how do i make a continous loop, trim it down to what i want in song position?new to all this need tips or dvd,any one help me or should i of brought fruity loops?
this is my baby. i've had mine since '98. it greatly compliments new pieces of software or hardware as your arsonal grows. the original disk drive went bad, i ordered a new one from roland and replaced it myself.
i will never sell this machine..best sampling machine by far..the only thing is that it didnt came with sensitive pads (1998 while mpc was showing the 60,2000 and 3000)for the rest..20 bits sampling..tons of effects.this machine will introduce you to the sampling world with the best manner.oh yea u can find it for less than 350$ now.very good deal
If you don't know what you're looking for, this might be a bad idea. The SP-808 is great for sure, but Reason does quite some things ten times easier. I think you should look in the direction of MPC1000 or SP-606 perhaps if you really want a good hardware sampler. (the two mentioned aren't exactly the same kind of thing though). What music style are you looking for?

Can anyone tell me where they are getting the 100MB Zip disks cheap, because I'm finding them for around $15 each even when bundled.
hejustkeepsleeping 4 years ago
just check ebay i got 3x250MB zips for £1
snolan1990 3 years ago
i like mine
i see at as the broke man's MPC
but at least zip disks are outdated and you can get a ton cheap
the real time effects on it are still very useful but i have to admit, the ease and variation of computer programs for making beats is awesome
