on week nights passed 10... haha way too much info haha

  • they broke 2 years ago

  • did they break up?

  • yeah, it does look like Jason, not Chris.

  • luv this song//

  • god damn thats a great song,

  • its cute

  • The video isn't gay,Its cute...And the song is amazing.Chris looks so different.

  • that's not Chris. That's the other singer pretending to be him.

  • Yeah, I was going to say.. LoL..

  • What did she give him at the end?

  • chris looks really different to the guy from dashboard confessional, and to be honest his haircut doesn't suit him but that shouldn't matter-its just a haircut

  • love this song, agree totally gay video

  • wicked gay video, ruins the song

  • That girl isnt chris either! wtf

  • i love the oldest thrice shirt and the video is wonderful but the real voice is carraba :P

  • it's not carabba in the video?

  • Obviously Carraba recorded the cd , but I heard he wanted to leave around the time the cd was being recorded but he agreed to record the cd. So the new singer filled in on the video.

  • the blatant lypsyching is just.... i just wanna hit that guy. hes not chris carraba....obviously

  • so sad..
