do they allow like rolling to avoid zombies? speaking from an evasive point of view, like if you're running between two zombies and you get in low and do a quick roll over your shoulder. maybe you risk ripping a flag off though.
@grismar1 He wanted to go through the water...I was the reason we didn't. And, let's keep this in perspective...it was a fun run. Let's not take ourselves to seriously...
@jerryjerryjerryable I would have skipped the lake too, but I thought that would immediately turn you into a zombie. At least that's what they said in the e-mail.
It's interesting to see how different the zombies were for each wave! Our 2nd Hay Maze and Water Trough Obstacle were WAY different. The Muddy Hay Maze was complete chaos because people were yelling and screaming at you and it was insane! 2:30 wave.
to answer the runner's question @5:30, yes they had a room in a back barn where professionals did hair/makeup/ & ripping/"bloodying" of the clothing we brought. i was a volunteer zombie dressed as a dead prom queen, my friends & i were stationed @4:04 in afternoon, so your earlier shift was lucky! ;)
I ran in the first wave, and the zombies were spaced so badly when I ran. They were only clumped at the obstacles. I don't mind, as I got to walk most of the way without anyone chasing me, haha
FYI, I was in that "fast people" lane of the 12pm wave and it was a HUGE disadvantage as by about the half way point there were only about 6 of us together trying to dodge all the zombies. Safety in numbers would have been MUCH better.
@FelixTCat69 I was in this wave. I started in the middle and stayed with runners the whole time. Especially when around zombies. I made it through with all 3 of my flags. It was definitely safer in numbers.
hahah you can see me trying to grab your flag after you went tru the maze around 16:13. I watched the entire thing it's soo coool!! It was cool seeing the runners asspect of it. That mud hill!! WOW!!!

@vice6996 I need to watch Ray Rice and practice some moves for next year. They allow evasion but not contact.

By the time we went around 1:30, they closed the lake because somebody broke their leg.

@skootergrrl I was looking forward to going through the water too but I was in the 1:30 wave too and it was closed.
