  • Thanks W0MM, for the video tour. Great composition of video & music....Thanks...Jan...73 N8CBX

  • Beyond awesome station, BUT there is NO challenge in working DX. I'd be bored, frankly. Try working 250 DXCC entities running 100 watts 'barefoot' and simple wires, verticals, or a spider beam! I have a thousand times more respect for the op that has achieved DX this way. That said, as a 'contest station', you NEED this kind of 'firepower' to win!

  • @AudiophileTubes I worked my first 300+ countries with 100 watts and wires at 20ft (wkd 8BDXCC also) from the US and from Europe. I know the feeling. But like you said you REALLY need to have this kind of station if you want to be a top M/M contest station...

  • Glad to see the station!

Workd 4 bands during CQ WW CW.

    I haven't anatenna the missing 80 and 160m

NR5M is famous between hungarian contesters, usaly the strongest signal from US call aera 5

I feel the spirit :) because the big guns make more joys for the small pistols!

  • I was glad to QSO you today. My 5 watts and dipole from France. But yikes, with that antenna farm I am less impressed with myself. You could have heard me if I was five miles underground

  • LOL @ 200 DXCC on 27 MHZ.. yea.. try that on 80 or 160m..enuff said.

  • Good grief, I'm a ham and I find this ridiculous. Where's the amateur or hobby part of this station? It looks more like OCD to me.

  • @wb6rrk Its radio sports ! Some people like to talk about their medical problems day in n day out.. some talk abt avation, some bounce signals off the moon.. some like to build stuff.

  • @wb6rrk To each his own. Contesting is a GREAT way to bring up the DXCC total worked amount. I don't care about points or winning.

  • Not bad......... :)

    For the previous comments:

    THIS IS A HAM RADIO!

  • So THIS is where all of that incredibly annoying QRM comes from!

  • please send plans and blueprints

this is what I am going to do with my lottery winnings

  • I do not know what is worse. All the money he has spent talking to the world or the failure of him not contacting me in the north of England. With all of that I should be able to hear him on a piece of wet string.

  • Contesting is nice... several times a year from a fixed location. Nice thing about the hobby of amateur radio is how people hike to mountain tops, go to islands, or work out of their homes with simple stations and work the world... every day. Not tied to antenna farms and bays of radio gear. I'm sure you guys enjoy the contests, but since the early days of radio, contests have always come with mixed reviews. Race cars run once and a while, compared with classy cars run every day...73 de NW7US

  • Absolutely impressive! I used to operate out there several years ago. It has changed alot since I was there, but it looks awesome. George probably doesn't remember me as I haven't had any contact with him in 15-20 years. I have not been active on the bands at all - really miss it. Good luck to all and 73's

    de Bob King - NM5L

  • Kudos to all who built and funded that station. You guys must have a blast. I know I would love to be able to operate from a station like that! Bob VE7WNK

  • A better station than most international navies!

  • I would like to share one contest with you, Great station congratulations FB Video

    73 XQ4CW //////

  • Holy CRAP!!!! You must be rich as $##$!!!! Cool setup, but not really Ham Radio. More like a commercial broadcast station times 50!!!

  • Fantastic contest station and a great group of operators. GL to all you guys! - 73, Bob K8IA/N7AT

  • Wouldnt it be nice to own a set up anythink like this with antennas like that i would

be happy to use just my 10w in qrp mode if conditions are right you would work the world in less than 10w But nice

  • i DON'T NEED ALL THIS STUFF,200+ DXCC CONFIRMED IN 27 MHZ,ALL WORKED WITH 100W AND A 3 ELEMENT YAGI @ 40FT

    :=)

  • @10SD112 100 watts on 27 MHz is illegal...why not become legal and become a ham? :P

  • @w0mm maybe in a near future, only to work the DXCCs Im missing ( from the freeband list ) and who are not very active in 27.555 mhz

    73s from DL97fb

  • @10SD112

im sure is perfectly possible to work all that dxcc in 27mhz , but thats not the point this is a contest station ..i wish a have samo nice antennas like these

  • Wow!! This is a real battle station!!!

Now I know why hear then all contest long...

    Ride PY2TI/PS2R

  • And I thought K3LR had a good contest setup. Can you make more videos maybe showing more of the operating positions and how it all works together

    Thanks

  • What I would give to be able to operate a contest from that station!

  • Love it! ! !! Ham Radio on STEROIDS ! ! ! ! ! Just leave a little RF for the rest of us bottom feeders running 2KW and 7 element tribanders.. Hi Hi

What a ball you guys must have.. I would pay admission just to tune around 20 and 15 meters for a few hours.. Hi Hi

  • Where's the challenge? Like shooting fish in a barrel!

  • @ku4gw Please come shoot the fish in a barrel with us :-)

  • @ku4gw I absolutely agree KU4GW! Strictly for winning radiosport contests though, you need this much 'firepower'. For working honor roll DXCC, I have no respect for someone having achieved this with 1K and a google-element antenna. I respect the Ham who has done it with just 100W and simple antennas. Now THAT is real operator talent!

  • OMG THAT IS SO FREAKING COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • muy buenos videos

  • Worked you guys in the 2010 CQWW SSB

    73 de VK4MIA

  • Congratulations to RadioHams for companionship and effort in making antennas and promotion, that the incentive for others to follow suit. And for those who gave negative vote, is nothing but a jealous he could not do the same.

  • @w0mm I sure bet it's fun!

  • Give me those radios and antennas (and the real estate) ... right now! That's an order! I contacted one of your operators during the contest this weekend. 73 de KA4UDX.

Good work. Now I will probably have dreams about this.

  • fantastic dream of every station the radio operator

  • Try working with a stack and you'll find the fun... and the pile-up!

  • If only to be able to operate from there!

  • I like the NASA look. Good luck in the contest this weekend. Sounding good in Oregon.

  • Great station :) Be good to work you! I will be looking for the 60+over 9 :)

    73 great video

  • Too bad it's in Texas!

  • Great! In Japan, it's impossible!

  • George, what a fantastic station building effort!!!

    73,

    Jim WX3B

  • nice stuff

    k6kjs

  • Nice installation but guyed towers are not the best.

  • WOW! A real testament to what money can buy. You guys ever build anything?

  • @e2jw Sometimes:)

  • I really hope a tornado does not find its way to your station. Would be a tragedy to lose all that work. Must have been alot of fun to build.

  • NR5M is my first and only station to have worked 5 bands. TU and CU next contest.

  • See you on band..

    GL de S58F ERIC

  • THIS IS NOT HAM RADIO ! Where is the fun ???

  • Come play with us and you'll see how fun it is!

    Eric NM5M

    de Mike, K5UO
