@mrdrfez you can use any sword single handed, if it is not too long. then use the two handed grip to apply more force in the cut. another reason i was using one hand is that it shows how easily this can be handled.
The crazy thing is that this Hanwei product is NOT sharp!! It's a Practise tool and is heavy but blunted. Only Cold Steel do a sharpened version for cutting. Google them and check out their tests...much more devastating. I think a cold steel version would do nicely for camping trips...
@physicalcult actually dude, it is this sharp straight out of the box. the cold steel version is too heavy for proper CMA forms. this thing is the right weight and balance, plus it is a chinese sword made in china and not a chinese sword made in india.
Dude, why did you do most of the stuff single-handed? The dadao is supposed to be a two-handed... er cough I meant hand and a half chopper.

@SirTreSwordReviews so basically Dadao is like an over-sized two-handed Machete?

Is this sword durable enough to be used on camping trips as a kind of multi-purpose cutting tool?
Fweezle1 1 year ago
I wouldn't bring a sword to a camping trip. Buy a machete if you want that.

@Fweezle1 it would work but the park ranger might arrest you.
