when 2 people DJ its basically just splitting the workload up evenly. They are using CDJ 1000mk3's, which are like turntables for CDs. they also use Serato Scratch live.

I just cant tell in this vid, i mean I can tell hes messing with the mixer, so i guess you right. i wasn't doubting that. Just saying when i saw them at Ultra i didn't notice them using the cdjs. Ive seen plenty of live sets (Richie Hawtin, Exzakt, Prodigy, DynamixII just to name a few) and they always have all drum machines, keyboards etc. Saw them at ultra messing with the same stuff. So im just guessing they use both during certain sets?

They are prolly playing a live set, no turntables most likely. Its not exactly djing, more liek producing on the spot. However two dj's can do it at once, for that matter more than two. Look up mashup crews, Ive seen 8 djs battling at once..they all try to stay on beat but use diff tracks, and scratch etc

Yea ive seen them twice. Last time was ultra 2009. They had cdj's but I honestly never noticed them using em (not saying they did not). I assume the one wearing the headphones is throwing the tracks in considering you need to listen to it before its coming in, and the dude on the laptop is throwing loops, effects etc over what hes playing. We should just ask them next time we see them lol
