This is an issue I struggle with. Throughout the history of the bible, especially in the era of Scholasticism in the Middle Ages, we have had countless people think the same thing. However, when individuals like the scholastics felt this way, they had the power to actually change it. So the big question is, how many times has the Bible been changed in order to fit another individuals interpretation of what they think the Bible should say and it should be interpreted to mean this.

This is an issue I struggle with. Throughout the history of the bible, especially in the era of Scholasticism in the Middle Ages, we have had countless people think the same thing. However, when individuals like the scholastics felt this way, they had the power to actually change it. So the big question is, how many times has the Bible been changed in order to fit another individuals interpretation of what they think the Bible should say and it should be interpreted to mean this.

There is still a lot of vitality in US Christianity, both Evangelicals and Catholics. The latter alone are around 78 million. The world total of Christians is ove 2,300,000,000. In some places there is a decay in Christian vitality in both the US and western Europe, but there have always been ups and downs, if you are aware of history.

There may have been some weird Sects that performed them, but there was no such thing in the Great or Catholic (Universal) Church officially. I cannot speak for some crazy individual priest somewhere, as there are occasionally those among so many members. One priest in Boston was in the Man-Boy Love group (now out).
