  • @XxDirtyMoneyIslandxX your a lying ass dick..... just saying.....

  • Why in the hell would you port a sealed box? Now your sub sounds like shit

  • @cosmiccastaway2001 Whatever you say then... lol

  • where did you get that box??

  • @sweendoggg I built it...

  • wtf your driving a f150 96-87 (I drive a 96) have a confederate flag and are listening to nigger music? You sir are one confused man.

  • @cfalien Actually it was an 86. I listen to a lot of different music. Didn't know I wasn't allowed to listen to whatever I wanted... Is there a rule or something I don't know about??

  • @cfalien you a racist?

  • @weroo54597 no.

  • @cfalien shit i kno black people that have rebel flags and listen to country music.doesnt mean their confused just means its their own style its who they are u gotta be urself not wat everyone expects you to be.im white i listen to rap music.rock music.and some country music.and i would definently ride in a caprice sittin on 24s.its just my own style bro

  • @XxDirtyMoneyIslandxX Lol calling my system from like 4 years ago wack when you have no videos at all..... Keep coming back on here to say stupid shit.... I get money for my video views ;)

  • Dont be shit talking Steve Meade. He pretty much does know everything(about car audio). Hes been building systems before anybody knew what a subwoofer was. And hes probably alot older than you think.

  • @JerseyKingFilms Lol another Steve Meade dick sucker.. STFU AND GTFO! :)

  • @JerseyKingFilms that box looks like crap for somebody who has been building systems for years.

  • add more :)

  • @jesseanderson1484 This truck and stereo is long gone.

  • @popwarhomie ah man ok....do you have a different setupe now?

  • @jesseanderson1484 Ive had about 4 since this video. Just check out my other videos. Thanks

  • haha nice headliner. check out my 85 chevy ive got a p3s and 2 memphis 6x9s behind my seat!

  • you realize the smaller the port the lower the bass right?

  • @imjustakid22 You realize that your comment was completely random right?

  • @popwarhomie i just noticed your port is really big bro

  • @imjustakid22 No it was good for the box. BTW your wrong about "the smaller the port the lower the bass" This was my first ported box I built but it was def not my last. Ive done quite a few.

  • @popwarhomie go tell steve meade that

  • @imjustakid22 Ohhh I see. Another Steve meade dick sucker huh.. You thing he is God or something.. Maybe you should stop thinking he knows everything. Cause You are wrong..

  • @popwarhomie i dont know what that guys talkin about? nice box. an steve is good, no good just a nice system but i think its more or less what you want in your vehicle.. im plain out happy with my 2 mtx 12s and by buddy with 2 18s laughs at me?

  • Comment removed

  • man u should try to break a cd

  • @basslover201 This setup is long gone.

  • @popwarhomie ohhh hahah

  • sounds like crap. or maybe thts jus the camera

  • wat song is this

  • @khk4278

    Bone crusher-grippin the grain

  • well if i knew what iwas doing i would do it lol

  • well that would be alot of confusion lol and i dont build boxes cause i have no idea what im doing. So it would just cause alot of problems

  • @kawa4545 Its not that bad at all.. Just draw out what you want on paper and get your dimensions on how long and wide your box would be to fit right. Then just measure twice and cut once and screw and glue. You will be much happier with a custom box. I had a prefab box once.. Then I ditched it and my next 7 boxes were custom and 5 were ported. Huge difference.

  • dang it!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • @kawa4545 lol yea I know. You could always build a nice big ported box and just raise half the the rear seat up. Then you would still have a available seat in back.

  • 2 10's i hate the way sealed sounds i want to port it lol

  • 2 10's. i really want too cause i hate the way sealed boxes sound

  • @kawa4545 Yea sorry those underseat boxes are too small to be ported.

  • well do you think my box under my back is big enough to port? its a 2002 f150 exented cab i got it off of music moose.com

  • @kawa4545 I dont really know the dimensions but im almost positive its going to be too small to be ported. Its an under the seat box right? For 2 12"s? 2 10"s? 1 12"? 1 10"?

  • so this box was origanlly sealed but you ported it yourself right?

  • @kawa4545 Yes, but i made the box big enough that being ported would be fine.

  • you know more then me, im new to car audio. uhm what do you sugest to put in a single cab 1994 Ford ranger?

its standard so hopefully the driver seat will have a little more foot room if possible.

    would love feedback!

  • @snoop6604

Measure behind your seat and get an idea of how big of a box you can fit comfortably behind it. What music do you listen to? Whats your budget?

  • @popwarhomie uhm im hoping to spend for 2 subs and a box no more then 500$ i have a Alpine Mrp-500 amp and the wires needed, or most.

uhm i listen to alot of young jeezy, tech nine, stuff like that, alot of real low songs.

    thanks for replying so quick

  • @snoop6604 Hmmm. With that amp your kinda limited. It puts out 500rms at 2 ohms. I would either run 1 12" or just 2 8"s until you can get a better amp. Check out my newer videos. I now have 2 sundown audio 8"s on an AQ1200D and they slam. Putting 500rms to each one.

  • @popwarhomie well even if the subs are underpowered they would pound pretty good untill i get a new amp?

a guy i work with has a single 12" kicker and it pounds so hard, so im not asking for 150DB lol

  • @snoop6604 They would be okay. I would go with 2 cvr 10"s in a nice sized box then.

  • @popwarhomie i know you know more then me , but aren't CVR's a little thick to be behind seats in a litle ranger? I heard CVT's are good and small.

    btw im also 6'0 lol

  • @snoop6604 CVRs arnt bad at all. Should be right at 6" deep. If that is alittle to deep then yes the CVTs will work well for you.

  • @popwarhomie alright thanks man

  • im giving it highest rating for the fact that we have same seat covers....got the steering wheel cover to match lol...but still i don't have shit in my truck but working on getting a little 10 inch jl audio with 300 watt amp from a friend....just nee something to give me a little bit of a bump...

  • @Thisguyisfucked hahah thanks. Look at my newer videos for more stereo ideas.

    Thanks

  • anyone got any idea for a ported box that will hold 2 12 mmats pro audios and can fit in a 05 f150 XL?

  • @bleedthedead You need to measure your truck and see how much space you have or how much space you are willing to give up. Id say around a 4 cubic foot box after port/ speaker displacements.

  • Grippin the grain (: Badass song

  • sounds like shit all that rattle

  • 1:26 Confederate Flag .. Hell Yeah!!!

  • hey man, could you help me? i got a 89 chevy silverado, im gonna install bucket seats and make a custom box in the middle and i wanna buy two kicker cvr 12s. you think this is a good idea? and what kinda amp? i was thinkin boss or power acoustics

  • Yes look at my newer videos. I had 2 10"s in a 3.12 cube box between the seats in my Lightning.

Stay away from both those brands. Never cheap out on an amp. Kicker 750.1 or if you have a tight budget get a Hifonics amp.

  • alright thanks man, i was thinking of a hifornics amp too.

  • @popwarhomie well kicker amps arnt high at all. look at buyying a amp off amazon. or check kenwood amps. there super cheap

  • @Msp2011 What do you mean kicker amps arnt high at all? Kicker makes some of the best amps out there. I would never run a kenwood amp. You never cheap out on an amp. I run Audioque and Sundown audio now.

  • @popwarhomie okay well there not cheap but not high. nice amps are alpine, JL shit like that. hottest thing out right now is the alpine PDX

  • @Msp2011 Really depends on what you would say is cheap. Everyone has different opinions. I myself will stick with Audioque, and Sundown. I think Sundown makes the best amps you can buy personally. I try to stay away from the over priced mainstream brands now.

  • @popwarhomie very true. idk ve never delt with sundown or actually heard one. ive always just used alpine and liked it

  • @Msp2011 lmao, really? you think Alpines PDX are the "hottest thing out" right now? hahahaha

  • @dustinallen1982

    Lol ;)

  • please help me,

can you say me how you know what hertz it's tuned to?

cause I see all kinds of ported boxes and want to make one for myself but I have absolutely noooo idea how to get the hertz right :s:s

  • Search "Box port calculator".

  • where did you find the kit to install the radio?

  • crutchfield

  • Cool. Look at my newer videos. 2 10" AQ HDC3 subs on 3500 watts rms. in my 94 Lightning.

  • yeh i know im working on that

  • i have a 1994 f-150 single cab i custom made a box for the center console sounds good i got a p3s 12 with a 1000 watt kenwood running 500 to the sub

  • Sweet. No videos? I currently have a 94 Lightning with a 3.12 cubic foot box between the seats with 2 Audioque HDC3 10"s on 3500 watts rms.

Check out the newer videos. Post a video of yours.

  • That lightning is a nice truck. The only thing I do not like about those trucks is that they are two wheel drive and automatic transmission.

  • Yea the E4OD auto trans SUCKS! I want to put a 5 speed in it bad.

Ive never needed 4 wheel drive though. Even living where I do.

  • i have a 94 ford and i cant find a box 2 fit with out me haveing 2 drive with my knee caps plz help meeeeeeeee

  • hey i have 2 12''s with two seperate small boxes. but i have an f150 single cab truck. if i put a taller box that gets the both subs will it sound louder?

  • If the box has more airspace than the 2 you have now then yes it will sound better and louder. What kind of subs?

  • i have the kicker cvr 12 with a performance tekinique amp. the boxes r 2 ground shaker boxes the little seperated boxes

  • Yes a 2.00 + cubic foot sealed box would sound much better.

  • nice i have a ranger im getting ready to put 2 12 inch hf hifonic subs with an autotek 1600 watt amp in a ported box shits gonna bang my current setup is 1 12" sony xplod and 12" JL audio with a 600 watt amp hits pretty hard but there in a sealed box so its suffocating the subs getting a ported box in a couple weeks should be louder :D

  • louder or not?

  • O yea huge difference.

  • whats the song

  • grippin the grain(slowed)-bonecrusher

  • thats sick.. ahah who cares what the box looks like. it works it sits behind a seat cant see it.. how deep is your box by the way ?

  • 5 3/4" top depth

    8 1/4" bottom depth

    50" long

    15" tall

    2.21 cubic feet.

  • what a walfare box

  • Dumb shit cant even spell welfare right...

  • i have one of these trucks, and embarassingly cannot figure out how the flip the back of the seat down like that...care to help me out?

  • at 33 seconds in this video you can see it in the lower middle of the screen its kinda triangular and its on both the driver and the passenger side.

  • way to big of a box

  • No it wasn't. This box was 2.22 cubic feet and Kicker recommends 1.75 - 2.25cu. ft. for a ported box.

  • well the box was too big for the port at least...with 2.22 cubic foot you should have at least 29/30 square inches of port area, one 4" aero port only has 12.5 or so square inches of port area, i think you can get away with a bit less port area with round ports, but not that much less....ur output is going to be really suffering and ur lows as well, a box tuned to 38hz with more square inches of port will pick up lows better than yours...no use using a lower square inch port to tune lower easier

  • but hey, im not havin a go at ya I'm just sayin man sorry....All of my boxes are shit, ive only recently igured out that square port area thing in the last month and i been researching and reading forums for 6 months now

  • NP man. Im just going but what I was told.

This system is long gone and ive got a new truck and system now. Im in the middle of building the ported box for my L7 right now and the box is going to be 2.06 cubes and I want it tuned to around 33hz. I was told that I would need a 4"x13" aero port. Sound right?

  • LOVE THE HEAD LINER!!!

  • Thanks

  • there WAS ALOT OF PORT NOISE lmao

  • Yea camera liked to pick it up. Could not here it in person.

  • woah man massive box there,

how wells that sound for loudnes?

  • O yea really loud for just 1 12" CVR sub.

  • fucking rebal fag

  • Ahhh shut the fuck up...

  • wanna buy a few more CVR's?

  • naa. This setup is long gone. Now have a 12" L7 and about to order another one. Thanks though.

  • that first song is sweet, what is it?

  • Bone crusher-grippin the grain

  • hey man if you want a somthin to stop the box from rattling angainst the back of your truck where they touch get some house door weather striping the kind that has adheisive on that back of it like tape to put on the back of your box it really helps and its cheap to

  • My new truck has a sliding rear window and my 12" L7 rattles the shit out of it. Ill try that.

    Thanks

  • u need a bigger port

  • naa it was tuned to 33hz. Dont even have this setup anymore.

  • just because it was tuned to what you wanted doesnt mean it was a good port ya know... to be more specific he was trying to say you need more port area.. and you do.. or did seeing you dont have this anymore..

  • shoulda thrown in another tube! more port area! less port noise! cuz from the vid it sounds like you have got a fairly good amount of it! but cool lil system!

  • Well I would but Im getting 2 more cvr12s soon so ill have 3 12s with a Hifonics Brutus BXi1608D 1600WRMS amp.

Also you can only hear the port noise if you stick your ear up to it lol. The camera picked it up really good though.

    Thanks.

  • in these older ford trucks they don't give u much room behind the bench, you must sit kinda close to the steering wheel.

  • Im only 5'9" so its not bad at all.

  • i got a 95 single cab with one pioneer 12 and to make it fit and be able to put the seat back i cut a hole in the back of the box for the magnet and put a piece of thin plexi glass over it

  • Damn. Have you looked into the Pioneer shallow mount subs? They are nice.

  • yeah' they're pretty sweet, a tad pricey but would be idel.

  • to big for that sub bro

  • no it isnt bro.

  • CVR12 Ported Box inner volume 1.75 - 2.20

    My box is 2.20

  • well something sounds off idk its your stuff though so. yup yup

  • Its being recorded by a digital camera and being played through your computer speakers. Its not going to sound the same as if you were inside the truck.

  • howd you figure out how to port it in that box if it was sealed before

  • I told jackass234561(youtube name) my box dimensions and he told me what size port.

  • noob mistake, puttin a pvc pipe in a sealed box and callin it ported

  • It is ported and its ported right. I didnt just stick a peice of PVC in it.

  • in another comment on here it was said that the box was sealed at first. which means you just cut a hole a put a pipe in to port it, which is not the right way to make a ported box

  • Yea, I made the box sealed for 2 12s and ended up getting just 1 but it was to big so instead of making another one I just ported it. I will be getting another cvr12 to put in it within a month. I didnt just stick a pipe in it. I got the right dimensions for it so the box is tuned to 33hz.

  • are you goin to use the same box for teh two

  • i like the rebel flag ceiling too!!

  • dang i want ur system thingy soooo dang bad lol!!

  • wich dimensions is the box can you share? im want a similair setup in my truck thansk!

  • 5 3/4" top depth

    8 1/4" bottom depth

    50" long

    15" tall

    2.21 cubic feet.

  • posse's on broadway Sir - Mix - A- Lot

  • thanks.

  • np :)

  • hey . i got 2 12s in my truck.. do they sound better with a port or what?

  • yes, huge difference with a port. Just make sure you make the port the right size for the box and the subs.

  • but with 2 12s in a truck u will get sum port noise.

  • nice man!! thats a big ass port lol.. checkout my new setup and tell me what u think

  • Will do

  • mexicans are shit only shit

  • Learn English mexi!

  • love the seat covers man

  • Thanks :)

  • Joey you fucking fail at life.. you make fun of his truck when you have videos with no sound and walmart subs. Please go fucking kill yourself you don't deserve my air. That is all.

    Sincerely,

    smoore0813

  • I said lol im messin with you. Do you know what that means? that means its a joke, get over it. It was a diss on ford not his truck, but yet again, its a joke.

  • Well thats a poorly mad truck, wonder why..... ooo its a ford, that explains it! lol im messin with you. I want to upgrade to kickers. How much was that sub?

  • $65 plus shipping from audiosavings website.

  • Holy crap really? was it the scratch and dent version or was it on sale or what?

  • a joey yea this subs arent expensive at all. you should get them my friend got 4 and they hit hard but i like the cerwin vega vmax way better. thats wat i got

  • Yes CVRs are pretty cheap. They are brand new, not refurbished or anything.

  • Tight i was looking on that site for new subs and saw some pretty cheap ones. I think i want to go with an 18" one though

  • You have the room for an 18? I wish I did. all I can fit behind my seat is 12s. My next system probably be 2 kicker CVX 12s or 2 kicker 10" L7 subs.

  • Yea i got an extended cab lol. Its hella nice. I have the room for the two twelves and a person back there right now lol if i get an 18 i will actually be gaining room. Im thinking about getting a MA Audio MA183XE. It looks powerfull and cheap lol. Hopefully i will be able to get it and then a custom box and a bigger better amp :)
