  • Moonlight makes me sad in a good way

  • I'm a rock 'n roll kinda guy, but I respect classical. And you won't believe how many years I've been searching for that Fur Elise thing; it used to put me to sleep as a young child, and I've always loved it. Just now finding out what it's even called.

  • I was hoping for Chopin Prelude Op. 28 no. 4

    Greetings !

  • Is there any chance you could just make a playlist of all of these songs so I can leave them all running through? No editing, just pure classical 'compsorey' at its very best and purest form, so it may expand the minds of the young, aid the minds of the wary and correct the minds of the old for any and all.

  • Liebestraume should be #1.

  • Mozart was a genius with a the highest IQ yet (200). What he did at his young age was astounding to even this day. Plus he was a playboy, and he first name was cool, Wolfgang. I haven't met anyone whose name is like that.

  • mozart was cute when he was yung .. hahaha i had a feeling he was

  • Seriously? Fur Elise over any Chopin prelude, or his masterpiece Barcarolle in F sharp? Not angry, but Curious why you chose those first three over much more beautiful pieces. Beethoven and Mozart were Genius' no doubt, but the Romantic era was the golden age for piano.

  • This is beautiful. Thank you.

  • by piano, you mean harpsichord? lol

  • God..., this is so cliché...

  • @olivleonardo AGREED!

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you so much for compiling these pieces....i can only play 3 of these..but I want to learn more. thank you

  • Thank you so much for compling these pieces....i can only play 3 of these..but I want to learn more. thank you

  • great selection

  • es realmente hermoso musica de ensueño...

  • this is a liszt for people with a juvenile understanding of great piano literature...all the works are great, but if you really want to hear awesomeness check out Liszt's "Annees de Pelerinage", "Transcendental Etudes"...Ravel's "Gaspard de la Nuit" Beethoven's "Hammerklavier piano sonata", Bartok's 15 Hungarians Pieces and Piano Sonata, Brahm's Op.117 118 119

  • I can play fur elise on the piano bitches!

  • but can you play it well? with expression?

  • @AgentProvocateur01 It's not THAT difficult you know ^^

  • @AgentProvocateur01, So can I... It's not a big deal so shut the H*** up please

  • @AgentProvocateur01 Okay, But big the question is can you play the Minute Waltz? Since you can't, how about you shut up until you can. :D

  • @JoshdaROCKSTAR9999VS I can play petit chein, what do I do?

  • @ronansher That is great!! I love the song. I was originally talking to some idiot who thought that Fur Elise was like some ridiculously hard song. :)

  • ça manque de pieces mysterieuses

  • I love cats!

  • Poor appassionata

  • Lol Tetris theme is heavily inspired from Hungarian Rhapsody

  • I loved the whole video, beautifully done. Thanks for ur time and effort. and I think 'the flight of bumblebee' will also be a great addition there.

  • I hate how the top comment is a reply

  • Hey, i hate to spam, but if any of you are pianists under 18 years old, and you're interested in doing something, "pianistic" for your future, then you'll want to be joining a small group of musicians that would help you and inspire you to practice your instrument more, so feel free send me a message and i'll give you a link to a website where you can do so! thanks. (:

  • See popeye at 0.24! haha

  • Who is playing Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody no.2? I've listened to others play it but nobody captures the spirit like this guy!

  • @sweetpepper36 that, my friend, is most certainly Volodos...

  • No late beethoven? So much superior to the early Beethoven =). Also no etude tableaux or moments musicaux or any other great rachmaninoff composition? ='(

  • @PhillyB702 There is Rachmaninoff you blithering fool...

  • Also Toccata in fuge is playable on the Piano

  • You forgot The Heart Ask Pleasure First, by Michael Nyman. absolutely amazing and fun as to play but seriously GET OVER FUR ELISE

  • @orthodude1000 haha idd we have heard that piece WAYY too much

  • I think he made one major mistake in his song choice. When he put beethoven's pathetique 3rd movement he should have put the 2nd movement. It is probably beethoven's most beautiful songs ever.

  • chopin is amazing. I play piano myself, i was inspired by sir elton john and play all his songs.I only have 1 peice of piano on my channel and thats river flows in you by yurima or yiruma...:/, but yeah, check it out.

  • chopin is amazing.

  • Liszt did not write La Campanella he just transcribed it for piano, Paganini wrote it for one of his concertos

  • @TrombonesOfBC thats not entirely true.

he merely took paganini's theme, and turned it pretty much into a whole new thing.

  • @chrism216 yes i compleatly under stand what you are saying but he wrote the new music for it but there should be some more credit on who actually wrote the piece but yes you are correct

  • Where is Rosssini , further more, Czerny, clementi, Carl weber. ?

  • What happened to the compositions from the baroque era? Were they disqualified due to the fact that most of them were written for the harpsichord?

  • So Mozart is all about that god damned Alla Turca, heh?

The K511 Rondo, the the K397 and K475 Fantasies, K310 Sonata, the 453 March, those just don't count, do they?

  • 1st Song: 0:05

  • Even though i love many composers, my all time favorite, is LISZT. What piano, what emotion! What music!, JUST OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!THANKS AND GOD BLESS! GREETINGS FROM INDIA.

  • You can add Debussy's Arabesque, Offenbach's Barcorelle, Schubert's Impromptu in G, and also Fibich's Poem to this list. Indeed there are many others as well, no doubt this is a great list. Thanks for posting and God Bless!!!

  • The piano is the instrument of an intellectual...the guitar is beautiful, but the piano is far, far superior. Along with the classic music it plays.

  • @caveofwatermelons Turkish March, other than that, I don't think so...

  • Well, THEY say "beaut is in the eye of the beholder"

  • I think the pathetique you should have chosen was the 2nd movement. just my personal opinion.

  • @Bluesysphinx I agree with you. Personally, I rate that piece of music as my favorite of ALL his compositions (including the symphonies).

  • i'm 14 years old and i only like hiphop but this shit is going mad <3

  • Chopin Etude Op.25 No.10? Especially the middle section.

  • what's the name of the 1st song- Mozart, Rondo Alla Turca KV 331 (Sylvia Cápova.).

is that the actual name of the piece or is there another name for it?

  • She did do a horrible job on FRIDAY. I don't want to "play" classical, but I don't mind it being played. But that makes me want to play again! There was probably a lot I could've done with it. I always thought I'd get out of c, but that must be my key for some reason. Hopefully the opportunity will come along.

  • i think works like Fantaisie op. 49 , Ballade and Scherzo nos.3, Rach's concerto 2, and goes on NEED to be there

  • where is Debussy's Claire de lune...and Arabesque? Dvorak...Humuresque?

  • @010bobby They clearly said "some"

  • Six pieces by Chopin and not even his nocturne?!

  • I was expecting some more Liszt but everyone has their opinions.

  • @Neonalfax YES

  • to watch a piano piece that has changed my life search "comptine austin" and click on fourth video.

  • REALLY GREAT

  • to view my original composition search "Ballade of the stars". click on first video. I hope it moves you

  • Thank you for uploading this. :)

  • I wonder to the 4th piece... why does the title "Pathetique"? It sounds like he made the song "Pathetic"?

  • I love the second one, my mom always plays it and i love to listen

  • Ferenc Liszt is the correct name ;)

  • Noch zu viele Werke Copins.

  • Beautiful music.

  • you know there is piano music that exists past the 18th century.

  • @leltard

There is, but it's not beautiful.

  • Thumbs up if you saw the name 'Freddy Kempf' and the first thing that popped in your head was 'Fredddie Kruger'.

  • Liszt is the shit.

  • chopin shreeddzz

  • me i vote Chopin #1. he does something that no other piano composers have been able to do. cant put it in words but if you know you know if not then sorry you will never get to find out.

  • With regards to musical analysis - am I the only one who has looked at a pop music score and seen that it is only composed of four or five chords? What this means is the melody is not in balance with the harmony. Harmony is essential! Chopin, Beethoven and especially JS Bach were examples of famous composers for the piano whose melodies do not override harmony. You notice this when you look at the unusual chordal progressions often present in their music both aspects are important.

  • erm an interesting channel etc. Im ok with melodies its the lyrics I struggle with. any suggestione please?main instument guitar. )0( J

  • anyone have any tips for me to improve my piano skills? im at a clair de lune type level

  • @joshxxt If you haven't already, try to broaden your horizons and learn to improv and composition. Then when you play classical music you can see where everything's coming from and understand it all much better :) Also improving at high speeds in-time increases finger dexterity and mental "quickness".

  • @theBASSOE ok so work on composing my own music? what about drills?

  • @joshxxt If you don't already know moderate music theory I'd start researching online. Know every key, types of chords, how they relate etc. Then just sit at the piano, pick a key, come up with a simple chord progression and improv. After a bit of improving you'll start hearing things you like and then write a song. It will be very simple at first but after months of this + analyzing other pieces you'll start to have a huge musical knowledge. And I don't do drills :P I just improv really fast.

  • The best is Grieg Pianoand Chopin tristesse

  • i wish that i could play revolutionary.. :( but i can only play fur elise and moonlight sonata.. D:

  • 00:42 i go CRAZY 4 the reversw colored piano!lol xD

  • I hope no-one is offended I left out Mozart and Lizst. Being indefatiguably Romantic I am a little averse to Lizst's so-called 'progressive' music and I don't feel Mozart's music has the depth of emotion of the music of the composers in subsequent generations (which is why you may criticize the fact that they're over-represented). I hope the pro-Classical crowd won't be too offended.

  • Please note, this is just MY list, in order of composition: 1. J.S. Bach: Aria from the Goldberg Variations 2. Beethoven: Piano Sonata No. 14, 1st mvt 3. Beethoven: Triple Concerto, 2nd mvt 4. Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 5, 2nd mvt 5. Beethoven: Piano Sonata No. 32, 2nd mvt 6. Schubert: Piano Sonata No. 21, 2nd mvt 7. Chopin: Prelude No. 4 in E minor 8. Chopin: Piano Sonata No. 2, 3rd mvt 9. Brahms: Piano Concerto No. 2, 3rd mvt 10. Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No. 2, 2nd mvt
  • Well, all of these pieces beat the constrained rhythm and inbred plagiarism of almost ALL of the other videos found by searching "beautiful piano".

When I pressed search, I didn't want to find countless attempts at reiterating 'Anime' piano tunes by non-professional composers with the audacity to label their own music "beautiful".

Liebestraume speaks for itself. 'Original Compositions' by geeks with notation software is mostly louche, uninspired trash.

  • i can play number 5 :D

  • @str8rippin0mlg cool! :))) i can play all of them except of the 1st etude op.10 of chopin(i wanna find the sheets to learn it!!! :D)and the 3 last ones...i'm actually studying la campanella now ;)

  • Moonlight sonata is so...it's like the mona lisa of music...

  • @poirepoire22 but the music itself is so great, maybe overused yeah..

  • @slewis Yeah it's great...but what I meant was like... The secret in the beauty of the Mona Lisa is that you can't say if she's smiling or just maybe angry something like that... I don't know if you feel the same as me but you can't say if it is a "sad", "happy" or scary piece ... moreover this is the most awesome piece of piano i've ever heard :) thank you for replying it shows that i got thumbs up on my previous comment :P

  • Love how almost half of them are Chopin.

  • THE PIAN0 UNIVERSAL EQUATI0N:1M0ZART+3BEETH0VEN+6CH0PIN+3LISZT+1SHUMANN+1RACHMANIN0V=G00D!!

  • Beethoven is my only favorite, don't see Mozart replacing him in my near future.

  • Sounds like a piano

  • @RIPHendrix

Really, I would have never guessed.

  • Mozart was an iconic chick magnet, & he played piano.

  • thanku :D !! , and a question who plays the Liszt, Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. ???

  • @anamt96 it's not the original Liszt's version..itz Vladimir Horowitz's version.

If I'm not mistaken,i think it's Volodos playng it.

  • @TheEmanmartin thank u :D !!

  • do a playlist with these? PLEASE?

  • I feel bad for 97 people. Being deaf must be terrible.

  • @AGVZ777 thats no excuse, look at Beethoven

  • @nowthatsthestuff First of all Beethoven wasn't deaf all of his life. And do think deaf people have the privilege of appreciating this music like us? No, just like the 97 dumbasses who disliked this video.

  • omg so good

  • oh WHY Horowitz fucked the fatastic hungarian rhapsody??? pelase... he was RUSSIAN... he CAN'T understand it... so he fucked it...

  • Let's see...I've played Turkish March, Fur Elise, the Minute Waltz, and half of Liebestraum No.3....and I'm itching to play Grand Valse Brilliante and La Campanella...P.S. Have you heard "Widmung?" I believe it was by Liszt.

  • 97 people wouldn't know what true classical music is if it slapped them around the face.

  • 1,337 Comments, nice!

    Ouch, Liszt makes life hard.

  • Lol, 1337 comments!

  • How commercial can classical music get?

  • One thing I've come to understand is that some people are impossible to please. In fact, they will go out of their way to disagree just so they can make others as miserable as themselves. It's just part of human nature: we naturally crave drama. Though this music is absolutely beautiful, some people can't just leave it at that.
